From the beginning, Josh and Sean were very responsive. Josh and I spoke frequently through Facebook during the entire process. Once we decided to go with HK, Sean was on site and made sure we were happy with the product. Being first time home owners on a budget, they helped us through the process and when problems came up, they reassured us that they would do whatever it took to again, ensure we were happy. Very happy to have AC with the summer heat and would highly recommend HK!

Absolutely phenomenal service. They were professional and personable. They inspected and fixed our mystery HVAC problem in just a few hours and gave wonderful advice on what we should expect from our current system for the next couple years, and what costs we should start saving for. I appreciated the honesty and how accommodating they were.

HK Mechanical did phenomenal work on my basement HVAC system. Everything was beyond my expectations and they even taped up the vents for us so we didn't have to worry about it while we were finishing the rest of the basement. Would highly recommend!

These guys are the best! We had multiple issues with 3 different systems in our house over the course of a few weeks. They fixed them on a timely manner and were friendly and honest with everything that needed to be done. We had a great experience with Josh. He was incredibly knowledgeable about our complicated boiler system. He knew what he was looking at from the beginning and solved the issue we were having quickly, then gave a good tour and explanation of the system. He was on time and friendly. It really impressed me when he admitted he wasn't the specialist he'd recommend for another system in the house (not on the service request) and suggested a colleague. I'll be happy to have Josh back for repairs and maintenance.

Josh communicated very well. He set up my appointment for 3, and he called a little before 3 to say he was running early and would stop by if it worked with my schedule. I’ve never had a technician to that. Very impressive!!
He figured out the issue and helped me make an informed decision on a new thermostat. He stayed to help me set it up and made sure I was satisfied with the final product. He gave me his card and let me know how to contact him if anything comes up. I am nice and warm, and a very satisfied customer!

Awesome experience. Fit us in and got us handled a lot quicker then other places. Josh is great and really works his butt off for his customers. We will definitely be using him in the future to do our furnace.

Josh and Chris were at my home today installing a furnace. They were both considerate of my personal needs, and were very helpful and professional with their work and in their work ethic. Josh’s nature is to go beyond the call of duty in his approach to a problem. His pleasant personality is just icing on the cake!

I have worked with HKMechanical a couple of times. As always they are very friendly and hard working. I only needed my air conditioner checked out for the summer but they found an issue that would have turned into a real problem probably in the hottest part of the summer. The technician went and got the part and fixed it very quickly.
They are the best and highly recommended!!

After our water heater bit the dust on the Friday after the 4th of July, we contacted Josh with HK Mechanical and arranged for him to come out on a Saturday. Last Tuesday 6/25 our AC stopped working and was only blowing hot air. We started calling all the "big name" HVAC places in our area and with the heatwave they were all booked out really far. I called HK, and they were able to get us in during their afterhours schedule the same day. They offered to walk us through checking what they suspected the issue was (they were correct on the issue with just my description over the phone.) and to sell us the part to save money and to get it done sooner than our scheduled time.

We opted to wait and they were STILL able to get to our house within an hour and repair the issue super quickly!
I believe it was Josh and Mike who helped us, and they were both so kind, knowledgeable, and professional!

We will be definitely recommending HK to everyone, and using them for all our maintaince moving forward.

Trusted the good reviews and was not disappointed. Detailed bid for the work was submitted in advance with a very good price. Great communication and timely response. Were on time as scheduled, even messaging they were on their way for our piece of mind. Work was very high quality and completed timely. Were very respectful, clean & even offered interesting conversation. Sean & Beau were excellent professionals and Josh was excellent in handling the appointment setup & my questions. Refreshing to have honest hard-working guys you can rely on. They did this all coming out to Tooele in a snowstorm. I will definitely use them again!

We had HK Mechanical install a new furnace and ac system in our attic that wasn’t there before. They also replaced our old systems in the basement with new. I cannot express enough how great of a job they did! It was a huge job and Josh and Eric took care of everything! They are super personable and also trustworthy! It took them 2 weeks and I could trust them to work in our house with us not there. They made sure every detail was handled and it was all very professional. I will absolutely use them again and I will recommend them to everyone I know!

I can’t emphasize enough how positive my experience with HK Mechanical was! It’s always scary choosing someone new for repair/replacement work, but I truly feel I lucked out with this crew! I called several companies and not only did they have the most reasonable diagnostic fee, they were also able to come quickly. I knew within minutes of his arrival that Josh was very knowledgeable, experienced, and a straightforward guy. It didn’t take me long to feel like I truly had a friend helping me. He understood our circumstances and it was obvious he tried everything to make our furnace run smoothly, but it came to no surprise when our 22 year old furnace had to be replaced. My brother worked for years in the HVAC industry and was able to verify that everything Josh did and every step he took was exactly what needed to be done. When Josh discovered a potentially dangerous issue in our furnace, he reworked schedules to get his crew in as soon as possible. After calling around and checking with my brother’s friends still working in the industry, it was evident that HK was giving us a fair and reasonable price for the replacement. Their crew was efficient and cleaned up every trace of their work. We’re now warm and cozy and feel very well taken care of after what could have been a very stressful day! I will use them again in the future, should the need arise and recommend them over and over.

Our experience with HK Mechanical was disappointing, and I cannot recommend their services based on our interaction. Below is a summary of our experience:

Initial Issue and Diagnosis:
We initially sought help for our air conditioning system, which was not cooling our home effectively and ran continuously. After consulting with several companies, HK Mechanical diagnosed the issue as a unit too small for the size of our house and recommended replacing it entirely. They assured us that the new system would resolve our cooling issues.

Installation and Concerns:
We purchased and installed the expensive new unit near the end of summer, expressing concerns about what would happen if the issue persisted. HK Mechanical reassured us that the new unit would solve the problem and committed to addressing any further issues if they arose.

Post-Installation Issues:
Unfortunately, the new unit exhibited the same problems as the old one, running continuously and failing to cool the house effectively. I reached out to HK Mechanical with evidence, including pictures and text exchanges, to highlight the ongoing issues. The company initially suggested a cheaper fix, such as installing an attic fan, but failed to follow through on providing estimates or further assistance.

Follow-Up with Another Contractor:
We consulted another company (one of the original contractors we sought quotes from before hiring HK Mechanical), which confirmed that the size of the old unit was appropriate for our home and that replacing it was unnecessary. This company also resolved the issue that HK Mechanical had failed to address.

Customer Service Concerns:
HK Mechanical’s owner initially responded to my review but deleted their comments after I provided follow-up evidence of our text exchanges. The company failed to honor their promise to resolve the issue and attempted to deflect responsibility by blaming us for not keeping them informed, despite clear communication and evidence to the contrary.

Conclusion:
HK Mechanical sold us an expensive system under the promise of solving our cooling issues but failed to deliver on that promise. Their lack of follow-through, poor communication, and inability to diagnose and address the root problem demonstrate a lack of integrity and professionalism.

If you are considering contracting or using HK Mechanical, I would strongly advise seeking multiple opinions and thoroughly vetting their recommendations before committing to costly work.

Josh was very thorough, fixing the issue with my AC, very straight forward with the work he was doing. He also changed the batteries, on my thermostat, which I thought was great. Would recommend HK Mechanical, to anyone having an AC issue. Thanks Josh, you rock!!!
