Just a warning to any women looking for quotes with this company: I called for a sod quote and they asked what time my husband came home from work so they could schedule it for that time and “run it by him”. I don’t have a husband.

Very unprofessional company, Has billed me automatically without doing a job, ignored calls & emails. Wouldn't bother with these people. lawn companies that are levels above these people. 🤡

Edit: They attempted to DDoS my phones IP after leaving this review. LOL got blocked by my cyber protection.

Justin was a huge help. We needed lawn maintenance last minute and he was right there when we needed him. Came home to the yard mowed and weed eated. I couldn't be happie . 100% recommend extra mile lawn care.

I’ve Been using Extra Mile for lawn care for years across three different homes, and have been thoroughly satisfied with their work. Recently used them for a fairly intensive landscaping project and they had it knocked out in under two days. Great job!

Justin and his crew are very dependable and affordable. They have great ideas and get the job done quickly and efficiently. They have aerated, seeded, mulched, planted bushes, and did the stone fencing around the front of my house. Give em a call!

I had five landscaping companies come out to give me an estimate on trimming bushes, removing weeds, overgrown shrubs/trees, laying mulch, and pine straw. It was a full 2-day job. Two of the companies' owners actually live in my neighborhood of Alanton. The first of these companies put me on the list and said it would be a month. I said that would be fine. I actually waited 2 months but never heard back. When I called the company they said they forgot and asked if I would like to be put on the list? Seriously? After coming out, walking the property, and looking at the job the next 2 companies said they would get me an estimate. I never heard back from them. The fourth company that does a lot of yards on our cul-de-sac didn't show up for their scheduled appointment until we called and reminded them. I had almost given up when I came upon a sign in Alanton for "Extra Mile Lawn Care." I thought what the heck. I called the final fifth landscaping company. That afternoon Shawn, the manager was walking my property. I thought this is too good to be true. I received an estimate the next day and he said they could do the job in a few weeks. I accepted their estimate and the next day I got a call saying they could do the job that week. I still thought too good to be true. They came out that Thursday at 9:00 am as promised with 7-8 workers. They were fully prepared with all the equipment, mulch, and pine straw. The second day, Justin, the owner came out to introduce himself and to make sure that I was happy with the job so far. It was nice not only to have a site manager on site but to also have the owner checking to make sure the customer was satisfied with the job. Satisfied does not express how I feel about the job. I am ecstatic! Extra Mile Lawn Care has far exceeded my expectations! My backyard is a private Botanical Garden thanks to Extra Mile Lawn Care. I am so thankful I found them and they are now my permanent lawn care/gardeners. I am not one to write reviews but felt that this company and its team did such an amazing job that it was necessary for me to write this review

Owner/manager was very helpful and the father and son who work on our yard were incredibly polite and got the job done! The area they worked looks amazing and they were very diligent about cleaning up all the trimmings and leaves. Awesome service!

I called Justin last minute and asked him if he could help me with a large project! My 3 acre yard needed serious gumball help. Not only did he have his guys out quickly, but they did a phenomenal job. They were respectful and worked hard! I will be hiring Justin and his crew for regular care!

My lawn has never had the appearance UNTIL Extra Mile began maintaining it. With his professional, knowledgeable advice and recommendations, everyone begin to see the transformation from rags to riches. His crew is professional and polite. He has never asked to reschedule for any reason. I become excited too! as my day approach. This is the only company that has never left grass on any of my vehicles nor asked me to move them across the street.

This is the second year of using xtra mile landscaping , and couldn't be happier. Our lawn has always looked good , but this year was exceptional. Justin used a low weed blend of grass seed . Turf is thicker than ever.

Extremely pleased with the quality and color of mulch. The crew did a great job and walked around with me to make sure I was satisfied. The owner, Justin, responds quickly to texts or phone calls and is all about giving his customers the finest lawns & professionalism.

Justin and his team have been cutting my lawn in Norfolk for over a year. My house is on a busy street and it was difficult for me to find a company that would put up with the parking hassle in Ghent. Extra Mile has been wonderful. They are consistent and always show up on the days they say they will. I get a monthly bill for the work (after he's done the job!). Wonderful customer service and easy to communicate with. I was immediately in touch with the owner, Justin, who was very professional and took the time to ensure I received the best service package to fit my specific lawn/landscaping needs. Service gets better over time. As they get to know you and your yard & garden it starts getting more custom and a little more detail, and a little more love. It often seems with some providers that they lose their luster, but no, these guys have improved. I also pay less than I paid the last lawn service, and they started out seeming very similar and now these guys have surpassed.

I've been a professional turf manager for almost 20 years. I really didn't think that any lawn maintenance company would do high enough quality work to make me happy. I was definitely mistaken. The crew at Extra Mile is extraordinarily professional. The cut is great: proper height, sharp mower blades, no clumps & perfect edges. This is a very detail oriented company and their professionalism and outstanding work ethic shine through in their work. If you're looking for lawn maintenance, I'd definitely suggest that you call Extra Mile. If they can make me happy, they can probably make anyone happy.

Extremely honest and knowledgeable lawn care company! I have some large bare spots in my bermuda lawn that I was looking to have sodded. I found Extra Mile with a generic google search and a day later the owner was at my property to provide an estimate. After about an hour discussing the yard and what I was trying to accomplish the owner wrote an estimate on the spot. He handed me an itemized estimate for around $5k which was cheaper and more detailed than than the other two estimates I received earlier in the week. He then told me they can do the work but didn't want to because he thought I would have better results through custom lawn treatments (fertilization, etc.) with no sod needed and referred me to an entirely different company. I would have committed to the quote as Extra Mile was cheaper and more knowledgeable than anyone else I spoke with, yet instead of spending thousands I committed to a treatment plan with another company for around $500, all while Extra Mile gained $0 after spending over an hour at my property. It was extremely refreshing to deal with an honest company as these days it takes about 10 calls to find 1 honest person, this time it only took me 3. I have never left a review for any product or service, I have zero involvement in social media platforms so posting anything online is very uncommon for me, but I had such a positive experience with Extra Mile I felt obligated to share this. Although I did not have any services done through Extra Mile, I will definitely call them for future landscape projects and I advise you do the same.

My husband and I had the absolute best experience ever with Extra Mile. Both the owner and crew were very professional and courteous and went way above our expectations.
Because our backyard was mostly sand, from new construction, the crew had their work cut out for them. They were here 4, full days and worked hard on preparing the foundation, installing french drains, landscaping, laying sod and mulching. They cleaned up at the end of each day, never leaving any mess behind.
We also thought the cost of the entire project was very fair, having recently compared it to a neighbors backyard.
