I found some who understood what I wanted and was able to deliver. Very experienced, knowledgeable, quality material with an excellent price. They did my screen porch with an attached deck. I love it, my neighbors love it and all my guest love it. Good communication through the project and upfront explanation of when each payment will be due. It really exceeded my expectation. I really don’t have enough words but I am so glad I went forward with this project and chose Fortress. A+

Fortress Construction LLC (Miguel and crew) built a screened in porch for us over the winter of 2023-2024. Our project was large and involved demolition of an existing two-level deck, and building a new deck/screened in porch. The porch had two rooms, one with a vaulted ceiling and one with a shed roof. The deck is uncovered and runs the rest of the width of our home.

We are very pleased with the results. The build took a few months due to the scope of the work and because it was winter with short, very cold days. The day-to-day crew was very knowledgeable, efficient, and the result of their work is a porch built with very high quality.

I am very happy with how my deck looks, better than what I was expecting. Miguel took his time to help me decide exactly what color combination I wanted. Everyone who worked on the deck was extremely nice. Though the deck took longer to finish than what I was initially told, I am still very happy with the final result. If you want a job well done and from trust worthy people, this is who I recommend.

We've included before and after photos to demonstrate what a difference the patio and deck have made for us. Our existing deck was over 25 years old and too big for the space. Animals and our dogs were constantly going under our sunroom and deck, and the area under the deck was a breeding ground for mosquitos. We had stopped going into the backyard with our dogs because it had become so unpleasant. I can't even begin to express how glad we are to have our backyard back! The dogs are thrilled too. We had a great experience with Fortress this summer. Miguel responded immediately to our inquiry and a thorough estimate with options was quickly prepared. Wilder and his crew started soon after because of an unexpected opening. They worked through June's extreme heat and finished under three weeks. Everyone was very professional and friendly. We are very pleased with our composite deck.

Miguel is very knowledgeable about decking materials, builds, accessories and even permit nuances for different counties. He was able to navigate our HOA process and get all the permits needed so we didn't have to.
His crew worked through the rain to get the deck ready for the various inspections and completed the deck sooner than we expected. They even came back afterwards to shore up some minor details that we felt were not to our liking.
Overall, good experience and nice people to work with.

Miguel, the owner, is attentive and communicative. The crews that worked on our screened in porch were extremely courteous, professional and clearly take pride in their work. One critical distinction between Fortress and other firms is the fact that the crews are all employees of the company and not just hired per job. This makes them all answerable to the owner and, ultimately the client. Quality of work is fantastic and I couldn't recommend them more.

From start to finish, he, the builder, and contractors were incredibly professional, patient, and thorough. The permitting process went smoothly at every stage. The price was extremely reasonable, especially for the size, and level of professionalism that was brought to the project.

Miguel was very generous with his time when answering every question I had, and never made me feel like I was being a bother, even when I nitpicked some details. He’s clearly very customer-focused and trustworthy. His attention to detail really stood out, especially in the planning phase. He provided clear, detailed drawings that laid everything out, and discussed all potential options so there were no surprises along the way.

We had a very good experience working with Miguel Nogales who owns Fortress Construction.
We first met Miguel back in 2012 (how time flies!) when he worked for Steadfast Construction.
At the time, he was the company contact for our screened in porch renovation and new sunroom build. It was such a pleasure working with Miguel that when I heard he had started his own company, I knew I wanted to use him on a renovation of our front porch.
His crew demolished our old porch and rebuilt a new one, following the excellent architectural drawings of Se Jun Lee, of SJL Architect, who is another gem. I had a few questions as we went through the process and it was always easy to reach Miguel. In addition, his paperwork was very thorough from the start, and all payments were promptly acknowledged during the process.
We are delighted with our new porch and have received several compliments on it.

Ken's company finished our basement. The completed work is amazing!
Ken has gathered a group of craftsmen who are artists. Their combined
work is so beautiful, that our formerly dreary basement is now integrated
seamlessly into our home. I cannot praise them enough for their skills.
The crown jewel is the new bathroom. It is a masterpiece of master craftsmen. Ken is a pleasure to work with, and the guys are skilled, polite,

I recently had the distinct pleasure of working with the team from Elite on an addition to my 115 year old house, which included a new kitchen and bedroom, as well as two bathroom remodels. Ken, Ana, Mike and the entire crew exceeded every expectation I had going into the process. The crew was clean and very respectful of my home. On the days that I was home to see, I was constantly amazed at how hard they all worked. Ana was wonderfully patient as I obsessed over finding the perfect backsplash tile; Ken provided sage advice on all aspects of the project; and Mike, the architect and structural engineer, deserves sainthood for his time commitment to the permitting process. I absolutely love the finished product. I can't thank the whole team enough for their work and I hope to find opportunities to work with them in the future!

Review for a complete basement renovation, including adding a laundry room and full bath. We previously used Ken and the team at Elite Contractors to build a closet and partition a bedroom after reviewing their stellar reviews on Angie’s List. We were so impressed with their work and value on that project that when it came time for complete reno of our basement, they were already at the top of our list. From start to finish, Ken and his team helped us plan and realize our vision for a new basement to accommodate our growing family. PROS: Ken was extremely responsive and accessible throughout the entire project (rather than being handed off to another member of the company), their pricing was fair, but more importantly, very transparent (read: no hidden fees), the Elite staff was always courteous and professional at our home, and they were able to give us good recommendations when we didn’t know exactly what we wanted, but also worked to accommodate our customizations when we did. CONS: They were not able to start as soon as we’d hoped given their other work. However, above all else, they came in ON BUDGET and ON TIME! Highly recommend!!

We had Elite build us a Sunroom Addition that had a lot of special order materials and unique challenges based on the particular configuration our space. Elite was very professional and did an excellent job on this project, especially their finishing work.

Elite worked with multiple vendors and installers to pull everything together for our space. While there were some bumps along the way, as is the case with every construction project, Elite made sure that any problems were addressed quickly and correctly making this one of the best contracting experiences we have had.

Our new space is better than we envisioned and has already provided countless hours of enjoyment for our family.
