Our AC went out on Labor Day weekend and they were able to send a tech out on Labor Day. We were so grateful for a smooth and fast process in the repair.

Eric came out to diagnose an issue with our furnace. He was able to identify the issue very quickly and got us back up and running. Awesome job and highly recommended professionals!

Dennis was a great tech, he and the Team worked with us and together to get our A/C back up and running.

This is the best A/C company in the greater Houston area!!! They are very responsive, extremely knowledgeable and their technicians are very skilled and highly professional.

My A/C stopped working, so we started looking around for a reputable company for the repair. We discovered Douglas Mechanical here on Google. Reached out to them and they had a tech on site the same day, and it was on a Sunday!!! He was able to diagnose the issue, and provided several options, from just the most basic repair, to the benefits of replacing additional worn components. Given the age of the system, we opted to replace the entire unit. Also got a fantastic price as well! Furthermore, they offer an excellent warranty on both parts and labor.

After closing the deal, they had an installer crew here the very next day. The team installed the entire system, and did a great job.

There are three things I want when searching for a good A/C company: Quality, good customer service, and good product offering. This company sets the bar on all three!

The AC technician Dennis was very personable and knowledgeable. He did a great job. Douglas Mechanical is admittedly on the pricy side, but they always deliver.

Awful company. Stay away unless you don’t mind waiting two weeks to have an AC unit repaired. They just keep saying we have policies in place and there’s several departments that have to their part. You know my issue. Order the part and give me an eta. It’s that simple.

Update: My home warranty approved the parts needed 3 days ago. When I called 2 days ago to ask what’s the next step, I was told the parts were ordered. I then asked for an eta on shipping. Was told they have no idea. They explained there’s a shortage (even tho the part was ordered 🤦🏼‍♂️). Then blamed not having enough workers to do the job. I left this review after I called my home warranty 2 days ago and they said the part was ordered by Douglas Mechanical and will take 2-4 days. After calling to complain, Douglas Mechanical called me 1 day ago and said the part is in and they can come out next day. Now, they are blaming their own coworker for leaving state lines to deal with a family issue and apologized someone else didn’t take over the case and get the parts and info to me.

So yeah, the owner’s comment on my post is a lie. I would NOT recommend this company after failed communication and lies.

Douglas Mechanical is the company you want for your AC, especially if you use home warranty. We have used them multiple times through AHS and we always make sure to request them for all our AC services. Every single tech that has come out has been excellent in both diagnosing and also fixing the problem. Special thanks to Michael and Marco, who were the ones who came out recently. This time, our AC kept having new issues arise so Jared, the owner, helped to explain the 2 different options that we had regarding fixing and replacing the entire unit, and since he worked on getting us the best price he could, we went ahead with replacing our entire unit and I am so happy that we did! They honored their word with the quote (very honest company!) and their installation job was top notch (they made sure everything was done right, for example, using mastic to make sure everything is sealed 100% and also making sure the drain pan was level-the previous one they removed was not). This company definitely goes above and beyond, highly recommend Douglas Mechanical for all your AC needs!

Fast service and quality equipment! They were in and out in a fraction of the estimated time. Would hire these guys any day of the week moving forward!

The only complaint is that Joe Esparza forgot to dust off the debris from the attic, which left some on the carpet. My tenant was not happy about this, but I’m sure he won’t make the same mistake again. Aside from that, he performed the job well. Thank you.

The two Techs Repair & installers were effective and efficient in their work. Jose' team was respected and professional during their work.

Jonathan came out to do a maintenance check of my AC unit and repair an AC drain line clog. He offered excellent advice and my unit is working great in preparation of the spring Texas heat. Jonathan represented Douglas Mechanical in a great way through is explanations of what maintenance while not being pushy like some HVAC providers. It looks like it may be a hot summer and thanks to this tuneup from Douglas Mechanical I feel I’m in good shape for it.

The technician was extremely thorough and knowledgeable about the issues with my AC unit and thermostat. He took the time to explain everything clearly and offered several helpful suggestions to keep the system running efficiently. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers, and his professionalism and dedication definitely deserve recognition — even a raise!

We had an issue with our system and met with Dave. He took the time to make sure we had the correct size, supply and return of air in our home. We replaced two complete systems and the technicians were outstanding. The systems are working great and we can feel the difference. Everyone on the team did a great job!

Quick response when my ac gave out. Houston is hot and I appreciate that they came out same day to fix my issue and it was reasonable too 10/5 stars!!!!!!

Michael from Douglas Mechanical was fantastic. He was very thorough and went above and beyond to fix our issue, and we felt like he really took care of our system instead of giving us a hack repair job. We went nearly a week waiting for AC after calling the home warranty for service and Douglas Mechanical was very compassionate and patient with us at our repair appointment. Thank you for your help and information, we really appreciated you guys!

The service man Joe was on time; polite, knowledgeable and efficient. The job was done in very short time and the area was left tidy.

Technician was on time and very informative on what it going on. I will recommend this company moving forward for all my A/C needs. They even called me back less than 24 hours later to check in and make sure all is still well with the part that was replaced. No more hot house after fan module was replaced. Blowing cool air again!!!!

From guy who came to my home (Billy) to the next day install I’ve been amazed! Before that they kept reaching out to me to follow up on a service call that didn’t go as I hoped but turned out great!

So If I could give this company 0 stars I would!!! Douglas Mechanical was sent to my home by my home warranty company for A/C repairs. The tech claimed we needed a new unit because of a leak. I knew this was false, so I got a second opinion and found that the relay box was glowing red and the system was not leaking. This could have burned down my home.(See the Pictures - how could you miss that.)
Also, my warranty would not cover it because the tech put in the leak was not normal wear and tear.
Do not trust this company. You have been warned!!!
