I decided to go solar on my home. Working with Affordable Solar Roof & Air was a great experience! Cody helped explain and get everything set up. The installation was within a few weeks and the process was simple.

It has declined so much since I first dealt with them. I have 2 systems with them, and I presented a concern/issue that i wanted to get looked at, also they have not finished the work it was promised, and I have sent several emails and still being ignored. They only think about the money, once the finance goes through, they forget about you. Don't use them.

Justin Montgomery handled the detach/install of my new solar panels and new roof. He made it so easy to deal with insurance company and kept me up to date and informed on what to expect from insurance company all the way down to installers. He was very informative with any questions I had. I’ve never dealt with a more friendly, polite and prompt company before.
Affordable solar roof and air has my 100% recommendation for anyone looking to have solar energy in the future.

I was lied to by the salesman at Affordable Solar, Roof, & Air in Tomball, TX. He promised the federal tax credit would give me 30% back as a refund check on the $46,089 solar system (19 Qcell panels + Tesla Powerwall/inverter), making it sound like I’d get a big cash payout to cover costs or payments.
Reality: The Residential Clean Energy Credit is nonrefundable—no cash refund, just a tax offset that depends on what you owe the IRS. My CPA confirmed there was zero cash back—the credit didn’t deliver what was promised, and I got nothing in the form of a refund check.
The EnFin loan (Hatch Bank) was sold as affordable with lower payments for 18 months, but they jump dramatically after that unless you make a large prepayment—which the supposed “refund check” was supposed to provide. This was never clearly explained during the sale.
When I confronted the salesman via text about the false promise, he deflected, blamed my CPA, and claimed companies buy “tax liabilities” for cash (completely false for residential solar credits per IRS rules).
This was straight-up misleading sales and failure to disclose critical loan details. I have already filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General (deceptive practices/DTPA) and will be filing more with CFPB, OCCC, TDLR, and BBB. Do not trust promises from this company—get everything in writing and verify independently with a tax pro and lawyer before signing. Buyer beware—avoid this company if you value honesty.
