Elite Contractors Services, Ken and Ana, just completed another fantastic job on a huge remodeling project for us. A few years ago, Elite remodeled one room in our basement and when we were ready for a much bigger project (kitchen and second story master bedroom additions) we knew exactly whom we wanted to work with. Both a few years back, and during this project, his team went above and beyond anything we could have expected and were dedicated to getting every detail perfect. Another reviewer has written that Ken has assembled a group of artisans and we could not agree more. Many of the workers were the same folks who had worked on our basement a few years ago; the fact that his people stick with the company for many years speaks volumes for Ken and Ana’s integrity. We felt that the whole crew treated us like family. Ken was on site daily to make sure we were completely happy with the progress and understood each of the steps in the process. Ken’s extensive experience was instrumental in transforming our remodeling plan from something great to something phenomenal. In particular, he made suggestions for our kitchen design that dramatically improved the useable space, flow, and functionality. His team works with expert efficiency, and they completed the project in a spectacularly short period of time, even considering the many hurdles imposed by the ongoing pandemic. We couldn’t have asked for anything more professional and courteous from a better group of people. To Ken and his team: Thank you so much! Very few people can say they enjoyed their remodeling experience but we did and it was bitter sweet when you guys finished our project because we feel like we’re saying goodbye to friends. We can't say enough about working with Ken and Elite Contractors. Not only were they reliable, on time every day and on budget, they did amazing work! We couldn't be happier with our basement remodel - they did an excellent job and made great recommendations. They also went above and beyond, showed up on time everyday and got the job done ahead of schedule - all while doing high quality work. We will definitely use them again when we remodel our bathrooms!

We had a great experience with Ken and his team on our Rosemont, Alexandria, expansion project. After sketching out what we wanted, we met with several contractors to request bids. Not only was Ken’s bid competitive, but he suggested several significant changes to the plans that we ended up incorporating into our design.

The entire design / build process was fast and efficient, and we are extremely pleased with finished product.

Throughout the construction, Ken was onsite daily and responsive to any issues that came up. It was clear that Ken has a wealth of experience in the field and enjoys what he does.

Ken and his team were great. I didn't worry about much. Everyday the team showed up on time like clockwork. Progress went as expected and communication was generally clear and concise. When issues arose it was easy to get hold of Ken or Ana. The project was big but it was completed in the time frame given. The workers cleaned up after everyday and our yard was kept as neat as possible during construction. I never felt like I was being taken for a ride especially given the trust one puts in a builder. Renovations are stressful but I think that this was as smooth and easy as it can be. The quality of the work was also really high and we feel confident that if there are any problems that it will be resolved quickly. Overall it was a great experience with an extremely professional company. They live up to their name.

We hired Elite Contractor Services to design, build and integrate a two story addition. Our main goal was to add a master bedroom with a brand new bathroom and walk-in closet and have a more open concept throughout the living area. The Elite team did a full renovation of our kitchen, and it's absolutely beautiful. Ken had communicated with us during the entire project about the timeline for completion, met with us if there was any issues (which were minimum). Ana has great expertise on designing the bathroom and kitchen. She was honest, gave great advice and was open minded during the entire process. Both Ken and Ana went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. We are very pleased with the finished product and couldn't have asked for a better contractor with which to work. We will definitely be using Elite Contractor Services in the future for any additional home renovations.

Ken and his team at Elite Contractors Services did a fantastic job building a mother-in-law suite on top of our existing garage (which was in much need of structural repair). We also added a dedicated spot for our car and workout room below. Ken handled everything from design to building, efficiently kept us on schedule, and adjusted based on our needs. This project also included running plumbing to the garage, which was no easy task. Ken was also very patient in assisting us with the DCRA permit process. We would highly recommend Elite Contractors Services and look forward to using them in the future!

Elite Contractors Services Inc did an excellent job updating the first floor in our home. Ken was always available to answer any and all questions we had throughout the project, as well as offer suggestions, whether by phone or when he stopped in throughout the days while the work was being done. Beyond Outstanding. I don’t often write reviews, but the quality of work done by Elite Contractors Services has been exceptional. To begin with this large remodel plus addition (1,700 sq feet) was completed on time and on budget, with quality that far exceeded my hopes (a rare event in my experience). Ken’s team converted a two-car garage into a master suite with bathroom and laundry room and built an addition with two offices, a recreation room and an oversize two car garage in four months. The work was completed so that the addition exactly matches the architecture of our mid-century modern house. The addition looks like it was always part of the original home’s construction – right down to the tiniest exterior and interior details. Neighbors walking by stopped to tell us how impressed they were with the speed and quality of work. Ken was able to do this because he has a dedicated crew of seven guys with a foreman who started the first day and worked steadily on our project every day till it was finished (no hopping around from job to job). From the concrete foundation to the final paint, trim, and finish the work, every step met the highest standards. Ken and his team are a dream to work with, and they went out of their way to respond to every one of our requests as the work progressed. They were so responsive that this is the first time I ever had a remodel completed with no punch list at the end. Thank you Ken.

Ana, Ken, and their entire crew were incredibly flexible, friendly, and competent. From design to execution to post-construction review and walk-through they exhibited personalized care, attention to detail, and a respectful and conscientious work ethic. Highly recommend!

I recently purchased a new home that had hardwoods downstairs and wall to wall carpeting upstairs, both of which would have done very poorly with my dog. And the bathroom was straight out of 1981: dark, cramped, not a good set up. I had used Ken and his team for a much more major renovation project in a different home last year and had a great experience so I contacted him again to look at new floors (LVP) and a full bathroom remodel.

I gave him my budget and my schedule (which was a little tight since I was trying to minimize the amount of time I needed to pay both rent and a mortgage). He looked it over, made great recommendations and then made it all happen on budget and early.

Unfortunately I didn’t think to take “before” pictures but the new bathroom is terrific—bright, spacious, and modern. The floors look great. And Ken and his guys did all of this in three weeks—with Christmas in the middle.

When I told friends that I had a contractor doing work for me on the new place before I moved in, they expressed surprise that I was able to find one. When I explained that I had worked with him before and had complete trust in him, the surprise increased. But Ken and his team met or exceeded every expectation I had, once again. (And Ana was great on helping to pick out tile for the bathroom).

Ken and his guys are honest, professional, thoughtful, careful, and they do high quality work. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I hired Elite Contractor Services to work on a bathroom. I've had some pretty bad experiences in the past with contractors, but this is the second time I've worked with Ken, and I'm a repeat customer for several reasons:
1. Ken is a fair and honest guy. I'm sure most homeowners know the way contractors do a good job of talking but don't have the follow through on the actual work.
2. Ken cares about doing things right. This project didn't require permits, but Ken won't take shortcuts just because inspections are inconvenient and take extra time - you want that in a contractor since it protects you down the line.
3. Ken wants 100% satisfaction and will come on site frequently to ensure things are done right and to the customer's expectations.
I tell everyone needing work done to give him a call. I love this bathroom, and I'm really grateful he was able to do this project too. You can tell the difference between this company and others - they set a high standard!

Ken and team did amazing work from start to finish and they listen to customer feedback and addressed all concerns and issues with us on a timely manner. The quality of the work was really great. We will use this company again and we strongly recommend other to consider to use them for any home addition or remodeling work.

Excellent, could not have gone better. The owner and his wife run the business and they are both hands-on people and love their work. Very good communication. They provide excellent workmanship and materials and they pay attention to detail. Great warranty service as well. They also provide excellent help with making choices on cabinets, lighting, counter-tops, tile, siding, etc. Spotless cleanup after the work. We remodeled one split level built in 1958 and did a 1400sqft addition. It was a massive project and we had a construction loan. It was delivered on-time and a little over-budget, mostly due to our own oversight and enhancements. For larger projects I recommend a contingency fund which saved us. For another project it was a 3 level townhouse that was completely remodeled, and new siding, new portico, new windows, doors, kitchen bathrooms, floors, everything. It was done on-time and on-budget. I recommend a detailed review of your contract items so that you include everything you expect. You will also need to spend some time on-site to make choices about electrical and plumbing locations, how doors will open, how cabinets will fit, as well as time in their office making choices for materials. You will not regret having Elite do your project.

If there were six stars, I would give them twice!!! This was our first large home improvement project and we had LOADS of questions. Ken met with us during the design phase of the project and explained options that allowed us to save money, but get everything we wanted in a high-end addition. Ken was also uber patient with this DIYer who wanted to be part of the build process and do less technical elements of the work. Lastly, Ken's crews were super courteous, clean, professional, and always prompt!

Today, we have a beautifully, functional addition to our kitchen and home. We consider Ken and his team personal friends and recommend them to everyone we know.

When we considered an addition, after one failed hire we looked around again to try to hire someone on a really tight time schedule and feeling a little burned. We realized once we met Ken that he and his company, Elite Contractors Services, were different. As we explained to him our requirements (building an addition above our carport), he listened to us and actually heard us. He saw the design we'd already paid another company to do and realized that it was completely wrong for us. He grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and on the spot drew a better layout on the fly that was not only a better use of space but also gave us much more of what we wanted.

When Elite’s estimate for the work came in, it was very competitive compared to the other estimates competing companies gave us. We lucked into a situation where our first choice was actually a great deal too. And once Elite started the job, they exceeded our expectations. They were efficient, always kind, very professional and really made an effort to make the construction as low of a disruption as possible.

On the planning side, Elite was with us every step of the way to offer advice, suggestions and even purchase bathroom fixtures for us. They even once met us at a tile store to walk through some options in person. Ana and Maria were thorough, helpful and never pressured us to make any decision before we were ready. Any large-scale construction involves having to make a ton of decisions, and we really appreciated and relied on their support during the project.

As for the construction itself, Ole and the team didn’t just do great work; they always met us with a smile, explained thoroughly when any problems came up and their suggested solutions for it, and also managed to finish the job much earlier than they’d projected and on budget. We ended up with a beautiful new bathroom, a great renovated bathroom, more storage and two brand new bedrooms in an amazingly short amount of time. And the addition from the outside actually looks like it fits the rest of the house too, which doesn't always happen.

So to quickly review, Elite performed the seemingly impossible task of delivering a large-scale construction project on budget, ahead of schedule AND without ever making us feel rushed while accommodating every special request that we had for them. If that isn’t Elite, I don’t know what it is.

We want to thank everyone at Elite for everything they did to turn a drawing that Ken drew up on the fly into a much more functional house for us in an incredibly short period of time. (And sure enough, the house ended up looking just like the original drawing too.)

We’re happy to give them 5 stars, and to tell anyone considering them to use them with full confidence.

After seeing the work Elite Contracting Services did with my best friends home (a total remodel and new construction), and getting estimates from 3 other local contractors, we decided to use Elite to remodel our entire home... great decision. We love our new home and learned so much in the process. We had very little time, average budget, and needed lots of help to pull this off.

With very little advance planning and even shorter notice, Elite helped us take my 1954 childhood home into 2021 for future generations to come. Every inch of the house was redone in some way, and we built a new addition for a primary suite.

No project goes without challenges. The key to success if finding someone you want to go through those challenges, and we believe Elite was the best fit for us. Always recommend taking the time to plan each room/project carefully. Details matter. Elite will help you get there. The team is friendly, skilled, and clean up well after each day on the job. We are very happy with our home!

Choosing a contractor was as difficult as it was frustrating in the beginning. Many places were unresponsive, too “busy” or would only take your project if you’d spend “X” dollars. I hated this process and thought it would never end, but that was until I came across Elite Contractors Services on Angies. Their gallery on Angies doesn’t speak to the true breadth and diversity of work he has done (I’ve told him, he needs to put more photos up, LOL - a little joke between him and I) but after working with him I understand why he hasn’t; he and his wife are busy responding to and making sure his customers are happy. We met Ken soon after engaging him. He is a very pleasant man with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the construction industry, and although he loves to have a good laugh he’s also a straight shooter, which I greatly appreciate. To have a General Contractor be as responsive and interested in your project was a breath of fresh air; even better was that he continued this responsiveness throughout the entire project!

Once we had a contract established Ken put us in touch with his excellent Architect Ned. With his excellent eye for design and helpful suggestions, we were very pleased with our final design and couldn't be happier. We were ready and so was Ken. Some preliminary engineering checks were performed on our foundation and it was discovered that we didn’t have sufficient footers to support a second-story. Ken gave us the options we had and so we moved ahead with the additional scope of underpinning our foundation and lowering our basement by two feet since the slab would be destroyed.

It was January 2022 at this point and even with supply chain constraints (especially with wood), COVID and inflation craziness Ken as he was somehow ahead of the curve and prepared enough with our project to be able to provide us with a 6 month estimate for everything to complete (July timeframe). I was skeptical to say the least and especially anxious because I had a construction loan with an interest rate lock banking on this man’s estimate.

The underpinning was completed in two months as promised, all done by hand, insane!! The second story began and we were able to meet the entire Elite Contractors Service’s family! The workers Ken employs are all amazing people and excellent professionals who work exceedingly hard and put their heart and souls into their craft. They were also so efficient, they ripped off our old roof, and put up the new roof within a week. and even though they didn’t have to during those few days in between, they placed a huge tarp over our place to protect our home. I felt they treated our home as if it was their own home. In comparison, a house down the street from us was roof-less for a month before they got their materials in to build; meaning it was exposed to the weather and elements. During the project I was introduced to Ana Blanco, Ken’s better half who helped us with expenses, material purchasing such as tile, vanities, fixtures, lighting etc. She was super sweet, helpful and made that process straightforward and worry-free. When the finishing touches were ready to be made, Ken’s team were once again so helpful. They would ensure every detail was accounted for, especially specifics, such as mirror, light heights, or the placement of vanities for example. They painted and touched up spaces part of renovation, but also spaces that were affected indirectly by construction, and of course corrected any issues you had immediately. Ken called this his “Elite Treatment”, and Elite it was!

My wife and I put our faith in Ken wholeheartedly, and we are glad we did, even with a few ordering issues and special orders he and his team were still able to hit the promised 6 month mark almost perfectly! I think Ken’s new nickname ought to be the “Magic Man.” We feel blessed to have Ken and his team on the job for home renovation, because not only did we make our home beautiful we were able to make a few friends along the way.
