In the Spring we were subjected to the periodic hail storms that totaled our roof. Everything was typical of what I had gone though over the years with replacing a roof. I had learned long again to seek out only QUALITY ROOFERS. This time was going to be more of a challenge. We had bought one side of a duplex in Ft Worth and now had to deal with another party to properly get the repairs done. The other side is owned by an investor, and we had already learned that they were not necessarily concerned with proper maintenance and saving money was their only concern. This is where CJ came in. He did a wonderful job of coordinating the work between both parties to produce a quality product, very satisfactorily to both parties. I have no concerns that my new roof will take care of us for many years to come.

CJ and Hart Roofing handled our replacement roof and gutters recently. He kept us informed as they worked with insurance and reached a very satisfactory conclusion. CJ personally supervised work which was done timely and very well. Slight problem with pergola in back yard but they took full responsibility and had it all fixed in 2 days. Highly recommend them.

Choosing Hart Roofing and Construction for your roofing repairs will be a great decision. Although my review is lengthy, I am passionate when trades focus on the customer needs. I believe it will assist in your decision.

The decision to replace a roof either comes as an urgent necessity resulting from minor leaks to major storm damage, or the nagging anxiety that you know the roof is old and something is bound to happen sooner or later. In a perfect world, your roof should be higher on the preventive maintenance schedule but is often deferred to a later time especially if there’s no immediate issues. A typical roof in Texas should be replaced every 15-20 years, so there’s plenty of time, right?

Another mindset considers that preventative maintenance is an out-of-pocket expense whereas waiting until there’s a problem may result in insurance paying for the repairs. Trust me, although we pay a good amount of money for insurance “services”, we don’t realize until we need assistance that insurance companies are in the business of making money and those services can be subjective based on insurance business practices. This realization should not become evident when your roof is now damaged.

In the same breath, the time to find a good roofing contractor should not be in relationship to urgent needs. As most have experienced, immediately after a storm, affected areas are inundated with the good, the bad, and the ugly contractors soliciting for your business. Knowing in advance (preventatively) who the good contractors are could make the difference in not only the repairs but also how to deal with the services end of your insurance provider. This alone could make a substantial difference in your personal experience. Always do your due diligence in researching roofing contractors and rely on friends and family to provide firsthand recommendations.

As a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, I was fortunate enough to have a plethora of firsthand references within the Houston area. I was introduced to CJ at Hart Roofing and Construction who made all the difference in the world to provide peace of mind. As a former (named) insurance adjuster and roofing inspector, CJ was well experienced and covered every aspect of the repairs needed. Hart Construction worked directly with my insurance provider throughout the claims process. CJ documented the damage through inspection reports, handheld and drone photographic documentation performed before, during and after the work was completed, and always remained readily accessible to me. The work was completed in one day, the workers were very respectful, damage mitigation was set up to prevent damage to windows, landscaping, and certainly had a huge focus on zero footprint for thorough cleanup: installing tarps all around my property, including my pool and decking. Very impressed!

The documentation provided was extremely helpful in supporting my insurance claim, maintaining compliance with my windstorm policy, assisted in reducing my insurance premium, and work performed to the satisfaction of my homeowner’s association. In a very big nutshell, CJ and Hart Roofing and Construction provided me with the confidence that the job was done right the first time and that all my roofing needs were met.

Initially, I went the route of deferral, experienced how different contractors employ tactics to obtain your business and yes, even struggled with the not so service end of my insurance company. Although my insurance company has a good reputation, I firmly believe that not all insurance adjusters keep the customers interest in mind and look more to the business end of minimizing insurance payouts; that may enhance adjuster’s end of year bonuses for doing so.

Dan was extremely responsive throughout the entire process of rehabilitating our flagstone patio. Old sealant needed to be removed, repairs done, and high quality new sealant applied. The end result is fantastic and Dan's knowledge of his products and how our stone would react was impressive.

We are absolutely thrilled with the work these guys did on our patio! It looks so beautiful. They explained the whole process very thoroughly, arrived exactly when they said they were going to, and were just very efficient and clean in their work. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future!

Great American Stone Sealers did a fabulous job restoring our flagstone deck. I believe it looks as good, if not better, as the day it was installed.

Daniel and his team were very professional, answered our constant questions, and managed to do a magnificent job despite having to work around the capricious weather and customers that micromanage 😀

UPDATE: We had some issues with the driveway after completion of the work. The team came back and basically redid the entire job. This time the weather cooperated, and everything came out flawless. It’s rare to work with a group that cares so deeply about client satisfaction. I would recommend them unconditionally!!
