They say they are certified arborists on their website, yet they top and shape trees. Doing that will get your certification pulled. No way these guys are real arborists.

All the reviews are correct! These guys are skilled at what they do. I've used three different tree companies, and these guys are in the top with the good ones.

I called them for a full days work... they did great and gave a very reasonable rate for 6 guys on the job... I had to call them again because the house was covered in over grown, dangerous trees... they got rid of everything that could possibly fall on my house now... definitely recommend hiring these guys...

Very unprofessional. Butchered one tree to the point that they killed it. Other hardly touched and has since lost two branches causing damage. The third was still being worked on when the guy was told to stop because the others wanted to leave even after he said he wasn't finished. Left cigarette butts and empty water bottles around my yard even though a garbage and butt can were pointed out to them.

These Guy are the bomb! They came out when they said they would with the rain coming down, jumped in and got the job done. Did and excellent job and cleaned up the whole yard. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys for any type of tree removal.I have had other companies do work for me but never got such treatment as I did with Doug's.If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Excellent job! Doug and his crew did great work taking down two large trees with limited access, as well as a few smaller trees. Very pleased with the job and end result. Crew was friendly, efficient, and professional.

This appears to be a good company. However, when the red company GMC truck (with the Doug’s Tree Service logo and phone number pull into your private property labeled home and three hikers emerge at 6:30 AM—and yes, it’s all on video, even the effort to avoid the cameras and bypass security gate. You’re not getting my business and I have a lot of trees. Wonder if you’ve this has happened to others.

Wow! Doug's tree service was impeccable. My 70 foot blue spruce blew over in a recent Wasatch front severe wind storm. Doug quoted me a price and stuck to it. His team was very professional, efficient and punctual. They answered all my questions respectfully. The quality of their work was beyond reproach. They do it right the first time. I wish more home business services did the same.

I have used Doug’s Tree Service for many years. Most recently, his crew removed a very large cedar tree with multiple plantings around it. There was no damage to the surrounding trees and shrubs. His crew is punctual, friendly, and very willing to work with a customer. They left my yard spotlessly clean. Their prices are reasonable. They have always been very dependable.

Doug was a prompt and good communicator over the phone. Estimate/bid performed the next day. Arrived when they said they would on the agreed upon date. Tree was cut down, stump was ground, and everything was cleaned up in 2.5 hours. Friendly workers. Excellent work!

My neighbor hired Doug to remove a tree next to my yard. My neighbor advised me that Doug's Tree Service may need to come into my yard to access to tree being removed. On the day to tree was removed, Doug's Tree Service did not get permission written or verbal to enter my yard. They also drug the tree branches through my yard damaging and dragging three ground lights. One light was hard wired and was ripped out of the ground. When we found the damage we couldn't figure out what happened until I reviewed my cameras. I contacted Doug and he acted like he didn't do anything. He did send an employee who admitted fault and admitted to trespassing on my property, and said they would make it right. A few days passed with no response. I called Doug again and he said I lied to him. He finally agreed to pay $200 which he dropped off at my house. After I was able to start working on the light I found it was damaged beyond repair and had to buy a new one and have it installed. I am now more that $500 into repairing/replacing Doug's damage to my property. This company is unethical and dishonest.

My neighbor hired Doug's tree service in August 2023 to remove a large tree. Doug asked for access into my driveway with a bucket truck because power lines on neighbor's side blocked their driveway. I gave access, however, restricted where they could park the truck, as my yard/driveway is very small.
A short while later, I checked on my front yard and found that they disregarded my instructions on where I agreed the truck could go, and they then had mechanical issues. The truck blew a hydraulic line which caused A LOT of fluid to pour onto my drive and stones/yard. I realize accidents happen, and told the employees of Doug's tree this and said make sure to clean up the mess you made. They used absorbent and degreaser for several hours to try to clean. The truck was moved onto the street and continued to drain hydraulic fluid as they worked on the truck for a lot of the day. At one point, the workers gave up cleaning and told me they got 80% of the oil out of my driveway/stones. I reminded the workers cleaning up the mess that they needed to clean up the mess in the street too. At the end of the day, 5pm, when everyone left, I observed that they got maybe 40-50% of the oil out of my driveway and did not do anything for the mess on the street in front. Very unprofessional.
Next day, I contacted the neighbor who hired Doug's and he called Doug and got the response that they had done all they could do to clean up the mess.
My thought was "no good deed goes unpunished"- I allowed the tree service and my neighbor to access the tree from my yard, so their jobs could be possible/easier. It reminds me to not pay for hired work in full before a job is completed, get more than one bid (even if it is a good price) and find a company that will take responsibility for their actions. Doug's Tree service is not a company I would consider in the future.
