We needed a stump removed ASAP to finish installing a fence and considered renting a stump grinder but the reviews were not very encouraging. We found The Stump Guy had excellent reviews and they were spot on! Andy not only responded immediately with a quote but he was on site in a couple of hours. His price was the same as the rental would have been and he did a lot better job in a much more timely manner.

I was in an urgent situation. I was attempting to remove 3 cedar stumps, and was successful with one, but time was running out because my hedge trees were scheduled to be delivered within the next 4 hours and I needed the stumps removed. I called Stump Be Gone, aka Andy The Stump Guy and he was on his way to a job in my direction. He asked very specific questions to fully understand the job at hand. I sent a few photos and he was able to give me a quote immediately. He was at my house within an hour and did an outstanding job. His machine is one of a kind, completely operated by remote control and was able to grind both stumps within minutes. Also, Andy is a master at controlling that stump grinding beast. The quickness and effectiveness of his machine allows for lower rates than the competition since the job can be completed faster. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Andy to a neighbor, friend, or family.

Hello. I decided to take a moment to write about my experience using The Stump Guy. I want to be very clear that the only reason I took the time to write this review is because I wanted to show support for a small and local business that is doing it the right way, with quality work and at a fair price.

Not having any idea what to expect, I reached out to this company based solely on the good reviews that were listed here and I'm so happy that I did! I called the number and spoke with Andy who was very prompt in responding with a quote shortly after sending him my project photos. We scheduled an appointment and he showed up right on time and did an excellent job! He absolutely went above and beyond to be as informative and helpful as possible. He searched for water lines prior to cutting and was respectful of my property. He helped to provide information about my trees and was an all-around fantastic person to talk to. I know he had a busy day ahead of him but he never rushed and I just can't say enough positive things about the quality of his work and his dedication to professionalism. I will absolutely seek his help in the future and encourage you to do the same! I wish all businesses were this great to work with!

He was in and out in less than 20 minutes - although he stayed for a little bit after just to chat. Truly an awesome guy with an awesome business, and I can’t recommend him enough.

OMG. This business and the owner, Andy, are very knowledgeable in the root removal business, and he is very professional and courteous.

Andy was not only patient with me. He educated me with the various aspects of his job, tools, and the time it took to perform the effort I requested done. He prices his jobs according to effort and wear-and-tear on his equipment. This is important because he is like a surgeon working to complete the job. The process is amazing.

I have no concerns with using him again and hope your experience is the same as mine.

Had The Stump Guy come out and grind down 2 stumps for me. Very reasonable price, responds quickly, and got the job done very fast, considering one stump was 3ft by 3ft large. Super cool machine. Would recommend him any day.

In a post Covid time where no one want to work and if they do they show up late and do a poor job Andy was a breath of fresh air!

I called him Friday night and talked with him briefly. Texted him some pictures of my stumps and he said he’d be by Monday to take care of them.

Saturday morning he texted me he had some cancellations and could bump me up. He showed up EARLY! I couldn’t believe it. And got straight to work without any haggling to up-charge me! He was in and out in 30 min! So fast!

He’s price was very fair and his quality of work as fantastic. He not only ground the stump at the surface but went 11~ inches down to really get the root ball.

This is a great local business with the work ethic I wish we had more of. Don’t hesitate to hire Andy. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience! Picked up the phone right away, finished the quote in less than a minute, and came out the next morning! Job was done right with an explanation of what he would do, and then a call after (I was at work) explaining what was done. Couldn't ask for better.

Had another company come and do it before, and they did a horrible job. Called the stump guy and was here in 30minutes.did a phenomenal job on the stump. Andy grinded down 2 mesquite stumps for me. He took the time to educate me on how the online estimates would work. Most communication was through text with photos. He responds quickly and to the point. Inquired about service Thursday afternoon and he got the job done Tuesday morning while I was at work. Forms of payment are cash or check.

Andy was great to work with! Came to my house very fast and was able to knock out the stump very fast! No issues accessing my backyard with the machine and did a great job!

Andy was wonderful! He not only removed our 4 foot diameter stump, but also shared his wealth of expertise with us about what types trees we should consider when we replant, where we should replant each tree and nursery recommendations. This was greatly appreciated because we have never had to have a tree planted. He could have just removed the stump and gone on with his day, but he was kind enough to slow down and answer all of our questions. I will definitely be referring Andy to anyone I know that needs a stump removed.

Absolutely recommend! Andy was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our goal was to plant a tree in place of this stump and he even gave us recommendations about which trees would be best for the space and provide the best shade for the house. The whole process took less than 20 minutes. He overestimated the size of the stump and charged us less than he quoted. Very honest. You can tell he has a lot of experience and he actually owns and maintains his equipment. Recommending to all my friends and family.

There’s no one else I’d recommend for a stump removal! I called Andy in the morning, and within the hour, he was able to come to our house and remove a Crape Myrtle stump that had plagued us and the previous owner. The entire stump grinding process literally took no more than 20 minutes and that includes Andy getting his equipment ready. Andy was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and gave us some advice on what to plant in its place and our front yard. The cost for the project was very reasonable considering what I was offered by others on the Nextdoor App, and those people did not have the professional equipment that Andy has. If we need to do more stump grinding in our future, Andy is definitely who we will call!

Andy was able to come over the same day I called. My gate access to my backyard is limited wasn’t sure it was going to work, but he pulled it off. Very happy would hire again.
