Really good communication from the time I called and throughout the process. Fair prices and knowledgeable staff.
Mark was able to come out the same day. Didn't overcharge or try to up-sell. Easy fix for our 20+ year old furnace.
Quality equipment, ultra low quality installation. Unqualified installers that had to return over 4 times. AC unit in attic still leaks and have had to perform four separate repairs to my ceiling.
I found a well written article about geothermal and decided the company would be knowledgeable. I contacted several times for an estimate. First I called and was told to email. I emailed and received slow replies, and short, barely understandable email responses. I have never gotten help.
Been trying to work with Mark and Tammy for many years. The install was subpar at best. Many corners were cut that are causing issues where my AC has never been dependable. Ridiculously hard to work with as far as getting service or repairs. I have found out that I have been lied to and told different information than contractors, been told that my system was being monitored for over a month while it was not working. What is there to monitor when my system is locked out? There was obviously no monitoring going on. I have since been told that the ground loop is not adequate for my house and that I have to install an entire new loop. Abysmal communication, It’s unfortunate because I was so optimistic about Geothermal.
Please steer clear of this company. Mark and Tammy did a poor job of managing my project. Neither of them actually do the physical work or onsite oversight (until you repeatedly bring up issues to them). They began work on my property without getting the proper permits or following the county setback requirements. When a county inspector came to my property Mark would only argue with the inspector. Mark insulted and argued with the inspector for months. I had to step in when I realized what was going on and that Mark was not going to make any progress. The inspector was actually nice and clearly laid out what the codes were. Once we finally got the approvals Earth Power struggled to begin the actual work. They said the first stage of the work will only take about 4 days and it ended up taking 4 weeks. Then they'd say they'll start on a given day and not show up. Or show up and find out they don't have the right parts and then would not return until the next day. The crews they have doing the inside work are extremely sloppy and do not take pride in their work. Marco typically arrived between 10am-11am and then stopped working between 2pm-3pm. The inside duct work and equipment installation took over 3 weeks to complete. Multiple times they said the job was complete only to have me find glaring errors in their work. Such as, detached ductwork blowing cool air into the attic and an overflow switch that was not attached. The overflow switch led to water leaking onto my ceiling causing it to cave in. They also installed one of the units on top of a gas valve. The valve is actually supporting the weight of the machine. I confronted Tammy about how they began work without permitting or following the county codes and how that really slowed us down when the inspector got involved and she responded with, "well, sometimes you get caught and sometimes you don't". Stay as far from this company as possible. Attached are photos of the mess they left and issues with the equipment after they claimed the system was working.
