I have lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 30 years, including the past 9 years in Southlake. Over that time, I have worked with several roofing companies and service providers without significant issues—until now. This was my first experience being openly called a “liar” by a project manager.
Approximately six months after my roof replacement and solar panel reinstallation by Best Roofer Solar, a friend noticed a black stain on my living room ceiling. I initially dismissed it, assuming it might have been caused by the cleaning crew. However, the stain gradually enlarged after each rainfall, and eventually water began dripping from the ceiling during storms.
I contacted Best Roofer Solar for assistance, but because the issue arose after their one-year warranty period, I was required to pay $350 for an inspection. The technician could not identify the source of the leak, and the project manager suggested it might be a plumbing issue—despite the fact that the leakage occurred exclusively during rainfall. Even after I provided clear photos and videos documenting water intrusion only during rain events, the project manager dismissed my concerns and accused me of fabricating the problem.
I ultimately hired a different company, which promptly located the leak and performed the necessary repairs. The root cause was a failed rubber seal beneath one of the solar panels; the original seal had not been replaced during the panel reinstallation following the roof work.
This has been one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have encountered. The sales team was exceptionally professional and persuasive, which led me to choose the company for the roof replacement. However, once the project was complete, any post-installation issues appeared to receive little support. Customers who report legitimate problems—even when supported by photographic and video evidence—risk being dismissed or accused of dishonesty.
