Landscaping reviews in Orem, Utah

Large driveway expansion cracked right after install in October, to date they have been unresponsive. Very disappointed in their quality of work and service. After posting the review Zack called and sent someone by who told me “cement cracks.” They filled all three slabs that cracked with an epoxy, which shines in the sun and highlights the cracked cement (ugly). The whole experience was disappointing, day one the bobcat driver drove into my new iron fence, the curb cutter plugged into my outdoor outlet and blew my fuse, they cracked my lawn curb, and the drain pop-up they installed has not yet popped up. Use caution.

I’m an out of state apt owner. Alex and Zach made it easy on me to pour a pretty big driveway and the finished product looks high quality. Alex kept me up to date with pictures and videos. They didn’t get to pour the entire initially planned job but made up for it. Appreciate it guys.

5-Star Review for Utah Valley Landscaping

I had an outstanding experience with Utah Valley Landscaping. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and stayed within budget—something that’s becoming increasingly rare these days.

What truly impressed me was their work ethic and skill. They transformed my backyard, which was basically just a patch of weeds, into an incredible outdoor space I now love spending time in. The craftsmanship is top-notch, especially the team that replaced our rusted-out wooden stairs with a beautiful paver deck and staircase—it looks amazing and was clearly done by pros who know what they're doing.

Alex was fantastic—always available by phone and frequently on-site to make sure everything was going according to plan. His communication and attention to detail made the entire process smooth. Manuel also stood out with his deep knowledge and incredible work ethic. You can tell this is a team that takes pride in what they do.

Highly recommend Utah Valley Landscaping if you want high-quality work done right.

I highly recommend Utah Valley Landscaping. I hired them to replace my grass with xeriscaping, and they did an amazing job. Their work is high quality and it shows. My yard is beautiful. Alex was easy to work with and delivered on his promises. Everyone else associated with this job was great to work with as well. I could not be more pleased with my decision to hire Utah Valley Landscaping.

Adding to this review: I wanted some changes made and had several questions about my new landscaping. Not surprisingly, Alex and team promptly responded. They did an amazing job with the additional work and answered all of my questions. Again, I highly recommend Utah Valley Landscaping.

We had Utah Valley Landscaping, add cement to extend our driveway to the garage. It was an amazing experience from Alex to the cement crew. All were courteous, respectful, and helpful. I would hire UVL again. I highly recommend to anyone needing help.

I started with these guys last season (fall of 2024). They were fast and professional. In fact, they were faster than I expected. They communicated with me throughout the whole process. I had them lay quite a bit of concrete (about 3000 sq feet). They also tore out some old gone-to-weed yard, hauled away a ton (at least) of dirt and garbage that had piled up over the last decade, and totally changed the look and feel of my yard, both front and back. They put in an RV pad, extended my driveway, put in a footpath, new concrete steps, and a sidewalk along the side of the house. Alex, the salesperson I worked with, also suggested a few other improvements at a very reasonable price. Once they started the project, they included some smaller fixes without an extra charge. They fixed a couple places in my existing concrete without me asking them to. They found rock to match existing landscaping. Can't say enough good about them.

The weather changed towards the end of the project. All they had left to do was to lay down some new sod over the areas they had to pull up to complete the current job. I didn't want them to lay the sod down when the weather was too cold to water it, so asked them to come back next season. To be honest, I thought I wouldn't see them again. However, when the weather changed to allow the sod to be installed they came back and finished the job.

I will definitely use them for any other landscaping projects that are too big for me to do on my own.

A big shoutout to Alex, Manuel and Antonio.

I recently had my very tiny backyard, completely remodeled with pavers and artificial grass Along with beautifully designed areas for flowers. It is absolutely beautiful and I could not be happier. The fellows that did it were hard-working and got it done in record time. I could not believe all that they did to make it more beautiful than I even imagined. Hats Off to a great team of hard-working guys.

We could not be happier with how our yard turned out! Alex was delightful to work and strived to help us get the yard we wanted in a budget we could afford. Manuel and his crew made sure everything went smoothly and ensured we were included in decisions and aesthetics along the way to ensure everything looked perfect. Even though our project was smaller, they all ensured every detail was tended to. Highly recommend for any project!

I had an excellent experience working with Alex and his incredible team. Everyone was so hardworking and nice. The end product of landscaping from new irrigation, sod, cement and pavers helped to elevate the look of our home. All the neighbors and people who walk by comment on how amazing the yard and pavers look!

We had the best experience with these guys. Alex was always punctual, quick to respond, and made the quoting/planning/payment process seamless. UVL is priced extremely well and we felt that we got much more for our money than other places.
His crew lead, Manuel, and the rest of the guys did an incredible job on the landscaping itself. They were always on time and worked harder than anyone I'd seen in a long time. They were all very friendly and, even in the heat, got the job done quickly and correctly. Could not recommend this company, specifically Alex and Manuel, enough. Thank you!

We have absolutely loved our experience with Utah Valley Landscaping. They did a beautiful job on our yard. We gave them free rein on the design of our yard and we couldn't be happier with it. They even made us a really beautiful fire pit with pavers that is the highlight of our yard. Chris is the best. I would never work with anyone else again.

When we met with Alex to discuss our landscaping, he took the time to walk us through what we could expect to happen with our project. We knew we wanted hardscaping in our backyard and to improve the curb appeal of our front yard but we had no ideas about design, inspiration, or installation of our project. Alex was awesome! He and his team transformed our front and backyard into an oasis. From the built-in fire pit with seating area, trees and plants in the backyard to the new walkways, stairs, newly designed front plant area, we could never have dreamed our home could look this beautiful! Alex had a design concept that was second to none! Everyone was hardworking and professional every step of the process. From concept to execution, Alex kept us informed and involved in our project. I cannot say enough about how beautiful our landscaping has been transformed. It is more than we could have hoped for and developed on our own. Thank you Alex and team at Utah Valley Landscaping!

We had Utah Valley Landscaping pour a 11x13’ patio in our backyard so we could build a gazebo and have a “gathering” place for friends and family! They were prompt, professional and were very respectful with our yard to try and minimize any damage to our lawn as they were working. We are very happy with our results! Zack had great communication with us every step of the way which was very much appreciated! We will definitely use them again!

Alex and his team did an amazing job on our backyard retaining wall. There was an existing 100’ long timber retaining wall that was likely original to our house - maybe 40-50 years old. It was rotted and falling apart.

Alex’s crew built us an incredible block wall in place of it and my wife and I were ecstatic with the results. The crew worked extremely hard, showed up early/stayed late, and finished the entire project in ~5 days. We will be using Utah Valley Landscaping again when we redo our front yard retaining wall in the future. I can’t recommend them enough for their excellent
retaining wall work!!

Alex and his team did a wonderfu job with our backyard project. The price Alex gave me was a third of what other landscapers were offering. I was a little hesitant thinking of the old adage "you get what you pay for", but the results were so much better than what the other landscapers were offering. Alex conceived the layout concept, and we discussed what could be added or rearranged. During the installation he would be constantly checking in and tweaking the layout with me. That is one of the best parts, Alex was continuing to "evolve" the concept and the results came out much better in the end.
The crew was extremely hard working even in the rain and snow. They would wait out the storm and go right back to work. Even after the snow they would shovel out the area they were working on and get back at it.
The crew leader, Alfonzo, was always courteous and willing to answer questions. He would give me updates on the progress and kept me informed of what to expect that day.
Even though my project was a small one comparably, the quality of work and open communication was top-notch. Obviously, I would highly recommend them and advise anyone to present their ideas of what they want done and then let them help you tweak the concept. I think you will be pleased with the result.

Utah Valley Landscaping recently transformed our small backyard into a stunning space for us to enjoy. Despite the project’s modest size, their exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality were evident throughout the process. We are particularly delighted with the addition of the raised planter bed and the thoughtfully designed step, which have enhanced both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor space.

The team’s professionalism was commendable; they were knowledgeable, punctual, and consistently delivered outstanding results. Their ability to listen to our ideas and translate them into reality exceeded our expectations.

Based on our experience, we highly recommend Utah Valley Landscaping for any landscaping needs. Their dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction truly sets them apart.

I am totally in love with this company! They exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the rounded curbing, paver work for a bench, gorgeous flower bed with its own drip line, to the stones finishing off the project, I now own the yard of my dreams. Thank you Alex, Jacob, and everyone else who helped to create this beautiful piece of art.

We had a great experience working with Utah Valley Landscaping. The owner was responsive, personable, and worked with our budget. The crew was hard working and efficient. The estimate and time frames given were both extremely accurate. The install was this year in May. Now in September, everything still looks amazing. Thanks again.

Utah Valley Landscaping representatives came out immediately to look at my project (driveway and sidewalk). They gave me an estimate quickly. Chris and Alex were knowledgeable and professional. Project was finished quickly as soon as weather conditions allowed. When a problem arose, they came out to see what they could do to have their hard working team fix it. I was very pleased and I would recommend them for any concrete project anyone might have.

Utah Valley Landscaping, Alex, Manuel and his crew were fantastic! Transformed our backyard beautifully! They were professional, neat, paid attention to detail and always made sure we were happy with placement of trees/mulch/plants, pavers, etc. They really brought our vision to life and were easy to work with. Alex was very responsive — it never felt like I couldn’t get a hold of someone regarding scheduling, trees, or changes to our plan. I would 10/10 HIGHLY recommend Utah Valley Landscaping and would 100% use them again. Thank you again, UVL, we love our yard!

This past September (2024), Utah Valley Landscaping installed a beautiful and super-functional paver patio, walkway, border for a backyard grass area and paver borders along each side of the driveway. They were easy to work with and the crew did a fantastic job on the install. The attention to detail far surpassed my expectations. The steps from the sliding door and the fire pit is just what we wanted. The paver walkway along the side of the house from the driveway to the backyard is also just what we wanted and needed. I would highly recommend them. The workmanship and prompt construction and install were awesome. They worked with me to realize my design and layout ideas and wishes.
