I needed some lights and switches installed in our new home. I found Express home services via Thumbtack, and Aaron was super helpful through the entire process and showed me around several areas of my home.

The lights came out great and it was a very pleasant experience. I would easily recommend their services if you’re looking for quality work that can be done within a reasonable timeline.

Emilio was great - very meticulous and thorough. Installed plumbing for new washer & dryer upstairs in which we had problems with other companies & their quotes. Emilio was very courteous and knowledgeable and did a great job. Would highly recommend.

Really a shame how everything has been handled post-service.

I had an electrical service as my first visit, and everything went seemingly fine. A bit pricey, but I was happy with the service, and the associate did a great job. I even signed up for a membership and was looking forward to routine maintenance.

However, since then, it’s been quite the pain.

I had a scheduled checkup for plumbing, and it was rescheduled twice. The third time, the plumber was running several hours behind, so I called to cancel my membership since it was becoming an overall inconvenience.

Months later, today, I was called again to “schedule my maintenance.” But I thought I had canceled my membership? Have I?

I asked the associate to verify that my membership had been canceled, and she hung up on me.

Honestly, I’m still not sure if my membership has even been canceled. I feel like months down the road I’m going to get charged and have to deal with an inevitable chargeback, which is just another annoyance.

Really a shame. I’d be happy paying for a membership for home checkups like this, but the overall customer experience has been a dud.

Edit: I've changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars. As I think that's a bit more fair in hindsight. The owner and supervisor reached out to apologize. While I appreciate the sentiment, the above post remains true and it doesn't just make what happened negligible. To be fair, it seems to be I'm an outlier and most other people to seem to have a good overall experience.

Josh was great! We had a small issue but I tell you what, josh handled it like a pro, and was back first thing in the am for final repair. I would use them again in a heart beat!! They also gave me a discount off my invoice for the trouble👍.

Bryce helped us with our electrical issues. He was a delight to work with and took care of everything. Would recommend him highly.

Emilio went out of his way and did an excellent job of replacing stop valves and a new kitchen faucet. When the new faucet was defective he went out and replaced it. He made sure everything was working properly and cleaned up thoroughly before he left. He was very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend him for any plumbing repairs.

Being a member lets us have free tune ups and checks. This time they found our heater is putting out unhealthy levels of carbon monoxide. The unit was 22 years old and still running. We could have had a lot of trouble with that. But having it detected early we had the new unit installed. They were very nice. All of there workers have been so nice and helpful.

We were fortunate to get Emilio for various installations needed for our bathroom remodel. He is a skillful plumber with a positive attitude and great work ethic.
He has completed several installments from a vanity to a water heater with precision.
Very satisfied with the results.

Aaron and Xavier came and extended a circuit for me and they did a great job! They got it done quickly and were super professional and it looks great!

Update I have to say that all the guys that have come out and helped Aaron head electrical, Tanner head plumber, and Ashton head HVAC plus Christian and forgive me for the other guys name, I wish I could remember they have really went above and beyond. We are still making sure all system are running but the work they have done has improved over the years I have been using express, thank you for working on building a strong team!

The owner replied to me right away, he sent guys out to get my heating unit in compliance. Made sure my electrical panel was working properly and since the I used them to fix many error my contractor made with plumbing and electrical. Our home is coming along.

I got my furnace, central air, and upgraded electric panels done with Express a couple years ago. When I got my roof done all the connections collapsed and they got mad when I told them I was going to report it to the fire department, they got a new “expert” out . He came and half asses it and now it’s leaking like crazy. I pointed it out to the guy that comes to inspect (just looks around for 5 mins and leaves) and the electrician who after a year in half finally came and fixed the outside electrical that wasn’t done right. No one ever reached out but they keep calling me for a 30k rewire job they wanted, this quote wasn’t to replace the dry wall or paint just the wiring. I got several quotes after that for around 15 k. When I heard express was the company that installed the heater that exploded in WJ and killed that 15 yr old boy I got another company to come and look at my system, they told me I got ripped off and for the 27k plus I paid its criminal. The tape they even used isn’t code the gas connection isn’t code and the leaking from the replaced parts is hazardous to my family.

The electrician that came out last finial did the out side better and that is after having one come out several times before to do it right and each time they bullshitted me out of doing the job.

I will never refer anyone to them!! They still need to come fix the dangerous wiring job from replacing my electrical panel but I don’t trust them.

I will be looking into what my right are.

Last picture should have been first, this was when the roof was being done and they never secured the exit to the roof or even secured it from falling in the event there was an earth quake. The photos after are showing the way the gas was hooked up and out of code.

This is going to cost me so much money and that I am furious!!

Our water heater had been working sporadically for about a week, and Emilio came out today to take a look. He could see immediately that the heater was leaking and rusted and replaced it for us under warranty. While he was here, he also replaced several corroded fixtures in our pipes.

Emilio was incredibly knowledgeable, pleasant to work with, and efficient. He took great care to protect our home, laying down tarps and making sure everything was clean when he left. We’re so grateful for his professionalism and the peace of mind he provided. Highly recommend!

We had Emilio and Aaron come out to our home to help us get our wash room situated for our new front load washer and dryer. They were honest. Friendly and did a great job at our home. They made sure everything was done professionally. We will use them again.

I'm concerned about the ethics of this company. When I called to have our sink unclogged the operator said they would waive the quote fee, great.
When Joshua Christensen came to our house to give us the quote he told us it would be $900 to snake/pressure spray the pipes. We have several business's and know that this is a max $200-300 job. We ended up paying a handy man $150 to fix the clog. Be weary of their prices.

I had Brody out to service my furnace today, he was extremely professional and quick to look everything over. Really appreciate his time and expertise. Highly recommend.

Brody precisely detailed the location and type of vents on the main floor and provided a reasonable estimate for the vent cleaning service. Juan joined him during the cleaning process. They covered the flooring and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. I was amazed at the amount of dust and debris left in the vents after the recent remodel. I would recommend them and their service!

Aaron and Bryce did everything possible to accomplish the service i needed. They were clean and communicated well. A service valued 10+.

Most knowledgeable HVAC technician I’ve ever met. Explained everything as he was doing it. I learned a lot. Laid out all my options and answered every question i had.

Update…had 3 more HVAC techs come by to give quotes and independently check what the express services tech did. Turns out i have nothing wrong with my furnaces and the way that the tech was measuring carbon monoxide right at the exhaust vent was totally wrong. Apparently these are scare tactics to rush you into a replacement system. The quotes i got from the other companies were 2 to 3 times cheaper. Be careful getting a furnace replaced by these guys…i was convinced i was in good hands but not anymore.

Recently I had Express Home Services provide some electrical work in a home I’d purchased six months ago. The work I was interested in ranged from “challenging” to basic, but I also wanted someone to help me understand the electrical layout in the home and help me think through some possibilities. Great service! Luis Yambo is knowledgeable, efficient, and was a great help in fixing our bathroom leak. He also assisted in getting us in touch with the correct people to fix the flooring from the water damage. I would highly recommend this for any home services!
