Swept and inspected my chimney the technicians to the fantastic job

Heitor did a wonderful job now i can use it safely i recommend the work i will tell my friends of this great job.

They do not clean your chimney but they will take the money like they did. They "cleaned" my chimney, I had a fire in the fireplace that very evening and a swarm of wasps came in the house. If the chimney was cleaned there would not have been a wasps nest in the chimney afterwards.

They will try to get you to prepay 50% for work you don’t need. They’ll tell you about cracks that you can’t see and a new cap that you can’t see. They will miss appointments and not return phone calls. They use fear tactics like telling you your chimney failed inspection and it’s not safe to use. Avoid.

RVA Chimney Sweep are not BBB credited. Do not use. Had appointment never showed and had paid them half of fee and only called back when I called office 3 times. Very very rude and and unprofessional . RUN RUN DO NOT USE!!!!

RVA Chimney sweeps did an excellent job installing the right chimney cap at our house and not only that but founding the real problem of a leak that we were having every time it rained. They fix the problem, showed pictures of before and after and picked up all the dirt leaving the fireplace completely clean. We highly recommend them for any job you need related with your fireplace or chimney.

RVA chimney does good work. I had a situation where one of the technicians made a bit of a mess on the roof. I was frustrated of course, but the company did right and came back to clean it up and also partially refund me. They also went as far as getting the guy who made the mess to personally come back and apologize, which meant a lot. The guys are very knowledgeable and they care. I would recommend them if you need work to your chimney.

RVA Chimney Sweeps was very punctual, very professional and explained everything so I could understand what was wrong and what needed to be done to maintain the integrity of the fire place. It took several appointments to conclude the work and each time RVA Chimney Sweeps were most prompt, professional, very conscientious of their work and surroundings and cleaned-up any mess before leaving. The total cost was most reasonable and I highly recommend RVA Chimney Sweeps for all your fireplace/chimney needs.

We tried RVA Chimney Sweeps after seeing a special in a valpak.
Two guys came to our house, but they said our chimney was cracked and that we shouldn't burn any wood at risk of a fire. The main guy (Alfonso) said he was surprised it hadn't caught fire already. He said he didn't even recommend cleaning it right now, and said he would just charge a $69.99 inspection fee, which we paid. He quoted us about $1,000 to fix the chimney.
The guys had a picture that they said showed a crack in our chimney.
We got a second opinion (and picture) from Cougot's, and they said that while it wasn't in perfect condition, it was perfectly safe to burn. They said the amount quoted was fishy, as fixing the supposed problem would cost more than that.
We had Cougot's clean the chimney and continued to safely burn in our woodstove this winter.
Looks like RVA Chimney Sweeps either didn't know what was what (although he assured me he had 15 yrs of experience) or they scammed us for the $69.99.
Either way, we won't be using them again.

Had these guys do work on our front brick steps. The mortar they laid had come up within a year. If this is what it looks like and we can see it, I don’t recommend letting do work inside a chimney you can’t see.

I got RVA chimney to come out and inspect and sweep my chimney they did a fantastic job were there on time I asked them for all their business information they show me their business license insurance certificate and basically some fantastic testimonials especially one fom a Prior building inspector from Henrico county that they did some work for very impressed would recommend them to any friends and family good job RVA keep up the good work. Had Rva chimney sweeps diagnose a bad creosote buildup which I inherited from the previous owner of my new home.After some initial problems getting it properly cleaned Robert did all in his control to remedy the situation and complete the project to my satisfaction.

The gentlemen who serviced our chimney were on time and courteous and very knowledgeable about any problems with the chimney and explained how to fix it

I had called and scheduled an appointment with this company. I canceled my appointment 24 hrs in advance due to being pregnant and needing to see my doctor. I never received a call back to reschedule. The information was not relayed back to the techs from the main office and a man showed up to my house. I received a call the next day from Robert who was extremely rude. He said, he should of charged me for showing up (even though I had canceled 24 hrs in advance). He was unprofessional, rude and didn’t even let me try to reschedule with them nor finish my conversation and ignorantly hung the phone up on me. Miscommunication in their main office. Would not consider using them in the future.

Promises promises.. after my $4000 down-payment four months later, I still don't have my stove installed.
