We always get fabulous service. Everyone is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable.
For our most recent service call about a toilet which did not refill, Dr. Elbio came when promised and put plastic covers over his shoes before starting work. He explained the issue and costs of repair solutions. I asked about replacing the entire toilet, which I had not mentioned when scheduling the appointment. Dr. E did not seem flustered by my request. He patiently compared the various options until I thoroughly understood my choices. What I found amazing was that he said he could install the new toilet that day, even though I was the last call of the day. What extraordinary service! I wish I could rate him with six stars.

Although I had previously used The Plumbing Dr and had excellent service, this service on 20 March 25 was extremely bad from the initial arrival to when I cancelled the service. I spoke to Wendy on 19 Mar 25 and was assured the service people would provide me the service I wanted. Drs Trey and Brandon arrived, and I showed them what I needed. Dr Trey told me he would rebuild the entire tank (not what I asked him). Both Drs went out to the truck and had lunch). I called Wendy to express my displeasure, and she told me to give them a chance (FYI: she didn't allow me to share my thoughts).

When they returned from their lunch, they went to the kitchen and told me they didn't have the spouts or faucet in the truck (Wendy told me this morning that they had all parts in the truck). Dr Trey then pulled out a form which showed all the estimates with the lowest being higher than $800. At that moment, I cancelled the entire call. I assure the plumbing company that I will NEVER call them for plumbing work again.

I recently had an emergency after-hours issue with a malfunctioning sump pump during a heavy rain storm. I called The Plumbing Dr. after 11pm and within 90 mins they had a licensed plumber at my door working to triage and fix the issue. Phillip was very professional and courteous. He did a great job replacing the faulty pump and getting everything up and running in short order. The callout fee was very reasonable (less than $100), as was the overall price to complete the job. Prior to this I hadn’t been a customer of theirs, but they will now be my first call.

We had one visit that was great! And the second visit felt like they put you in a situation of pressure to fork out the big bucks.

The last visit I had a couple small things to do. One was a small leak. Rather than only fixing the link they would not do any service unless they replaced all the valves, some pipes and the plumber admitted it didn’t need to be done.

In the call to schedule, there was no ballpark of what it would cost. And even the minimum price, I could have had a new sink installed through Home Depot. I don’t appreciate tactics to wait until the guy is there and putting pressure to pay to fix things that don’t need to be done.

Daniel from The Plumbing Doctor came today and found and replaced a pipe in my kitchen. I have been putting this repair off for quite a while and worried about the potential cost. I was very happy with the work Daniel did today and the price was excellent. He did a great job of explaining everything and patiently answering my questions. I have used this company before. They have unparalleled professionalism and their technicians are all very skilled. Thanks again to Daniel!

Fantastic service! I’d recommend this company to anyone in the Falls Church area. I’ve used The Plumbing Dr twice and both times, the technicians were prompt, polite, and patient in explaining my issue and options for resolution.

For my most recent experience, I called asked for assistance with a backed up floor drain (gross). I called at about 12:30pm on a Friday; Brian and Lloyd arrived around 2pm. Brian was thorough in his evaluation and explanation of my likely issue, while also clearly explaining the repair/clearing options. I felt totally comfortable with his level of expertise and recommendations. They had to bring out a different piece of equipment clear the drain and diagnose the issue; our issue was resolved by 7:30 pm that evening. Both Brian’s and Floyd were professional and courteous throughout the entire process.

Had a very positive experience with Plumbing Dr. We had a major clog of our kitchen sink that required extensive work (snaking and jetting, and replacing exposed pipes), and the team was very responsive, professional and efficient. Brian and Raaba assessed the situation and helped us navigate and understand our different options. They then executed the agreed upon plan in a timely and professional manner. I couldn’t be more pleased with their work.

Harold and Cornelius did a great job to renovate my kitchen under-counter lines to accommodate a new dishwasher. Once they had diagnosed the issues to resolve, Harold provided a number of options that would best fit my budget. They were very thorough and got the job done. I was pleasantly surprised to call and was able to get same-day service! Harold was the name of the plumber who came to our home and was very professional and polite. I also received a courtesy call about 15 minutes before he arrived (much appreciated). He discovered a new type of drain stopper in our home he hadn't encountered before. Yet, he found results on how to deal with it on-line and expertly got both our drains unplugged and flowing freely. As well, he completely cleaned up all around both sinks. I highly recommend this company for their experienced plumbers and getting the job done efficiently.

I encountered a serious plumbing issue over the weekend and was fortunate to have Wendy from the Plumbing Dr assist me. She efficiently coordinated with and dispatched Harald, a skilled plumbing professional, to my condo. Wendy's thorough explanation over the phone prepared me for the process and potential problems.

Harald came in the morning and conducted a diagnosis and identified the main sewage problem, which required him to shut off the water and remove the toilet. However, the valve associated with the toilet was frozen due to age. Coordination with the management office to access the water main valve for my unit was then needed. Harald, unable to proceed without permission, temporarily left for another job.

Once I obtained clearance from the management office and informed Wendy, she promptly reconnected with Harald. He returned later in the evening, addressing issues with my toilet and bathtub and clearing the main pipe obstruction. I am very appreciative that this complex problem was resolved on a Sunday.

Harald is an organized, confident, and friendly professional, while Wendy is responsive, thorough, helpful, and organized in her coordination efforts. It is evident that they genuinely want to help me out during this challenging situation on a rainy weekend. I extend my gratitude for their outstanding service and will recommend the Plumbing Dr to anyone in need of plumbing assistance.

I do not know what type of mentoring program they use but the owner (Dr. Bill) should be very proud of his employees! Harold arrived at our house this morning to help us with a kitchen drain issue. The was the first time we used "The Plumbing Dr." We were pleased and satisfied with the entire experience. Harold was professional, and professionally competent. He did a fine job of figuring out what the issue was and resolved it in relatively quick time. He left the workspace cleaner then when he arrived and charged a fair price for the work. We would definitely use the service again and would recommend them to others.

Spoke with Tracy to make an appointment. I requested first appointment of the day and asked for an experienced plumber. They were 90 min late and the plumbers were two young kids who spent TWO hours (which I had to pay $700) troubleshooting and could not diagnose the problem and continually on the phone with their supervisor.

Over the past decade, we have hired The Plumbing Dr several times to repair or replace faucets and toilets, repair pipe leaks, re-route pipes in the wall, etc. Recently, I was overwhelmed when I discovered a severely backed-up toilet and shower drain in our basement bathroom! I called The Plumbing Dr and spoke to Tracy, who was very professional and polite. Their schedule was full for the day, but Tracy was still able to get a crew to my home within a couple of hours. My team was comprised of Doctors Bill, Ture, and Brandon. After assessing the awful situation, Bill clearly explained the problem as a blocked sewer line and offered several options for the repair and clean-up. I did not hesitate to accept their estimate and their services. When they finished a couple of hours later, the pipe was unclogged, and the bathroom and affected areas were clean, sanitized and looked great.

I recently had a fantastic experience with the Plumbing Dr. at our home in the Mt. Vernon area. They came out to diagnose and replace a faulty thermostatic mixing valve, which was preventing hot water supply to our tub. Our technician Ture was incredibly professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He explained everything ahead of time and discussed options and charges in advance. He then quickly set to the task of replacing the valve and had everything back up and working in no time. A great experience all around.

I had an emergency today and was very stressed, but the nice woman on the phone was able to help answer my questions and knowledgeable enough to know my issue was urgent. She was able to send folks out within the hour and Turé And Kenny were fabulous. It took them all day but they worked non-stop and answered all my questions. They were respectful and kind to myself and my kids and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for your wonderful service!

Dr. Daniel and Dr. Cornelius were able to diagnose and repair a sink faucet leak as well as high water pressure/water heater concerns promptly. They installed a new pressure relief valve (PRV) and included a pressure gauge so I can monitor the water pressure at any time. Given my water heater is over 15 years old, I decided to replace it. They added an expansion tank to the water heater as well as 2 alarms to detect moisture or leaks. They explained various causes and symptoms of plumbing problems and answered all my questions professionally. They were courteous and conducted themselves in a professional manner. I highly recommend The Plumbing Dr and have used them many times over the course of several years. I can’t comment on the quality of the water heater; only time will tell. I registered the product (AO Smith 50 gallon) online and it has a six year warranty.

I called The Plumbing Dr on October 3rd after discovering water leaking through the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom. It was a total crisis moment. I was quickly scheduled for same day service. Harold and Jake arrived earlier than I expected yet called me to alert they were en route. They quickly identified the source of the leak, a small hole in copper tubing that had obviously been there some time. Of course they had to open the ceiling up. But they quickly repaired the leak and referred someone for drywall repair. Harold and Jake were personal, professional and very thorough. I would totally recommend using The Plumbing Dr and especially Harold and Jake. They did an excellent job.

Dr. Bill installed my water pressure backup sump pump about 2 years ago. You never want the backup to kick on, but after an (unnamed) plumber came over for a check, something happened - and I realized my backup sump pump was kicking on.

Fortunately, the water pressure backup was working as designed and planned. I called The Plumbing Dr to check up on my pumps to figure out if there was something wrong with my main pump. Turey inspected both, adjusted some settings, and now both are back to working as planned. Most importantly, my basement is dry. Hooray!

Plumbing problems are never fun but Devun & Shawn made the experience far less scary and stressful. They came early on a Sunday morning to address an issue another plumber deemed 'not an emergency' and expertly addressed the problem. They had referrals on hand for a follow-up service my I requested and left the area they worked in clean. Highly recommend!
