My experience with IAQ was excellent! Gilberto was very knowledgeable and straightforward during my inspection. I did not feel pressured to buy and he only suggested what was necessary. I also want to thank Amy and Janet who worked with the credit card company to make sure that I would be able to get the financing options I was looking for. The duct cleaning was thorough and the installation process was very quick. The air quality has never been better in my home. Big thanks to everyone at IAQ!

IAQ came to us recommended and we thought we were going to have a great experience. Accidents happen as I'm well aware being a locally owned small business myself. If and when accidents occur, companies have insurance to cover the damage incurred to make the party whole again and we are completely understanding. But to force us to cover costs that we shouldn't have to incur is bad business. In this instance, IAQ had a backpack malfunction causing it to catch fire with the Tech throwing the backpack to the carpet floor in a back guest room burning a patch of the carpet in an unrepairable fashion. Thankfully no one was hurt, and the house didn't burn down. We then began the insurance claim process with Shaun. At first the process seemed seamless, then the responses to get a company to come in and replace the carpet began to lag. Approximately 5 months later the carpet still hasn’t been replaced. The insurance company that Shaun and his team have contracted attempted to state depreciation on the carpet in the pictures attached. The carpet is virtually brand new as there is only one person living in the house and this is a guest bedroom located in what is clearly a well-maintained home. The insurance company would only cover 85% of the replacement value (mind you we had to state professional movers would be required due to the antique furniture which they reluctantly agreed to include in the estimated replacement value) (and the insurance company started off with attempting to state the fire was caused by our outlets so we would be responsible for the entire replacement...bad sign at the start). Now that we have established that there is still a variance of a few hundred dollars to replace the carpet, Shaun and IAQ who claim to be an upstanding business, refuse to make us whole by covering the difference that their insurance wouldn't cover. We weren't looking for a new carpet or the many wasted hrs. and emails fighting to get this issue resolved. And the value owed isn't life altering, but it is principally how a business should operate taking care of its customers. IAQ and Shaun need to re-evaluate their insurance provider and business practices. Heaven forbid something to happen to you and your property when using this company...if it does, be ready for a fight and to pay out of pocket. Every company has their moments, it's how those companies respond when things don't always go as planned which makes a difference. Unfortunately, Shaun and his team missed out on this one. We will never recommend or use them again. Beware!

After IAQ provided a misleading response to our 1-Star review I felt the need to add context.

All I'd suggest is to read IAQ's other reviews and you'll notice a trend when it comes to IAQ taking care of their customers when mistakes happen. They may be able to perform quality work on some occasions, but you must ask yourself, do you want to be on the back end of a mistake having to fight for what's right— probably not. There are plenty of other great companies out there that you won't have to deal with a lack of care and good business.
We asked for a patch from IAQ's initial contractor who said that a patch wasn't possible for this type of burn. The 2nd contractor IAQ chose since their first went ghost stated they couldn't patch the carpet either leaving the entire carpet having to be replaced. The difference in question that IAQ's insurance wouldn't cover was a several hundred dollars which when we asked IAQ to pay the amount so we wouldn't be out any money for a mistake that wasn't our fault - they refused to pay. Again, we didn't ask for a new carpet. Insurance is for the uh-oh situations a company may encounter and IAQ refused to cover their mistake. I own 4 businesses in the services space with experience in industry going on 23+yrs. You don't treat your customers this way. I hope you don't get stuck in the same situation we did. Fortunately for us we were able to cover the difference and fix IAQ's problem.

We had our HVAC system cleaned and the air purifier installed and we are so amazed at the difference we can smell and feel in cleaner air. We’re so excited to feel healthier and more clear as a result of breathing clean air! We all had allergy symptoms that would not go away until this service. They did a wonderful job and are a trustworthy business

Shaun and his crew were punctual, professional and did a really great job with cleaning our AC and ducts! They sent me pictures and videos of the whole process, cleaned everything very well afterwards and were excellent with communication throughout the process. They also explained the options prior to doing any work so that I was well informed of the issues and my options. I recommend them highly!

The San Antonio, Texas Kolorkist professionals - Chris L., Junior & Joe exceeded my expectations. Chris L. genuinely addressed our health concerns regarding the SEEML laboratory confirmed presence of Chaetomium, Penicillium/Aspergillus & Basidiospores. The fungal mold growth was in our entire HVAC system & in every room located at the Mission Oaks Apartment complex. I have attached the before and after pictures of the HVAC registers & ventilation system cleaning process. Kolorkist provided a HEPA portable filtration unit for overnight usage and returned the next day to conduct the air quality sample test. We will receive the air sample tests within the week. This is a great company with exceptional professionals & services. Thank you so for providing our family a solution to our mold concerns.

IAQ did an amazing job. They not only cleaned the ducts in my home, but they found that I was leaking air in between my wall. They fixed that and now my home feels so much better and my AC does not run all day like it use to. Instead it may turn on a few times a day for 5 or 10 minutes then turn off. Inside temperature gets to the thermostat setting faster. Thank you IAQ for the great work.

These guys did a very thorough job replacing torn ducts and cleaning out all the leaves, mold, etc... that had accumulated in our HVAC system. The house smells and sounds much better now!

IAQ did a great job installing the air purification unit to our existing AC unit in the attic. Then promptly fogged the ducts to kill bacteria and mold that could be growing. We can smell the difference in the clean air after 24 hours. They were fast, professional and reasonable. Definitely recommend.
