We called because we smelled gas - took our plumber from Tierney 4 days to complete - at several thousand dollars. The work was sloppy and his manager needed to come out to assist.

The always do a great job, very professional. As a property management company we have a lot of repairs done by outside vendors. They are expensive as far as the plumbers we do business with and no breaks for great customers.

Fast and professional. Needed multiple small fixes done: leaky faucets, clogged drain, leaky overflow drain. Gary was able to fix everything quickly and professionally. Would use again, especially if we need something more complicated in the future.

I use Tierney Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs. Jason Douglas is very collaborative and professional and is great at providing meaningful and impactful foresight for any job.

We called Tierney to fix our garbage disposal, a running toilet, a bathroom that had a slight / barely noticeable leak in the faucet, our outdoor water spicket, and a leak in our shower which they fixed previously (so basically their previous fix DID NOT WORK). Only the garbage disposal was fully fixed but the other items I was not impressed with. This is what they left us with along with almost a $1,000 bill:

1) Running toilet - The guy broke off a piece of a piece of the toilet porcelain resulting in us having to buy a $200 NEW TOILET. While he was fixing it, he even said out loud "I broke the toilet!" They only waived a portion of the travel fee and only offered to waive this small fee after my husband called the owner to inform them of what had happened. The plumber was defensive towards me after his boss called him to ask what had happened.

2) Small leak in bathroom faucet - leak was not fixed and the plumber made it worse. Guy said he had to order cartridges or whatever. He tried to leave the faucet in its original state (before he touched anything) and the faucet started to leak even more and was therefore not usable. Not sure how much we had to pay for him to break it. My father in law ended up coming over to fix what the plumber was unable to "fix".

3) Outdoor water spicket - he took out several bricks, exposing our insulation, to fix this. Now we have to fix someone to fix our bricks. Just more $$$$ to spend to fix what this guy "fixed".

4) Shower leak - as I mentioned, they had previously fixed this but there was still a leak. Basically their previous fix did not work.

One piece of advice for the company: Please take off your shoes or wear shoe covers before you walk all over the house. He originally took off his shoes. Then I noticed later on he had them on. Geezus - it's disgusting so be considerate of people's homes!!!

I'm a tenant in a rental property and have used tierney a couple times. The plumbers are very professional and curious, however, the lady that answers the phone is incredibly unprofessional! There was an unpaid bill from my landlord (not me) and I'm not sure they even have his phone number correct because he always calls people back and pays bills. This woman was being snarky with me. A few hours later when I called to say that my landlord called them and left a message but had not received a return call, she actually replied "How does it feel?" I have never had such poor customer service or someone be shop rude!

Ron and his Team replaced all the gasoline in our house in one day. Very professional and great to work with. We called several plumbers and could not get anyone to come out. Highly recommend!

We had a toilet flange that completely destroyed itself that was, unfortunately, hooked up to some old leaded pipe. I called Tierney plumbing on the recommendation of a friend, and they gave me the bad news: fixing it was going to require jackhammering the slab down to the pipe.

Tierney plumbing busted out our tile so clean you could run a T-Square flush across the hole and got the pipe replaced with modern PVC in less than half a day. Real fast, real clean, on a job that could have been really painful. The plumber they sent out was professional, courteous and pleasant. They really handled a bad situation EXTREMELY well.

I can't recommend them enough.

Had a bad clog in our master bath and Tierney Plumbing sent Kris out quick. He was prompt and very professional. I didn't feel 'sold' or scared into doing any unnecessary work and he provided insight as to what caused our problem. Would definitely use them again!

I have an older home on an inner city lot with small sewer lines and require a clean out frequently or about every 18 months. These guys are prompt, courteous and professional. They take extra care to keep everything clean and really look after what they do. They are fair priced and always advise what the fee will be before they start. I wouldn’t consider asking anyone else. Thanks to Ron for setting the bar so high. UPDATE: These folks just replaced all the master bath plumbing, tub and shower after a disaster of having pads flushed and creating a nightmare of backed up sewage. Once again, they proved to be the professionals in the marketplace with solid recommendations and installation services.

I noticed their van at my next door neighbors house so I went and spoke with their plumber to see if he could take a look at my running toilet. He said I would have to call the main number to schedule an appointment and that they give free estimates. I called the number and advised the lady I spoke with that their plumber is at my next door neighbors house and that I have a running toilet that I would like for him to take a look at so I can use their services in fixing it. She said that they do do free estimates but it was unnecessary regarding what I was describing to her. I then asked her what the problem with the toilet could be and how much the parts are to fix. She respond saying that she doesn't know until they look at it???? Their plumber is next door and I advised her it would literally take him less than 5 minutes. In her melancholy tone she stated that they are unable to give an estimate. I ended the call by thanking her for her time and she just hung up. These guys are a joke. If that's the way they act with potential clients they probably did me a favor in the end by saving me the grief in dealing with them!

I have used Tierney for many plumbing needs and have always found them to be very courteous and professional. They are always able to get here quickly and they show up on time. Recently, I had a situation where something went wrong with a repair they had performed and there was some resulting damage to my home. Ron Tierney himself came to check things out and, once he assessed the situation, he accepted full responsibility for the issue. Mistakes are inevitable, the real test is how one behaves when that happens. This company demonstrated the utmost professional responsibility. In my experience with Tierney, I have found them to be experts in their trade, and more importantly, I can attest to the fact that if something goes wrong, this company will do the right thing. They have our absolute loyalty. I am grateful that good, honest companies still exist.

They charged me $202.50 to spend two hours on a weekend trying to unclog a washer drain. They couldn't fix it.

Two days later, Atomic A2Z Plumbing did the exact same thing, but used a better snake to actually cut through the clog and fixed the issue in less than an hour.

I asked Tierney for a refund, saying I shouldn't pay them for a basic issue they didn't know how to fix. They got offended and started arguing that that's just how the industry goes.

I will never use this place again.

Own 7 properties in the area and have used Tierney plumbing for 8 plus years for different repairs. Called Baker Bros and Tierney for a repair at my Dallas property. On a Thursday, Baker went out and quoted $1113. On Friday, Tierney went out and did the repair without any contact for $1403. Asked why I never received a call and Jennifer advised that they switched to a new program and no longer had any property history in the system and did the repair when talking to the tenant. Asked them to at least honor the quote from Baker Bros since they didn't even call for approval to do the work. They wouldn't honor the mistake of changing systems. 8 year history of using Tierney all for nothing.

Ron and Jennifer are always professional and do a wonderful job. If you are looking for a plumbing company that will do it right the first time, look no further. They are large enough to be responsive in an emergency and small enough to keep things personal. Highly recommend Tierney Plumbing!

Two busted sillcocks replaced in no time at all. Tierney dispatched Michael to our house. He was great in explaining the repairs as well as sharing insight on how to prevent such from happening going forward. Wish there was a slight break on the pricing of the parts though as we have been customers for nearly 8 years. Maybe next time? Either way, they do a great job. Thanks again Tierney Team!

We were recommended to Tierney Plumbing from an excavation company we had come out and perform work on our home and I am very pleased with the work they performed. Tierney Plumbing was patient and communicated clearly to us the work that they were doing on our home. Their pricing was very reasonable, considering they had to come out two separate times due to other unavoidable circumstances, and our family rests easier knowing that they were able to resolve our plumbing issues with top notch service. Our main water line coming into the house had a major break. Tierney plumbing came out promptly. Brian and Alex were the plumbers assigned. They were very professional, explained what happened and why, fixed it promptly, and cleaned up the site.

I usually use Mark Ondras, but needed a toilet installed quickly and Mark wasn’t able to do it (he’s very popular). We had Tierney Plumbing come out. They were able to get us scheduled very quickly. The lady I spoke with informed me it’s a minimum of an hour for the job, which would be $168.00 - and then thereafter they charge by 15 minute increments. I agreed. The job they performed seemed fine. However - the way they charge starts when the technician arrives in the van until the time they leave. So - even though the tech only worked for an hour and a half - they charged us additional time that he spent in the van when he arrived. Furthermore - the tech took phone calls and was texting while working. The owner said that doesn’t matter. We technically got overcharged $42.00 (which isn’t a lot), but they are willing to lose a future client over that amount. Waiting for Mark Ondras next time.

I cannot recommend this company enough!!! We have a very busy house with three teen/preteen BOYS. One of our toilets suddenly started backing up into the shower (YUCK). So I searched for local plumbers and called the closest one to us. It was a large company and I wanted someone who could “fix it in a flash”. BAD DECISION. After I waited all day for them to no show I started my search again. I called Tierney Plumbing. They were very responsive and got me right on the schedule saying someone could be out within 2 hours! Yes please! We were even MORE surprised when the plumber called asking if it was ok for him to come EARLY! We were met with Joe and let me tell you…Joe is the kindest, most professional and RESPECTFUL man ever!!! He was efficient. He was careful with everything. He explained everything. He went over and above what he needed to to make EXTRA sure the issue was resolved. He educated us on some things and … most importantly… never said ONE negative thing about the “other” company. He spoke very highly of his own company, including the owners and other employees. He said they were all very family oriented and I can promise you… IT SHOWS! I will never ever call another company for any plumbing needs. I had no issues with their pricing either. We actually thought we would be paying a lot more than we did!! We also have a few leaky faucets and I will be scheduling only with Tierney Plumbing. AND… I will request Joe again as well.
