Brett and team did a great job today in providing my mulching service to all of my landscaping beds and tree islands. They are very professional and efficient in providing their mulching preparation and installation service at a reasonable and competitive price point. I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, ‘Mother Nature’ caused some unexpected scheduling delays this past week or so, but Brett promptly kept in touch with me along the way for rescheduling needs and it was eventually completed today. I appreciate that while he was trying to work around forecasted and surprise rainy days to complete the requested service Brett was also very understanding that he didn’t want to force the job to completion on a scheduled day that was wet grounds day and risk causing damage my lawn with their mulch transport machinery due to the soft ground surface caused by all of the rain.
It has been a pleasure and easy working with Brett last year and this year and I plan to continue using Mitchell’s Lawn Care Service LLC in the future for my mulching needs here at home. I highly recommend them.

Contacted him late Monday over his website. He showed up the next morning. Very professional, charged a fair price and got it done same day for leaf removal. Highly recommend.

The work generally appeared rushed and sloppy. The owner appears to sub-contract the work (he never showed up to do any of the lawn care) and the team that was assigned to my home was not proficient in weeding, edging, etc. They left a huge pile of debris right behind my short fence, scalped parts of my lawn, failed to address large obvious weeds, etc.

When initially addressed, the owner came across passive-aggressive and far more concerned about a prior Google review then actually addressing the issue. I ultimately removed the first review and continued the service.

Service slightly improved, but still was not ideal. Then, many weeks were skipped without service despite the contract arrangement that noted weekly visits. Owner noted this was due to recent aerating and seeding, but this was not explained at any point in time and the seeding was a completely separate fee/charge from the contract for weekly service. No one came out to weed, leaf blow, or provide any of the normal services outlined in the contract.

Ultimately cancelled the agreement and went with another provider

Edit: Saw the owners reply to this review. It should be noted that the contract specifically allowed to discontinue service at any time. I did offer the owner a chance to refund me for the month of September given that NO service was provided for that entire time. He refused and I ultimately discontinued service. I do not view that as “extortion” and quite frankly his reply is indicative of the attitude you can expect if you voice any concerns to him as a customer.

Was Googling/ looking for a local Glen Allen Lawn Care Service for my Dad for a month while he recovered from a surgery and I found Mitchell's. They sent me a quote for the month time frame and they were responsive to all my questions after. Parents said the employees did great on each lawn cut, quick efficient and responsive to any on-site questions. Would recommend if you need a lawn care service to beat this virginia heat 🥵 🔥

Brett and his crew did an excellent job trimming over 18 hedges in our yard at a very reasonable price. They showed up when promised, completed the work in a very timely manner (including clean up), and were friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely reach out to Brett for subsequent yard work in the future.

Mitchell's performed fall aeration/seeding along with the trimming of large holly tree and crepe myrtle. The jobs were completed with attention to detail and in an efficient manner. They communicated their schedule, arrived on time and did an exceptional job. I wasn't quite sure what they would be able to do with the holly tree because of its size, but it turned out perfectly. I would 100% recommend this company for your lawn care needs.

Team Mitchell recently completed the second project picking up leaves and doing a winter trimming. Working through the ice storm and weeks of frigid temps, the team did a first class job all around. A+++++ Great team, great leader, great company, fairly priced and honest.

Mitchell's Lawn Care was a great service to work with - they came out the same day to give me a quote. The quote was spot on with what I was hoping to pay. They did a fantastic job with a little bush trimming (and let me know what bushes should not be trimmed right now) and massive bed clean-up.

My shrubs were really overgrown. Brett did a great job trimming them and cleaning up all the mess. He also edged my driveway and sidewalk.I appreciate the attention to detail. My yard looks a lot better now!

I've used Mitchell's Lawn Care now for multiple jobs and they simply are one of the best. Great communication, incredible work, and fairly priced. I used them for a complete overhaul of flower beds, including weeding, edging, trenching and mulch. And then I used them again for aeration and seeding. They always want to make sure the job is done to satisfaction. Highly recommend!

My neighbor introduced me to Ross in 2023 when we were transforming the back patio of our waterfront home on Lake Anna. This particular neighbor has one of the most beautiful lawn and gardens on the lake, so I was very excited to work with Ross. Our project started with landscape lighting both in and around trees, making the path to our boathouse well lit / safe without being too bright and imposing. The perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality!

Later that year, Ross referred me to his stone mason who has since built us multiple incredible retaining walls on the front and rear of our sloping property, which Ross then landscaped and lit to really enhance our property both day and night! Finally, Ross jumped in on short notice to add sod and mulch to complete the project, and even an uplight in our infinity spa to add that resort-level touch. I don't have much of a green thumb and don't have the patience for much of the work gardening requires, but Ross met us right where we are at and ensured we would have a maintenance free solution that would enhance our property for years to come. To this day, the boxwoods he selected for us are still a point of pride as I look up at the house from our backyard.

I recently re-connected with Ross to discuss future projects, as he is the only landscaper I would trust with our home. In addition, Ross was great in getting back out to my property when I accidentally cut a wire feeding our lights and helped resolve the issue quickly. I highly recommend Ross for his professionalism, communication, fair pricing, and most of all, for his passion to help ensure your lawn and garden are exactly what you're envisioning.

Premier is the best lawn service I’ve worked with in Richmond, VA. My in‑laws needed a complete overhaul of their front lawn in April 2026, and the results were outstanding. The Premier team tilled the existing weeds and grass, loosened the soil, added topsoil, and then seeded. Their hard work resulted in a dramatic transformation of the property’s curb appeal. I highly recommend them!

Ross helped us establish landscaping in our backyard at a newly built home. Due to a drainage issue, corrected by the builder, a tree Ross planted did not survivor. He replaced the tree, no questions asked. Ross stands by his work. We enjoyed working with him.

Ross and his team performed the following services for me: cleaning out borders of weeds and excessive leaves, spreading mulch throughout all of the beds in the yard, removing three dead/dying trees and prepping the ground and planting three new ones, trenching the edge of the beds throughout the yard, widening a section of flower bed, and coordinating stump grinding for two of the three trees removed. Ross and his team were a pleasure to work with: timely, respectful of all the plantings throughout the beds, professional, courteous. I was completely satisfied with the excellent work that was done.

Excellent work on time and on budget. Beautiful plant materials. Will use again.
