Tree reviews in San Antonio, Texas

Friendly staff. All types of trees for all your needs. They mainly focus on trees, shrubs , grasses, and flowers that thrive in SA. And also have very nice pots.

Thank you to James Sirbek and his manager for helping us find the right trees to plant in our backyard. Trees that have matured are not cheap, but they helped us work within our budget so that we could get what we wanted within what we felt we could afford. We appreciate the friendly and educational manner with which you approach clients! We hope to be back in the future

Wow! Great place (Alamo Ranch location) to get your Christmas tree this season and plan your upcoming landscaping projects with beautiful trees/ plants. Barron was knowledgeable and super helpful. Staff was quick and awesome in loading our tree.

Starting with Megan McCloskey my salesperson, my overall experience was seamless & professional. She was not pushy but extremely knowledgeable and helpful with making my decision on 10 trees for my property. They gave me day prior to delivery they informed and reminded me. The day of delivery I was notified about an hour before arrrival. The entire planting crew was pleasant and professional. The lead, Antoine, explained everything they were doing and made sure it was done according to my specifications. We actually decided we wanted 3 more trees and I went back to the Alamo Ranch location and worked with Barron Eckhardt who was equally professional and helpful and within 30 minutes I was out the door with exactly what I wanted. Overall my experience could not have been better. I have worked with many nurseries in the San Antonio area and Moon Nurseries so far have been the best.

Beautiful trees and plants upon first impression. James Sirbek was super helpful and professional with assisting my husband and I with picking out our front entry way plants. Will be definitely coming back in the future for all our plant needs and plan to purchase a new tree for our backyard!

I needed a couple of taller pots for plants with large roots that have outgrown their previous pots. Moon Valley had the perfect pots in stock. The customer service was friendly and professional. They have an impressive selection of mature trees and lots of large pots. Great nursery.

We purchased a beautiful red oak tree from William at Moon Valley Nurseries at Alamo Ranch. Kevin Morales and his crew came by today to plant it. They were amazing! They are all
Knowledgeable and skilled. They were on schedule as they arrived to plant it. They allowed me to observe and I learned so much from them. They did an excellent job and the tree added so much to our landscape. I highly recommend them If you are in need of professional landscaping.

We had an excellent experience at Moon Valley Nurseries. Katelyn helped us pick out our new Iceberg roses, and she was absolutely fantastic. Super knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure we chose the right plants for our space. You can tell she really knows her stuff.

The service overall was impeccable from start to finish. Eric, the manager, was also great to speak with. Friendly, professional, and very approachable. It’s refreshing to deal with a team that actually enjoys what they do and takes pride in it.

If you’re looking for quality plants or trees and even better service, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Staff is very very helpful and experienced.

If you need a place that prioritizes shrubs and trees, this is the spot. If you need landscaping experts, they also have them there too. They have protection plans and even some discounts when you buy a certain amount. Pots and statues are also available for purchase as well.

We went in and were treated wonderfully. James Sirbek took us around the property until we found our tree. He explained the process throughly.
So happy with the experience from the beginning, through day the tree came home to the aftercare we have received. Thank you Moon Valley staff!!!

This place is amazing, the place was beautiful from the start. The place is amazing, the staff did a great job showing me around and took time to explain everything to me. I highly recommend this nursery for all needs. James and Eric were amazing. Please get the moon juice.

Came in today for Christmas trees and had such a great experience! The trees were all gorgeous and high-quality. James greeted us immediately and helped us from start to finish—super friendly, helpful, and made the whole visit a breeze. We’ll definitely be back!

One of my favorite things now is going to the new Moon Valley Nursery! Soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with friendly smiles and a hello. I love walking through the nursery where you see abundance of big beautiful trees and bushes all neatly organized. James Sirbeck a lead designer is always full of energy and a big smile ready to help you in any way. I needed an evergreen tree that was tall and was unsure the one he hand picked out was tall enough. James hopped right up onto the root ball to show me how tall it would be planted. I asked James for some help on my front walkway and he promptly made arrangements to come by the house and made some beautiful suggestions giving the area more color variations and texture to a shady spot. Several days later I noticed a bougainvillea at the other Moon Valley nursery and asked if he could add this to my scheduled planting. James himself went over to the nursery picked out a beautiful bougainvillea was sure to send me a photo of it and had it ready for my planting day. He’s amazing to work with always ready to help. Planting day went smoothly. Sean Washburn planting manager and crew of 5 guys jumped right into action. James had flagged everything before they arrived, and everything was placed perfectly. It was a busy day for me a construction crew had just left Sean and his crew worked around the construction area like it was nothing. Sean saw me picking up pieces of lumber to move out of the walk way and he jumped in to help me out. Before I knew it he had picked up the rest. The crew was so efficient and left the lawn and garden spotless. This nursery out shines all the others here in San Antonio, Texas. Thank you Eric Meyers the Moon Valley nursery manager for all your hard work. It shows in every aspect of your nursery.

From the consultation to the tree selection, payment planning, location planning (James Sirbek /Eric Meyers and Barron Eckhardt), to the digging (Antoine Foles-team lead) and planting (Sean Washburn-team lead), the teams at Moon Nurseries were terrific! They were patient, they listened, were respectful and their attention to detail was top notch. At first, I admit that I had a bit of sticker shock, but when I watched what went into the whole process, especially the digging (imagine jackhammering for four hours) and planting process (imagine moving 2000 lbs around), the pricing seemed very fair. Hire Moon’s for your next tree/landscaping project!

We picked up a fresh Christmas tree as part of the giveaway for first responders, military, healthcare workers, and educators. The tree is beautiful! And one of the freshest we have had in a long time. Thank you Moon Valley Nurseries for the gift this holiday season.

I had a wonderful experience working with James at the nursery. He’s extremely knowledgeable about plants and clearly passionate about what he does. James took the time to listen to what I was looking for and helped me choose the perfect shrubs for my yard. He gave great advice on care and maintenance, and everything he recommended has been thriving. His friendly attitude and attention to detail really stood out. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and professional. I highly recommend asking for James Sirbek if you visit the Moon Valley nursery

Eric and his staff at the 1604 and guilbeau MV location were truly nice, informative, and made my journey for finding the trees I needed in a short amount of time was part of God's plan! I wanted one tree for my son and I to plant as his own and a second tree to plant for my Aunt's memorial service.

Eric and his staff showed my mom and I around their beautiful nursery and explained a lot of the questions I had about the trees I wanted and their purpose for planting them. I just felt that the exchange in conversations were easy and geniune.
Eric suggested that I take my 4year old son to pick out his own tree the day they would have more trees delivered to their location and to me that thoughtful idea made it more meaningful and special for us!
I send our love and gratitude to the Moon Valley Nursery for this experience in our journey! 🙏💙

Wow! New NURSERY in Alamo Ranch area. What a beautiful nursery. They have a great variety of mature plants and trees. Probably one of the best tree selections I have seen here in San Antonio. They have trees that will add instant impact and immediate change to any landscape project. I saw several trees that were 30ft tall or more. Beautiful palms, and shrubs. All plants are grown or have been acclimated for the South Texas weather before they are brought to the nurseries. The prices for the trees include delivery and installation. I ended up taking the most beautiful red lantana plant home. It looks gorgeous and she is huge. I love it! The customer service was amazing and Katlyin and Eric were super helpful and informative. Check out my pictures and look at how pretty all the plants are. So don't take my word for it and go check it out for yourself! If you're a plant lover like me, you'll love this place.

Frank and his crew came out Thursday and dug the hole for our Crepe Myrtle Tuscorora which is scheduled for delivery on Friday. The crew was amazing and had the hole dug and prepped in about 30mins.
Today Friday Tony Flores and his crew delivered our tree, a Crepe Myrtle Toscarora we had picked out for our yard. The crew arrived and immediately got to work putting our tee in. Entire process was completed in about an hour we are very happy with the entire process. Everything from picking out the tree, having hole dug and tree planted was very quick, professional and friendly. Moon alley and your crews deserve 10 stars for all you have done.
