Weston did an incredible job diagnosing the problem with our gas oven. He was so professional and not only identified the problem, he also ordered the necessary parts and explained everything he did throughout the process. My husband and I both love learning how things work so we really enjoyed working with him! Highly recommend!

Luke was our technician and he did a great job of diagnosing and fixing. The repair itself was fast and he came at the time he said he would be here. I would recommend to anyone!!

Beware of this company.. they do subpar work, overcharge and don’t take accountability for their mistakes.. the owner Drew does not return repeated phone calls or emails. They will hire anyone off the street.qualified or not.. a terrible experience. I was warned not to use them but all reputable companies were booked. I now know the reason they were so eager to get in my home.. I’m updating this in response to famous appliance reply.. your technician damaged my house and put a cream soda in my freezer and left it there to explode. I did send pictures of all the damage as well. You had me wait 2 weeks for your arts department to get a simple water pump. Your owner drew never returned my calls. The part that was installed has now failed 1 month later. I just bought a new machine (whirlpool) same model for the same 550& you charged me.. nice try to cover your poor service..

My ice maker had failed and the air damper was noisy in my KitchenAid refrigerator. Famous Appliance Service sent Jake Marriott to our house. He effectively took care of our issues. He was professional and easy to work with. The scheduling office made it all easy and I’m grateful for their help.

UPDATE:
I want to clarify a few points following the company’s response. I have been cooperative throughout this process and have adjusted my schedule multiple times, including accommodating after-hours visits. My concern has never been unwillingness to resolve the issue, but that the washer has not been restored to reliable, leak-free operation after paid service. I have no record or voicemail of a completed call on 12/24, and when I attempted to contact later that afternoon, I was informed I would need to wait until Friday morning.
This company has been to my home four times to date, and the washer is now less reliable than it was prior to service.
Prior to service, the washer did not leak during operation. After the inlet valve replacement — which involved acknowledged overtightening and visible thread damage — the washer developed intermittent leaks during normal use. Multiple follow-up visits, a second valve replacement, and new hoses have not fully resolved the issue.
I work weekday mornings and cannot reliably accommodate early-morning visits, and I should not be expected to take off work to accommodate repeated repair attempts for an issue introduced during service. I am not refusing service; I am communicating realistic scheduling limitations while trying to prevent ongoing water damage risk.
I remain open to a fair resolution, including a refund for the unsuccessful repair if the washer cannot be restored to consistent, reliable operation. I will update this review if the matter is resolved.
ORIGINAL:
Right around Halloween, I began noticing water leaking from the bottom of my washer after showering. This didn’t happen every time, and importantly, the washer itself never leaked while running. Since my main shower line is connected to the washer, I initially suspected a plumbing issue.
Over the course of about a month, I had three different plumbers come out, none of whom were able to identify a plumbing problem. They ultimately recommended I contact an appliance repair company.
On December 1, I called Famous Appliance Service, and Luke came out the same day. After evaluating the situation, he told me my washer’s inlet valve needed to be replaced and that this should resolve the issue. He ordered the part, which arrived about a week later.
The inlet valve was replaced on December 13. After taking a shower that same day, I came downstairs to find water spraying heavily from the hot water valve connection at the back of the washer—far more water than I had ever experienced before, and from a completely new location. I immediately shut off the water and called the company. Since it was the weekend, I left a message and followed up Monday morning.
I spoke with Drew, the owner, and after discussing the situation, Luke returned to my home on December 15 (after hours, which I appreciated). He replaced the hoses to rule them out, but the leak persisted. At that point, he concluded the replacement inlet valve must have been faulty and ordered another one. We scheduled a follow-up visit for December 23.
Today, December 23, Luke replaced the inlet valve for the second time. After testing, no leaks were observed. Before leaving, he showed me the valve from the December 13 repair and stated that he had overtightened it, which damaged the threads and caused the leak. I appreciated his honesty and understood that mistakes happen.
However, about an hour after he left, I took a shower and went downstairs to start a load of laundry—only to find another puddle of water on the floor, again dripping from the hot water valve connection on the back of the washer. This is now the third occurrence of water leaking from the hot water valve connection—an area that never leaked prior to the initial inlet valve repair.
While the original leak from the bottom of the washer does appear to be resolved, I now have a new and more significant issue that began only after the inlet valve repairs. I am currently waiting to this speak with the company again to determine how this will be addressed and resolved. -
We’ve used Famous Appliance Service a couple times and both were positive experiences. Response to our initial call this time was OK, and the time to order and then schedule install the part we needed was a couple days longer than expected, but nothing terribly inconvenient, and likely normal for this time of year when things are busy. Thanks to Jake M for his service today!

Jake did an excellent job diagnosing the issues with the appliances, was thorough in his explanation and performed the repairs promptly. I highly recommend Jake and will will definitely use Famous Appliance again!

Famous appliance service was amazing! Our fridge broke and we needed it fixed ASAP. They were the only company that could get a technician to us that day. Aaron S was super helpful. He was professional, friendly and efficient. They had everything fixed that day. We are so happy it worked out!

I have used Famous Appliance service several times and have been very satisfied with their prompt and reliable service. Luke was very polite and concerned with getting my oven up and working. A company and serviceman I can trust.

It’s so refreshing to have an honest, capable company get something done quickly. We made the mistake of using our home warranty to fix our dishwasher. They sent the worst appliance repair company and all they did was make the problem much worse. We cancelled that and looked up our own local company and came across Famous appliance. Aaron came and diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the parts that came sooner than expected and fixed the dishwasher, all within a week. Now we have peace of mind that we will not have further problems and have a good repair company in case of problems in the future. Highly recommend!

Just two days before Christmas, my gas oven stopped working. The technician who arrived to diagnose the issue highly recommended repairing the igniter on my 30-year-old unit rather than replacing it. Unfortunately, I feel I was taken advantage of; the technician's insistence that 'older is better' led me to invest in a repair that was likely not worth the cost given the age of the appliance

Updating my review to one star for now. I was out of town and ran my Asko dishwasher for its first load since the repair. Started beeping, same error not working. So after spending over $1000 (and waiting almost 3 weeks for the part to come in) to fix my dishwasher it’s still not working. I called them today and spoke to a lady who talked right over me then blamed me for it. At first pulled me up under a whole different person in Alpine because she didn’t hear my one syllable last name. Then couldn’t find my record at all because they still had my last name misspelled, even though I asked for it to be corrected twice. Ugh! They can’t get out of here for two more days. So almost a month later and spending this much money, it’s not fixed. I expect my dishwasher to be 100% operable. I’ll update this after Thursday. Thank God it’s under warranty and there’s no additional fees, but if this can’t be fixed, I’ll be disputing it on my credit card and filing a complaint.
Upon googling my initial error and talking to other appliance specialties, this is an issue with the float switch or a valve not with the diverter motor. That’s for leaks. He said I had a leak, but I’m beginning to think that I was taking advantage of. Not happy at all right now. They need to make this right otherwise I want my money back or I’ll seek an attorney. They can’t be doing this to people.
Excellent experience. The Service Tech, Aaron, was polite, professional, and friendly. He got me completely taken care of and my dishwasher is running again after he started it and ran a test run. Thank you so much. I would highly recommend Famous Appliance Service to anybody looking for appliance repair. -
Luke was great! He fixed my dishwasher quickly and explained everything in a really clear way. Super friendly, reliable, and easy to work with. I definitely recommend him!

The service provided by Jake M was great. He diagnosed the problem quickly and gave great advice as what to do.
The only reason for 4-star review was that I had to wait 10 days for a new compressor to come in on order. That's a long time to be without a refrigerator.
They tracked the order and had Jake M back to install the compressor the day after the part came in.
