Since 2019 our family have completed five projects with YSS (four solar-panel installations and one whole-house backup battery system). In each case, the work was performed by qualified personnel and was completed successfully and painlessly. This was especially impressive when one panel installation was completed in Texas, some 1300 miles distant from the YSS facility.
We had a whole-house battery support system installed in April 2021. We didn't think much about it until the morning of 2 May, when we learned (on our neighborhood Facebook page) that our neighborhood had been without electrical power for TEN HOURS. Our house had not been affected. That YSS installation decision was justified at that moment.
UPDATE 3 August 2021: A power outage in our neighborhood for a few hours that did not affect us at all - thanks to the YSS whole-house backup system. Once again we are grateful for this installation.

I am a local contractor and Your Solar Shop has been so helpful. No pressure sales, great customer service and excellent workmanship with peace of mind warranties. Thank you for having integrity and working so hard to for your customers.

System is not covering my power bill like I was told it would. Overall the experience with Your Solar Shop was pretty good, with the exception that they told me that I would get the value back from Dixie Power that I put in the system. It turns out that, that is going away. Things just weren't moving so I had to keep on the city and power company to get the permits pushed along. During the first few weeks 4 panels weren't even producing and had to be reconfigured. My biggest concern though is, when someone buys solar and tells the solar company that they want the solar system to be large enough to cover the general electric bill, then the system produces less than half of what is regularly used and ends up just costing more each month in total power cost.

Your Solar Shop has been great to work with. Nate Duke and their entire staff have been professional and have consistently provided a personalized service with no high pressure sales. We received three Solar quotes. The other two companies pushed for installing two battery backups. USS recommended waiting 2-3 years since the prices are decreasing and the technology is rapidly improving. They seemed far more honest and upfront through the entire sales process.

For us, putting in 7.44 KW solar power was a no-brainer. Watching the daily, weekly and monthly production through SolarEdge has been great. But even better, is seeing a monthly bill from Rocky Mountain Power that stays between $8-$10 each month.

If you are considering "going solar," I would highly recommend Your Solar Shop.... I doubt you could find a better company to work with.

We had 47 solar panels installed on our home and we had a great experience with Your Solar Shop. Isaac helped us understand the whole process and addressed all of our concerns. He was always there to answer any questions we had. The install was a breeze and now we spend much less per month. Would definitely recommend.

I had looked at a solar solution for my Draper home for about 3 years, when I came across YourSolarShop via Neil Ely (he was quoting a job at our family farm down in St George area). Neil did a great job working with me and providing the options that worked best for my situation. He was able to provide a solution at a lower cost per watt than at least 4 other quotes I had received. The installation was fairly smooth (certainly fewer issues than my last remodel), with some issues that were out of their control (like having to replace my main service panel - but they worked with me and subsidized that cost). Truly personal service and no high pressure sales. They also changed my install over to microinverters which were more expensive for them, but a better solution for my needs without any additional charge. Enjoying the solar at our main home and at our farm house and loving the lower (almost nil) power bills! Certainly recommend this company without reservation.

DO NOT USE “YOUR SOLAR SHOP” (New update at the end)

I signed my agreement with “Your Solar Shop” on December 29, 2020. In the agreement it states clearly that the process would take at most 8 to 12 weeks. I was also promised multiple times that once the installation was started it would be a 2-3 day process until they were done and our system was operational. I was repeatedly told that the permits usually take about two months at most. I constantly reached out to “Your Solar Shop” to find out the time frame I was on with them. They were terrible about responding to me. The initial salesman (Isaac) was great but no one else in the company ever would call me back. Unfortunately Isaac quit the company and so I had very little contact. I was also told that “Your Solar Shop” did their own work and did not use sub-contractors.

Finally in LATE March a sub-contractor from Boise Idaho (three hours from where I live in Pocatello) came and did “some installation work.” They were here for a day and a half and then went back to Boise. I did not see them again for another 2-1/2 weeks at which time they finished most all of the installation. However, the contractor told me he needed one other part and needed the final permit to finish. Interestingly, I was told that they could not even start without all permits. Well, here it is the second week in May, almost 5-months from the time I signed my contract and I still have NO solar power. I call “Your Solar Shop” a couple times a week and rarely ever does anyone help. I just get the message…”oh we are almost done.” The company continually blames the delays on others. I was told the County was holding up our permits so I called the county and found that the address the county had and the address “Your Solar Shop” had were different. I got that fixed and was told by Josh (one of the owners of Your Solar Shop) that they now could get things done. When nothing happened I called again and then was told they were waiting on the State of Idaho to approve things. Remember…they told me earlier that they could not even begin without all permits and approval.

My system is NOT some small inexpensive system. It is meant to run our 4000 sq. ft. home, two large shops and a two-bedroom apartment. It a very costly venture and I have paid the company over 25K yet still have nothing working. In short, do not choose this company. I do not know if I will every get my system done and if I do I am worried about warranties if future problems arise. The company does not communicate well with customers, does not keep promises, and does not follow through with good business practices.
NEW FOLLOW UP:
My system was finally finished and put into service around July 9, 2021. While it is working very effectively and I am happy with the energy production…there are many concerns with the company I chose. I had to call them numerous times to get things done. Most of the time it took 3 or more phone calls to get a response. The excuse I always got was that it was the State, City or County that was holding things up. While some of that may be true, I was always able to get a quick and positive response from these agencies when I contacted them myself…and I should not have to do this.

On a positive note “Your Solar Shop” did pay for three months of my power bills and that was helpful. However, it does not make up for the energy/solar credits I would have been getting if the system would have been installed sooner as promised. In addition, there was a huge miscommunication about how the solar credits work and how my system was installed. Thousands of dollars could have been saved for me if they would have installed my system a different way. I asked them to look into this and they promised me they would, but it has been over a month, two emails, three phone calls and three texts and still no one responds. So, in conclusion:

DO NOT USE “YOUR SOLAR SHOP.”

Update: 10/22/20 ... This problem has been resolved. The monitoring system is now working correctly and I am very happy with it. Thank ;you so much for taking care of the problem.

We had our solar panels installed in late March or early April. The contract says that Your Solar Shop will provide the monitoring system. We still do not have a working monitoring system. They now want an additional $150 to provide the working monitoring system. They also are not answering emails. It is hard to tell if the system they installed is working. I may only go by my electric bill each month. It has not went down. The first solar company we worked with fixed the problem within a week or two. Your Solar Shop said they would fix the problem then told me i would need to pay $150 to fix the problem. Very disappointed.

Great customer service and the team did a great job installing our system. It's great having a much lower power bill now.

I couldn't be more happier with this company, outstanding service, hand down one of the best companies in Utah, they install my solar system along with my powered batteries. Nate Duke is very knowledgeable about the system and he is hands on each project. If you are in the market for Solar system or Batteries system give them a call. CUBIX POWER 100% recommend.

After doing much research, both on Solar panel systems and companies that i wanted to work with, i decided on using Cubix Power. I evaluated over 6 different companies and ended up choosing Cubix based on them providing the best overall solution in terms of Product, Price, and Service/support. Equally important was how i was treated through the sales process, Josh was very honest, upfront, and helped me design the best system for my needs. I wasnt being just "Sold". My system is up and working, Cubix was great, and it is exciting to see the benefits of Solar!

We CANNOT recommend this company! Although the name has changed from Your Solar Shop to Cubix, it IS THE SAME. We had our system installed in Feb 2021. All they replaced were the panels themselves, and installed a new roof. Our panels have NEVER worked properly, even though our previous, older system did.
When they got tired of trying to figure things out, they ignored us and tried to shift the blame. We have had to hire an Attorney! When they FINALLY agreed to a settlement, they never paid! The settlement was to be used to hire another company to fix the system. (Just a side not, 2 companies who gave us bids stated the work was Very sloppy! Wires were left exposed on the roof!)
As of today, 9/10/2023, they have made no attempt to pay the settlement or to contact our Attorney! We have had to pay for repairs out of pocket, all the while paying our Solar loan AND a power bill of nearly $200 each month!
BEWARE! We also found out that they were not honest with our lender! Furthermore, the ONLY paperwork, waremtees or information we have, we received From Our Lender! This was supposed to have been provided when our job was completed...By The Solar Shop-Cubix!
They appear to be nice....BUT dont ever have a problem! You may be Stuck with.a Real MESS!

We recently had an issue with an install visit, and we were very unhappy with the result.

Once we explained what happened to Cubix and how we felt, they solved everything entirely.

Josh Duke, one of the owners, called me multiple times directly to resolve the situation and he was very empathetic to what occurred.

We were very pleased with the persistence and the patience that Cubix and Josh had with working with us, and not only did they solve the problem, they impressed us to the point where we will be working with this solar company for all our solar needs moving forward (our old installer no longer is in business, so it was nice to have Cubix pick us up and take good care of us).

We highly recommend Cubix due to their empathy and desire to help PEOPLE. They are doing great work.

Nate and his crew are amazing. Very honest and knowledgeable in all things solar, battery and even have done some electrical work for us. They are always very responsive and do what they say.

Update: It's April now and Cubix Power has done much better at communicating. Their installation team is competent and has done a great job and has done their best to resolve my concerns. I'll be calling them back for more work. Caleb is fantastic!

I started working with them in June of 2024, its nearly March of 2025 and still no panels. Permits have been in for 3 months. There have been issues with the contracts. Every time I actually get a hold of someone they either say they'll call me back soon (only to not) or that i should hear back from them within 2 weeks to only have me follow up 3-4 weeks later with the same they'll call me back. I'm incredibly disappointed.

Cubix Power does excellent work, is extremely professional and competent, and has been a tremendously valuable resource to me.

I work in the energy storage industry and have represented a few different battery brands. I work with a lot of companies who design and install systems and Cubix Power is among those who I would put at the very top of my "preferred companies to work with list". They stand behind their work and are constantly seeking better technology and means and method to bring greater value and quality to their customers. They also provide very valuable input and feedback to me as someone representing manufacturers of energy storage equipment.

Nate is a very good electrician. He has fixed my Brother in laws solar and battery system after it was installed wrong. He installed my system. Solar HomeGrid batteries and generator. He also installed my Dads system and in a few years of having these systems we have not had an issue. A true professional and I had him install my EV charger… So my EV charges from my Solar and Batteries.

The workers are are very good and helpful. I was very impressed!!

I had them come out and quote our job. They gave us an estimated start date and then would not call us back. They have been ducking our calls and giving us empty promises. I finally gave up and called another guy.

Electro Specialties is a fantastic company. We have hired them for various projects and they always do a great job. They are responsive, helpful, and capable!
