I called to complain about the driving abilities of this company... they show no regard for other vehicles on the road whilst pulling long vehicles .

They are terrible, broke my car window and refused to pay for it after telling me they would while directing me to safelite where the business of safelite say they did not do business for brightview so basically was ran around for damages they created

Live in a community that utilizes their services and have to say they may be one of the worst landscapers. It’s gone from a previous company which took one day, to them and they take two days to cut, trim and edge. Edging and trimming are done in no particular uniformity, one week they edge then they won’t the next week. Some bushes and small trees are maintained while others are completely ignored. Weeds everywhere on grass and coming through concrete driveways and sidewalks. Either bring in the right amount of people or cut your losses. I thought Chesapeake landscapers were bad. If you aren’t going to do the job right and with some sort of dignity why do it at all?
Property managers should be fired here for allowing this disaster to continue.

I live at Emerald Lake Apartment in Elizabeth city North Carolina. Because of the virus I’ve had little to do so I like to walk around in the evening. I’ve noticed lately that gardeners we’re getting here are terrible. Instead of blowing leaves onto the lawn , then mowing. They want unit the done.I noticed the bushes are overgrown and that leaves fill the gutters. The other thing I fine very distasteful, is the gardeners blowing leafs and trash down the storm drains. So I’m pretty sure that the property owner pays a premium for their service but it appears that we get leftovers instead of premium quality service.

I have been at Emerald Lake apartments . In Elizabeth city for a number of years.
I have noticed in the last two years that this company has gone from marginal too very poor.
They only cut the grass . They do not remove weeds. We have brushes that have grown pass second floor window and look like they have never been trimmed.

One day the maintenance man trimmed the trees in the middle of our park area and left the branches in piles by the trees. When Brightview arrived, instead of picking up branches and throwing them in there truck, they ran them over with there ride on
The apartment complex looks unkempt and run down. So if you looking for someone to cut your lawn, this the company. If you want more look elsewhere

Our HOA had such a disappointing experience with Bright View, especially with respect to irrigation system maintenance. They were so careless and charged us to fix the same things over and over.

If i could give a no stars i would. They shattered my passenger window on my vehicle weedeating in a rocky dirt filled area. I commend them for knocking and telling me but getting it fixed was a pain. Alot of run around and waiting. When it was finally done. I got multiple calls from safelite due to them not paying. I had to call to get them to pay to avoid collections..

We live in the Hickory Manor Community. Brightview is contracted to maintain the "limited common areas" which include the front lawns. The service provided to our community is extremely substandard. The large mowers used are not precise enough for the small yards and tight curves and corners which results in mulch being blown all over the yards by the mower and when the mowers turn around, the inside wheel pivots on the grass ripping it up and leaving a bald spot. The deck heights of the mowers are too low and scalp the lawns. When using trimmers, again, mulch is thrown everywhere. Plants in the flower beds are consistently damaged and sidewalks and driveways are not blown off adequately. The preventive maintenance of the flower beds, such as weeding, is also substandard and new mulch was placed over large existing weeds, that are now growing back up through the mulch. I do not recommend using the company to maintain your landscaping.

Also, if you are going to respond to this review, don't patronize me by cutting and pasting the same response you give to everyone. At least own it.

My HOA used this company. The worst service and and management one could expect. Bushes were not regularly trimmed; dead shrubs went without replacement; the supervisor had an attitude problem; and, the office never answers the phone to receive complaints. This company is the worst!

This company is the model for unprofessionalism and poor communications. A crew dispatched to my neighborhood had ran over debris ,launching it into the side of my car. Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to apologize the workers just said “ it be like that sometimes”. Even Molly burton , the site manager Sumed it up to a freak accident, taking no responsibility at all. She had took pictures of the damage and given me her contact info. I was told their company will make a claim So my car can get fixed.
Going on 2 weeks now and I havnt seen the crew return and I havnt been contacted by the site manager Or brightview.
I’ve attempted to call the office multiple
Times and it just goes to voicemail.
If you were considering employing this company for a job you had in mind .look elsewhere. I couldn’t imagine how this company would handle damage to a house.

BrightView is the best commercial landscaping company I have come across in the Hampton Roads area. Every time I turn around I see the trucks and crews diligently working. Recently I had a customer in Browningstone Complex, VB that need some assistance and BrightView came to the rescue. Gale Paige is a marketing genius, extremely nice and always knows who to call. Josh Mauer who handles the crews is a wealth of knowledge and was able to resolve multiple issues in minutes. Joe Johnson who manages the Chesapeake Branch has one fantastic team. From the top down you can not be in better hands. Very Highly recommended, if you are not currently utilizing this company you should seriously consider calling them today.

They have the most courteous employees of any place I have seen. When walking through my neighborhood they will always stop weed eating, blowing or cutting if they are near the sidewalk. They also do a good job of lawn care. Eagle Pointe community.

I observed a Bright View Landscaping pickup truck on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, southbound traveling at 68 mph, tailgating a sedan in the left hand lane. I drive the speed limit, I am in the right hand lane, taking this in.

There's zero point in speeding as often traffic will stop at the first traffic light.

Road etiquette is at an all time low. I have been a commercially licensed operator for five decades, the aggressive and selfishness on our roads, is alarming.

Operating a commercial vehicle with a logo and name emblazoned on isn't too smart. If I were in need of a landscaping contractor, I would weight the ethics of, simply based on how well they abide by our motor vehicle regulations.

They don’t trim the hedges on a regular bases nor do they trim the cedar bushes anymore. They refuse to clean out the flower beds. I have been told they are short staffed but yet we are expected to pay for this through out HOA dues. The landscape and the HOA are aware of this concern and they cleary don’t care because none of the board members live here. I have attached a pic
