From start to finish, the CASE Team were all true professionals. Colleen and Neil are experts in their field and their wealth of knowledge helped bring our vision to life. Their design and construction expertise ensured timely completion of a remodel that we could not be happier with. As the PM, Bill maintained an organized and tidy work area, mitigating dust and keeping us informed of progress every step of the way. I would highly recommend the CASE Team and overall design experience. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for and the CASE Team was worth every penny.

We highly recommend Case for a home renovation. They provided a professional team guiding us through a complex process, helping us make wise decisions about our remodel.

After looking at several companies to create an open space by gutting our living room, dining room, and kitchen, renovate two bathrooms, and add a porch/sunroom, we settled on Case. We had heard horror stories from others who did renovations: delays, numerous change orders, expenses far exceeding estimates, and more. We experienced none of that with Case.

In short, their design advice and careful planning meant we ended up with a product that is better than we could have imagined. Case is a bit more expensive than some competitors…but you get what you pay for.

Their process is to be admired. Nearly every detail was worked out before a contract was signed and demolition began. A team was assigned to us to help us with developing the project which included drawing design elements of our project. It took us several months to work out the project design and the details we wanted. As first-time renovators, they were very patient with us, giving us the time to get comfortable with decisions. The design team was willing to offer suggestions if we wanted them or guide us to places where we could look at products and make our own decisions on cabinets, countertops, tiling, etc.

Once we completed that process, Case brought a team, including their subcontractors (e.g., electricians, plumbers), to walk through the premises to provide a cost estimate and to spot any potential issues they might encounter. This step helped avoid the “we just discovered” when the work started and unexpected costs.

Even as good as the design team was, the glue to making all this work was the project manager. He cracked the whip to keep the work on schedule and kept us aware of all the steps during our weekly meetings. These meetings were constructive and filled with problem solving solutions. Most importantly, he got to know us and our interests. Instead of falling back on rote responses and plowing forward with pre-canned solutions, he found ways to respond to our needs and our likes, often anticipating issues and solutions before we raised them. He treated us well, as though we were his neighbor, and applied his extensive skills and creativity to help us achieve outcomes we genuinely liked.

The entire Case team were not just skilled professionals, they also took pride in their work.

And, as a result, we couldn’t be happier. If we were to do additional remodeling, Case would be our choice without hesitation.

I would strongly recommend Case Architects & Remodelers without any hesitation. A dream team consisting of Jason Burdo, Allie Mann, Elle Hunter and Kevin Shore re-imagined, re-designed and implemented an unbelievable kitchen and powder room product for my family. Every artisan involved in our project was courteous and professional, particularly Eric Travis. The Case team's care, skill, creativity, organization and timeliness are top notch. They were patient in answering our questions and intentional in crafting personalized solutions that worked for our needs. We will only use Case for additional remodeling projects, as their standards, courtesy and professionalism are unmatched!

Case Design Build is the gold standard in the home remodeling industry. As a fellow business owner and remodeler, I’ve had the privilege of touring their company in depth as a Fred Case Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalist, spending a day and a half immersed in their operations. What I saw was nothing short of excellence at every level.

From leadership to project execution, Case operates with a level of precision, integrity, and innovation that sets them apart. Their process-driven approach ensures a seamless experience for clients, and their craftsmanship speaks for itself—meticulous, thoughtful, and built to last. But what truly makes them extraordinary is their people. The character, expertise, and professionalism of their team reflect a deep commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and the continuous advancement of the design-build industry.

If you’re looking for a remodeling firm that has its act together, knows this industry inside and out, and delivers nothing but the best, Case Design Build is the company to trust. They don’t just meet expectations—they redefine them. Highly, highly recommended.

Case Architects and Remodelers did a fantastic job with a complicated renovation of my home in North Arlington, VA. The Case team included Elle Hunter, design consultant at the Falls Church office, who was my first interface with Case and stayed involved throughout my project, Jorge Leon, who did all of the architectural and permitting work, and Justin Speer, who was the construction supervisor for my project. I would be remiss if I also did not mention Case’s fantastic carpenters, and a superlative set of subcontractors. Everything that was done was incredibly high quality, and in accordance with a detailed schedule that was established at the beginning of the project. Highly recommended for any home renovation project!

Our experience was outstanding from the beginning design phase to the final walkthrough. Our team of Victor, Elena, Bruce, and Bill, made sure that we were informed at every step during the project and that we were satisfied with each stage of the work. Victor handled the project development from the start and took care to check in with us frequently during the renovation. Elena put together a great design for us and helped us with small changes and orders later on. Bruce, our project manager, ran a highly organized team of Case employees and subcontractors. He provided us with a very detailed schedule, met with us weekly, and emailed informative updates. Bill, our lead carpenter, was very responsive to all our requests and made sure that the job site was as clean as possible at the end of each day. All the crews were careful and respectful of our home. Everyone responded quickly to any questions and concerns. Almost all the work on the schedule was completed early and the overall job finished on time and on budget. We highly recommend CASE and this team to anyone considering a renovation project. We look forward to enjoying our new space and will have fond memories of our team from CASE.

    Exceeded our expectations, Highly recommend!

Case Design and the entire staff were a pleasure to work with on our kitchen remodel. Our kitchen was completely gutted, the layout reconfigured, and in the process included several significant challenges for the trades. From our initial contact with Case right through to the very end of the project, Case’s professionalism, communication, reliability, and attention detail, were unsurpassed. Allie Mann, our designer, helped us through every step of the process from initial concept to a final spectacular, mid-century modern kitchen in keeping with the style of the rest of our home. We could not be happier with the Case team and their process. A very special thank you to Jim, Allie, Bruce and Roberto.

My wife recently posted a review of Case, but I want to add my perspective.

We hired Case to undertake a significant update of several rooms in our house. We totally gutted and replaced our kitchen; we updated a half-bath; we moved our laundry room from the main level to the bedroom level; we created a large walk-in closet out of the sitting area of the owners’ bedroom; we replaced our laundry room with a butler’s pantry adjacent to our kitchen; and we converted out garage access from two openings, each of which was wide enough for one car (with a post in the middle) to a single two-car opening.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with the quality and performance of Case’s design and implementation of our home renovation. Our primary designer (Elle) discussed our goals for our project and created an initial design. Based on our responses, she revised the plans until we were satisfied. She worked with us to select flooring, tiles, cabinets, and lighting. The designs met our desires and wishes.

The implementation was world class. We were given an expected conclusion date – and Case finished several days EARLY (a result none of our friends had experienced on their projects). Our project manager ((Jason) did a masterful job scheduling and coordinating deliveries, subcontractors and carpenters. There was no time when we were left without work proceeding on our project. The master carpenter (Eric) worked on the project from beginning to end. Both he and Jason solicited our reactions and responded to any concerns that we raised. The finished project exceeded our expectations.

A few caveats. Case is not a low-cost renovation company. But we expected to pay extra for a company that designed, implemented and coordinated an array of different contractors on our complex project in a professional and efficient manner. In addition, we had almost no costly change orders. Also, Case does not provide painting services or specifics of the closet interior. This was not a problem for us, and they suggested contractors who would perform these services. As these elements would come after the conclusion of Case’s responsibly, it was easy (and less expensive) for us to arrange for them.

Would we reuse Case for other projects (and recommend them to friends)? Yes, without a doubt.

Case did major work for us -- a total renovation of the kitchen, separate pantry, powder room, laundry room, and walk-in closet/dressing room, as well as replacing our two garage doors with one big one (requiring installation of a structural beam), and exterior lighting. Their work was consistently of the highest quality. The team included Elle and Grace for the design, Jason for project management, and Eric as lead carpenter, in addition to other employees and subs. Case started the job on time and ended a week early. They planned everything carefully so that time was not wasted waiting for the delivery of materials. All of their workers went the extra mile to ensure that we were satisfied.

We plan to hire Case again for a bathroom refresh. My mom, who has a lifetime of experience with home contractors, told me that I'm the only person she knows who had a major home renovation without fighting with their contractor.

Case renovated my primary bathroom this spring.
It turned out beautiful. The team, Justin and Allie, are incredible people in addition to being experts at their craft. Justin manages all the contractor assignments and coordination. Allie pulls together options of what you like so you aren’t overwhelmed with decisions. Both have a depth of knowledge and resources that make everything easy except getting used to contractors around the house starting early in the morning. Hiring Case gave me peace of mind. They redid my kitchen a couple of years ago. As I considered redoing my bathroom, I couldn’t bring myself to hire anyone else. That’s Daisy hanging out in the shower before it was done.

Mr. Gomez relaid the brickwork for my home's entrance. He did an excellent, professional job, on time and for the amount he had quoted. I would highly recommend him.

I was very impressed with the responsiveness of MVK Construction! I needed a repair done in my kitchen and they came out the next day and had it fixed by lunchtime. They were professional and the repair is better than it was before it broke! I would highly recommend them.

Maico and his crew are always professional and detail oriented. Maico's best quality is his responsiveness. In this business that is the most important quality. I often never get responses or receive very delayed responses, but with Maico this is never an issue and I really appreciate it.

Maico is a pleasure to work with. He recently repaired the stucco exterior of our home, as well as related work. He is professional and responsive. His work was very high quality and reasonably priced. We highly recommend him.

I used MVK to repair a stone sidewalk, a stone patio, repoint brick steps, and repair a brick walkway. Very good work and very good customer service. I was especially happy with the effort that Maico and his crew took to match my older brick and stone with new materials.

We hired Macio and his crew to reset our pavers, powerwash our house and retaining walls and do exterior and interior painting in our home. Maico and his crew understood what we expected and did a great job. His crew were very neat and organized with the work that needed to be done. All painting was neatly done with care as they covered everything that was not supposed to get paint on it. I recommend them and would hire them again.

My wife & I did a complete house renovation 12 years ago, and had some some stone and masonry repairs that need to be done. Maico and his team showed up early, got the work done ahead of schedule, and completed the project on budget. He is a real professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Maico and his team at MVK are professional, responsive, and get the job done! He is also kind and friendly, and easy to have in your home. He has done quite a few jobs for us around the house including reinforcing our stairwell bannisters, installing (beautifully) a front porch swing, removing and hauling away a huge sleeper sofa, and even helping us move some heavy furniture that we couldn’t do ourselves. He always goes the extra mile to vacuum/clean up and won’t leave until you are satisfied - willing to make adjustments to your taste. We are always pleased with the work that he does and happy to have seen him. Thank you Maico!

We've used MVK for several projects and have been very pleased. For the first project they re-pointed some areas that had cracked on the exterior of our house. We asked MVK to come back for a mini kitchen upgrade. The team put drywall up on the ceiling, added pot lights, took down a cabinet & removed and added new tile backsplash. Our kitchen looks brand new. Maico and his entire team are such nice people and very easy to work with.

Mr. Maico Gomez was a pleasure to do business with. He installed a paver patio and retaining knee wall in my back yard. The cost was reasonable and the quality of the work was solid. However, what sets Mr. Gomez apart is his outstanding customer service across the board. He visited at least three times to discuss the requirements before finalizing the contract. He was totally understanding and very informative when answering my many questions. I joined him at the stone distributor to select final pavers and wall stone and caps. He showed me many samples and explained the pluses and minuses of each. He had a qualified crew and everyone worked well together. As expected with any such job there were adjustments and minor changes to the original plans, and he adapted and adjusted with every one and with no change to the cost. He was flexible and took time to understand my questions, ideas, and requests. Granted, all were reasonable and within limits, and he was collaborative throughout the work. I plan to extend the patio and I firmly believe that Mr. Maico Gomez and his crew will return. Hire him.
