After walking with Ryan the owner, we decided to go ahead and give them a shot for the lawn and mulching. Overall I am satisfied as Ryan took the time to listen to my wants and address them, their were a few hiccups in the beginning but the communication is great and overall happy with the services. We didnt like the big mower on the yard when wet due to a minor mud spot, We called Ryan and he promptly had the crew only use smaller mowers moving forward. We had Tim and Tony do the mulching and they were great to work with. Ask for them if you give Newell a call. Overall im happy and wife is happy and the owner is great about helping educate us on what is needed vs what isnt. Chris

Working with Newell’s was a great experience. Ryan and his crew made sure we were on the same page all along the way. Ryan kept us within our budget with a landscaping idea that was above our expectations.

All along the way there was clear communication. On the day the work was done, it all started with a walk around with Ryan and his crew chief and us to make sure the work to be done was clear. Throughout the day there was checking in by the crew chief to make sure all was well.

It was a very pleasant experience and we will be contacting them for maintenance.

“PRETTY” BUT SHODDY & SLOPPY

We had Newell Landscaping come out to service our front & back yard for our first time as homeowners May 2025 — this fact was argued, but I’ll get to that. They arrived with a crew of 6 and quickly got to work. We had paid another company to do full tree & seasonal trimming the week before so I was a bit alarmed to hear MULTIPLE weed whackers, but I decided to keep the faith. 3 hours later, our landscaping was “done” but not AT ALL to the standard we expected or were promised. My hydrangeas were HACKED (so yea, they won’t bloom this year — thanks a lot), the weeds in the flowerbeds were not sprayed or pulled — just simply covered up with mulch, in a most annoyingly sloppy way. Upon further inspection, I saw MANY desecrated leaves, twigs, branches & damage to 2 corners of our siding on our house from the use of said weed whackers. My husband, who is much nicer than me, reached out to the owner who loves to print on his invoices “please reach out to us! we want to know our job is to your satisfaction!” — yea right. This man argued back & forth MULTIPLE times about the “quality” of the work, he refused to take accountability for any damage done to our home, & he even went as far as to feel shock at our displeasure because he said he has serviced our home “for many years” …..newsflash, we moved into this home in 2019. we had never complained because we had NEVER used him. & now won’t ever again. WEIRD. Sure, after much argument someone finally came back out to spray the bright green weeds that were poking & growing thru the newly laid mulch, but at this point, I’m already so disheartened by the whole process & how we were treated — so I can’t wait to do their job YET AGAIN and now pull weeds, which we had already paid them over $1K to do in the first place. Next year, I’ll save my money & hire literally anyone else.

Gail and her team are exceptional. She assisted with a redesign of existing landscape that was thoughtful and beautiful. This all took place during tragedy and transition within the Brooks family and Gail was patient, communicative, and intentional. We received a quote from another popular company that did not take into account any of the desires that were stated. Gail transformed the requests we made into reality and was able to apply her expertise to help facilitate a beautiful outcome! Truly the best!

For starters They are very nice people. The owner was very nice to deal with and seemed to listen and helped us figure out what we wanted. We liked her vision as well.
When it comes the install, that is where things went down hill. They put in a flower bed along property line and it’s not straight. They don’t use weed matting which I do not understand. Now grass is all over the place growing through. There is a clear line between the beds that I personally did and the ones they did. Also several plants are dying which she said we have a year warranty so we will call on that. I am a little disappointed that the owner didn’t come back out to check the finished project as she would have seen how crooked the bed was. But now even my neighbors say it looks bad. I am going to have to redo everything I sent a picture of the bed enclosed by concrete border (that I did) to show the difference between mine with weed matting and theirs without it.

Brooks transformed my yard from the ground up, full landscape design, new flower beds, underground drainage, and multiple trees. The results look fantastic, and the value for the amount of work they did was unbeatable.

What impressed me most was their customer service and integrity. Two of the trees didn’t take in my soil, and they replaced them twice, the second time with a different species at my request and with no hassle or excuses. They fully honored their warranty and were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire project.

I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone, including close friends, family, and neighbors. If you want great work and a company that truly stands behind what they do, Brooks is it
