Thomas and his team at Heart of Wood did an excellent job removing some dead trees along with trimming and maintaining others. The workers were efficient and respectful of the property, cleaning up after the job was done. Heart of Wood's prices were also reasonable. I'll use them again. Highly recommend.

Thomas and his team was recommended by my neighbor. I was impressed how quickly Thomas returned my call and how promptly he provided a thorough and fairly priced quote. Their work was efficiently done and of high quality. His team went above and beyond by removing a previously cut stump and tree trunk on my property that was not part of the quote. Looking forward to having The Heart of Wood Tree Service do any future work I’ll need done.

There are a lot of tree services in the Alexandria area—I’ve spoken to several. Some are excellent but come with high price tags. They were referred to me by a neighbor and I hope this review helps others like me looking for a reliable, fairly priced option.

Heart of Wood pruned three trees and removed two for me today. Thomas, the owner, came out earlier in the week to provide an estimate. He was professional, honest, and clear in his communication. I really appreciated that he listened to my needs, didn’t try to upsell, and even gave advice on smaller tasks I could handle myself.

His quote was surprisingly affordable, especially compared to others I received—including the kind of too good to be true prices (because they are) you hear from door-to-door tree crews (yes I’m guilty of biting on this one once) . Thomas lives by the motto: “Do it once and do it right,” and I’d add: “…at a reasonable price.” Heart of Wood delivered on both.

I can’t believe how amazing this company was. They came to visit to provide an estimate almost immediately. Then they texted the years of service of each of the people that would be working on our tree. They also noticed that we had another sick little tree and offered to fix it for free as they removed our dead giant oak tree. They were fast and the cleanup was the best I’ve ever seen. I collected four quotes for this job and I’m so happy I went with Heart Of Wood!!!!

Great service! Our Japanese maple was looking like a wild child, with lopsided growth and long leggy branches. Heart of Wood pruned it up beautifully.

Even though it was a small job,the owner got back to me and came out to assess it and give me a quote. His guy Oscar came and pruned it a few days later and now it looks balanced. Thank you!

Thomas gave a quick and reasonable quote and provided very helpful info on the trees at our new home and even some tips on work we could do ourselves if we wanted. Communication was easy and done via text. Crew did a great job and work was completed as expected.

Thomas and his gentlemen workers provided a superb experience taking down my 30ft Mulberry Tree as well as stump & root removal. During the estimate appointment, Thomas was incredibly detailed on options with a very fair estimate and he provided advice on a replacement tree (Crape Myrtle). His gentlemen were efficient, very neat about the work area, super friendly and even reset my paving stones. It is like there was never a tree in the first place. You will not be disappointed if you select them!

Our Community needed to address some very large trees at the rear of our property. There is no real easy access due to location. We collected (4) quotes and were given different options from each one.
Out of the (4) Heart of Wood came in with the overall best price and the best options. I met with Thomas and immediately knew I was working with someone that knew what they were doing. He looked over the trees and recommended we remove (2) and just trim one up. He was straight forward on our options. He provided several based on what we wanted to spend on the project. His company offered tree removing with no heavy equipment and no disturbance to the property which was exactly what we were looking for this in this project.
Thomas had his crew on-site within a week after we made our decision (even with the Thanksgiving holiday). His Crew was amazing, if not for the sounds of chain-saws I would not have even known they were cutting down huge trees with branches extending everywhere. I really cannot describe the stress that we had over this project as the trees were huge and in a precarious spot leaning towards a neighboring community.
Thomas from start to finish worked with me via phone, email, and on-site visits. His guys were absolutely amazing to watch as they safely & quickly removed our problems. They did a great job cleaning up and the area looks better than when they started. I could not be more happy with the work they did. Our stress is gone and at a price & option that we can live with, I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Heart of Wood.
Definitely will be who we work with for any future tree issues.

Bright Bins is amazing. My bins are stored under the front steps, and you can imagine how stinky that could get. Because of bright bins, my bins are clean and odor free all year! And I don’t have an ick when I touch them!

This company has been really great to work with! Our HOA changed the trash delivery dates and they reached out to me to ask about rescheduling our cleaning dates because a neighbor had called with the new trash delivery information. I feel like they are on top of their game!

First, I never write reviews. However, my neighbors in Arlington and I had a hard time getting rid of rats and racoons. My son suggested Bright Bins and no more racoons, and rats. Plus, it is so much cheaper and safer than exterminators.

These guys did an awesome job. Bins have not been this clean since they were new. Best thing....is the bins smell clean even after a few days. Great job and I would highly recommend.

I love when Bright Bins comes and cleans my bins. It is such a treat to take the trash out and not be overwhelmed by the lingering scents. They always come on time and are great to work with.

Yesterday we left without putting the bins out clearly and had already put some garbage in the bin. When the crew arrived they not only cleaned the visible bins but grabbed the other bin, removed the trash that had been disturbed by our neighborhood racoon and re-bagged it so they could clean the bin.

Been using Bright Bins for about a year now. So glad for it. We store our 3 cans in the garage and what a change they've made. The cans are sparkly clean and smell great (who says that about garbage cans?).
