This is the best rated landscaping company (I used them for snow removal), they have modern technology and new machinery to get the job done on site immediately same-day service, which is extraordinary just like Mom and Pop shops, everyone is professional and understanding to their clients needs.

Nova quickly replied to my request for snow and ice removal. They sent a good guy with a plow who did a great job. The ice was scraped off down to the cement.

Tony and his team were professional, flexible, and dependable throughout the entire project. Overall I am very happy the way the project turned out and highly recommend this company. As with most construction projects things never go as planned but Tony was always willing to find a solution and at a reasonable cost.

I contacted Northern VA Grounds (NoVa Grounds) with the need to sod the front and backyard of my townhouse as I am preparing to sell (approximately 460 sq. ft.). When contacting various other landscaping companies, many were interested but with the busy time they could not schedule me in though they all understood it was a small job. Tony, the owner of NoVa Grounds however, was willing to work with me. We managed the quote and all items via text by proving the square footage and pictures to facilitate processing the quote and service, this was a good use of both our times since it didn’t require me to have to leave work for a visit, and then again when the work was being performed. The price was competitive and we quickly executed the contract via email. Tony was able to squeeze in my project in between his other jobs and managed to complete all the work timely and beautifully, being mindful of the temperature and conditions for sodding the lawn correctly. He and his crew were very polite, professional, efficient, responsive and helpful in taking care of sodding the home and providing the instructions to maintain it. I highly recommend working with NoVa Grounds. Before your next landscaping project or need, would encourage you to obtain quotes from various companies, but one of them has to be from NoVa Grounds.

Tony and Kevin did a great job on our walkways. Made it significantly easier for mom to get around in the yard. I especially liked the integration of the walkways into the firepit/patio area and the paver edging that tied it all together.

I called Northern Virginia Grounds because I needed retaining walls and a riverrock bed placed around a sports court for a sloped area of my backyard I was worried about erosion and drainage and Northern Virginia had great reviews. I spoke with Tony Drosos, the owner and he came over within a day to look at the project and draw up some ideas and estimates. When we decided to move forward with the project, sensing my urgency he got a crew to start the next day.

These two guys that came over would start at 7:45Am in the morning and stay until maybe 6:00PM or so. They would not leave until the finished the section that they wanted to complete for that day and a few times I felt so bad I told them they did not need to stay any longer and come back tomorrow. That is how dedicated they were. Let me say that this was the week at the end of July where we were hitting 100F every day. They came in one Saturday and I had to convince them NOT to come in on Sunday. The put in 2 stone walls and covered it with a beautiful stone veneer with each stone cut and placed by hand. They took their time and the walls look great. Truly high level craftsmanship and Tony came every day to check on progress and see if anything was needed.

At the end Tony even helped me with a good deal on mulch to cover around areas they finished working on. Great 2 man crew that worked long hours to get the job done without asking and finished product looks great. Highly recommend and will use again for future projects.

Tony and his team did an outstanding job. They were very professional and paid attention to deal. Tony was very responsive and got the job done quickly and beautifully. I went from having an unusable patio to a beautiful patio. I had heard stories about what happens when you get a bad contractor so I was nervous. Tony and his team made this reno easy.

Tony and his hand working crew did a great job on our new pool and patio. We are very pleased with how everything turned out. He ordered materials in advance and we avoided long delays despite shortages. Quality and responsiveness were top notch. Definitely recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about Tony and his crew. They completely turned our aging back patio from pavers to stone replacing walls and installing a massive fireplace. They have a high quality of craftsmanship as well as being on time and on budget for even large projects like ours. If you are looking to replace any landscaping, call Tony!

After contacting numerous landscaping/hardscaping/drainage companies I found Northern Virginia Grounds. Thank goodness! Tony and his workers were able to handle all of our concerns! Our initial request/concerns were regarding drainage issues and a new walk in our front yard. The job was going well so we immediately signed Tony on to address the drainage issues in our backyard. Along with adding/routing drainage to the appropriate areas we replaced a huge cement pad under our raised deck (which was a complete eyesore) and a crumbling brick retaining wall/brick facade to the cement pad, which was deteriorating as well. All the (failing and very old) hardscaping played into the drainage issues and we knew it needed to be addressed. Everything was looking great. We couldn't stop there, so we went back up to the front yard and redid the old brick stoop as well as removed old railroad ties and replaced those with stacked stone. Everything looks AMAZING!! We've had a few neighbors comment on the changes out front and how great it looks. Tony was always available during my project. He stopped by everyday to check the status of the job. And he didn't run off. He stayed and talked, explaining next steps, answering my questions, suggesting other options. I was always able to reach him with any concerns or questions. I really appreciated him calling after we had finished a drainage job and he saw rain. He wanted to know how the fix was working, to take photos, and a video so he could see. I really appreciated that concern and reaching out to me to suggest that!! I would definitely recommend Northern Virginia Grounds! In fact, if I get my way he'll be back to work on some overgrown beds.

We hired Tony to replace our lawn, which was a mess due to the underlying soil containing rocks and construction debris. He knew that a beautiful lawn would require a lot of effort to remove the debris, add new topsoil, and install the sod. Tony's guys worked in the sweltering heat of Summer to literally leave no stone unturned...unfortunately, the heatwave and lack of rain worked against us, and the grass initially wasn't doing well. Tony proactively communicated with us, and worked to make sure we got green grass in the end ("like a golf course", as he says.

Northern VA Grounds also put a bunch of new shrubs and relocated existing bushes to the side of the house - they look great and add a nice splash of color. installed a stone retaining wall that matched our existing patio perfectly, with some nice flowers and plants in the back. When some of the flowers died due to the heat, Tony replaced them without hesitation. While our job had some complicating factors, I definitely recommend Tony if you want someone who will stay the course and not rest until you're satisfied.

Needed somebody to plow/shovel my icy driveway and they came through, within an hour of me calling. Job was done extremely well, and they were a pleasure to interact with.

If you’re looking somebody to get a job done promptly and thoroughly, I would recommend them 10 out of 10.

Needed 6" snow/ice removed from my 2 car driveway built up after the big snow as well as the path sround the side leading to the fromt door. I called in the sfternoon and they came that very same evening, clearing the ice and snow and leaving the driveway and the path completely free of snow within an hour. An amazing job at an extremely fair price. Terrific service from the initial call until the snow removal crew left. I highly recommend Nova Landscape Construction. Based on the service I received, i'm sure all of their service offerings are excellent.

Great experience. They came out the same day and helped plow our driveway with ice present. The team was quick, communicative, and very easy to work with. We really appreciated the fast response and would definitely use them again.

Simply stated, Tony and his crew delivered an aesthetic masterpiece combined with an abundance of professionalism! A worthwhile investment! Their phenomenal attention to detail is unmatched; not only did the outcome exceed expectations, “The Oasis” complements the decorative allure of the home masterfully and invigorates the property as a whole. The experience was a 6 on a 5-Star scale! If you have a vision, NOVA-LC has what it takes to usher the concept to reality, and if you need help conceptualizing, they can/will patiently and strategically get you to the finish line.

I used NOVA Landscape Construction for a new patio install with a fire pit and hot tub. It wasn't a simple job because my property has quite a bit of grade and we also needed to dedicate a space to the jacuzzi (and all of its electrical work). I had two other estimates, while slightly cheaper, that didn't have plans for a concrete pad under the jacuzzi and didn't include retaining walls and lights. Tony also used quality materials that were thicker and higher-end than what the other guys were using. I realized quickly this was not as simple as slapping down some Home Depot pavers. I am so glad I went with Tony because that could have been a real nightmare as the ground settled with the grade we have and a heavy jacuzzi sitting on it. Tony also had a designer draw up the plan so I could see exactly what I'd be getting. We changed it a couple of times so it was really helpful to see it in 3D from different angles.

Most importantly, I can't say enough great things about Tony's guys. We had the same two guys who showed up each day at 7:30am and worked the whole day in nearly 100 degree weather. I have had other contractors for other projects not show up on some days (I guess to squeeze in some smaller jobs) or take 2+ hour lunches where I didn't know if they were coming back. These guys got the job done quickly while paying meticulous attention to detail. They spent quite a bit of time cleaning up after themselves and hosing everything off. We had a couple of issues come up due to the formation of my deck and grading of the property and they made sure before they did anything they spoke with me about what I wanted which I really appreciated.

It was a pleasure to work with Tony as he was always responsive to every question I asked. He came over multiple times to check on the project so I never got the feeling that he just took the money and ran while some guys I had never met or spoke to did all the work. Unfortunately, that is how a lot of these businesses work so that is why I wanted to take the time to write this review and give credit where credit is due. Tony is on top of everything, hires the right guys and treats them right, doesn't cut corners and uses quality products, and knows his stuff and is super responsive. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Northern Virginia Grounds. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and very detail oriented, so there was a very high threshold, but Tony and his team did a fantastic job on our hardscape project and far exceeded my expectations.

After much research and reading many reviews, I had 5 or 6 companies come out to discuss the project and get estimates. When I met Tony, he took the time to listen to all my thoughts and concerns, and he offered to bring me samples of different materials even before I agreed to go with his company. Tony did a great job with encouraging me to go with his company without being pushy. The estimate Tony gave me was fair, and after considering all of my options, I decided to go with him.

Tony has been excellent with communication, and would respond to me almost immediately if I had any questions. He met with me multiple times before starting the project, he brought out samples, and he invited me to see other projects that he had completed or was still in the process of completing.

I was originally only planning on replacing my front walkway, but I decided to trust Tony to fix up my entire back yard as well. I had a huge project because in addition to replacing all of my bricks with pavers, Tony said he could help with the drainage problem I had in my yard each time it rained. I would frequently have a small river flowing down my walkways and in the lower grassy parts of my yard. Tony’s team put in a French drain to help the water exit our yard underground. They also attached underground pipes to our downspouts so the water wouldn’t flow over our pavers. Tony used high-quality Techo-Bloc pavers so that the color would last, and he kept me in the loop each step of the way. I appreciated his crew’s attention to detail to make sure everything was done just right. Some people will cut corners, but not Tony’s team. They are very skilled, and did a quality job. They worked very hard each day (including some weekends), and they were always pleasant.

Tony was at our house almost every day to ensure that everything was being done to his high standards, and he came out in the rain to make sure that the drainage pipes were working. That is truly going above and beyond.

I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. If you are looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and reliable person to help with your hardscaping/landscaping needs, you won’t go wrong with Tony and Northern Virginia Grounds.

We selected NOVA Landscape and Construction for our pool's decking and retaining wall needs based on NOVA's great reputation and we were not disappointed.

First Tony worked with us on planning the project and we went through numerous revisions and each time with valuable feedback from Tony that proactively addressed many concerns.

Then during the construction phase Tony kept us up to date on progress and was always consistent and timely on the work being accomplished. We never ran into a situation where Tony's team disappeared for days or weeks to work on other projects we felt like we were a priority from start to finish.

The day after this past snow/ice storm, after my snowplow failed on me, I called every company in town that could dig me out with no success until I reached NoVa landscape construction. They were able to come to my house in two hours with the plow on truck and cleared my driveway in minutes!

We had a fantastic experience with NOVA Grounds!! Tony was great to work with and we loved that he was ON SITE for the job. It was awesome that he didn't just leave the work to his crew and come back when it was finished. He was very hands on, and it made for a phenominal finished product. The plants he brought were healthy and beautiful, and the walkway materials and construction were clean and professional. Highly recommend!!

Let me caveat my review with the fact that I am a local realtor. I deal with a lot of contractors, and refer out a lot of contractors to clients. Tony at NoVA Landscape Construction Is at the very top of that list. Our family spent the better part of a year working with his crew to transform our yard and pool area. At the end of that time, I can still say I’m thrilled that we went with Tony and his crew for this renovation. Not only because of the outcome of our space, but because of the communication that we received consistently through our work, and with the caliber of work I saw happen in my backyard!

Tony and his crew transformed our back yard pool area into a retreat. Our pool is about 40 years old. I don’t believe it had ever been resurfaced. We started there with Tony and his crew and as we talked about our vision for up there our design options grew. We opted to reconfigure the entire space around the pool, and Tony Was able to take our vision and make it happen! He was receptive to all of our requests, even the ones that were a little more difficult for him to fulfill like a very specific color of a crêpe myrtle tree for the landscaping, with a can-do attitude!
We now have a wood-burning fireplace, we ran a gas line to heat the pool and put in gas heaters for the pavilion area, added a fridge a grill, garbage and recycle bins , and a cooler box to easily access drinks. The space is truly an oasis for our family now. We do a lot of entertaining and everyone who has stopped by has been so impressed with the space.
We are beyond thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Tony and his team for any home improvement project you are considering!
