RVA chimney sweep were very professional. got my job done quickly and I was very satisfied and they even made an appointment for next year

I called Rva Chimney out about a week ago for clean and inspection and they we're neat , clean, and organized. Highly recommend.

Rva Chimney Sweeps showed up when they were supposed to, but left without shutting our door. They left it open on a cold day not even saying goodbye. They had no problem taking our money but refuse to give us the safety report and pictures showing that we could use it. We have tried multiple times to explain that we would just like our report as promised, but Robert refuses to give it to us after being paid. He says he’s has too many new appointments. Buyer beware, we timed the repair so we could use or fireplace for Christmas and a New Year’s Eve party, but Robert can’t be bothered to give us the needed paper work. Always beware a contracting company that requires payment upfront!!! Live and learn!

Dependable, on time and better yet saved me money on all the work they did, under promised over delivered! great customer service.

My recent experience with Robert at RVA Chimney was awesome! They were prompt, conscientious, and solved the mysterious chimney leak! The leak was on a slant and hard to detect, so they came back until it was fixed, then reapplied a fix to the inside at no charge! I highly recommend RVA Chimney sweeps!

Robert was scheduled to come for a chimney inspection and cleaning but had to reschedule due to the pandemic. He called me in advanced and was able to reschedule me quickly. When he came out he was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He was able to show me what needed to be fixed and explained how it would be done. He scheduled to come back within a week which was very impressive to me. I was glad he was able to come back himself, with Cody to do the necessary repairs. Both gentleman were extremely courteous and did great work. They left our home and yard clean after the repairs were completed. I will definitely hire this company again. I was so impressed with the communication and details they provided and know we can use our fireplace again.

The guys were great! They came on time and did the job efficiently while even putting up with my dog who wanted to join in on their job. Would definitely recommend to use!

I was impressed that Robert was a master certified chimney an that were on time explained everything to me after that swept and inspected I had minor cracks in my firebox and a large hole in my lentil. They have a special on website that they admitted they needed to remove but hadn't and wouldn't honor the price. Never called to confirm appointment. Left 3 messages never returned my call. Had an appointment scheduled for 230 and called me at 245 to cancel. I had someone waiting at the house missing work for these guys to never show up.

We are very pleased with our service. We had Alonzo do the inspection and he was very professional and gave us a great discount to get all the work needed for our almost 100 year old chimney. They were able to schedule us quickly to do the repairs that were needed so we could be in good shape for Christmas. Gabe and Mike took their time explaining the work and showing me the pictures of the work to make sure I was comfortable with the work. Everything looks great and we are so excited to be able to use our chimney. Thank you RVA Chimney Sweeps!

At first it started off well very responsive and polite. The owner promises he will call or do something and never does. He catches an attitude when you call him out about it. I’ve been very patient and respectful. If you have paid your money and are told you will get a call or email that’s what should happen.

I just wanted to give a shout out to RVA chimney because of the fantastic job they did on my sweeping and inspection after the inspection they showed me photos of what was wrong Quoted me a great price I decided to get that done. and thay did it on the spot . very professional ,on time and what really l really liked was thay Showed me their business license and insurance certificate and the chimney sweep Certification Badges which left me at ease . Had a value pack coupon for $69 inspection and sweep- they said repairs would be over $600.00 which I had to pay half right then and there. I got a second opinion and they said RVA chimney never cleaned it! You get what you pay for which cost me $69 - a lesson learned! Don’t fall for this!

Knowledgeable and professional service. Used Rva chimney for a chimney and fireplace inspection. The inspection revealed a chimney issue, so I used the company for repair. All the technicians were professional and courteous, and explained the issues and findings very clearly. I would definitely recommend RVA chimney

Hector came out to answer a few questions and do a chimney inspection for us. He was thorough, informative, and professional. I will definitely be using this company for future inspections and chimney work!

Update Update 8/29/23 - about 5 months ago, the owner called and worked with me to fix my chimney. It was painful and a long time after paying and "needing" it. But to be fair, they apologized and did ultimately fix it.
Changed from 1 star to 3 star for getting it done.

Update 11/7/22....
So, as of 4/11/22, I have tried to get updates from RVA Chimney Sweeps and have not received any proactive calls. The repairs were supposed to be done in Jan, and yet nothing as of 4/11/22. I wish they would have told me it might be 6-12 months before the maintenance would be done. And more importantly, I wish they wouldn't charge me until they completed the work. I will not use them again and will probably contest charges with my credit card company. Disappointed customer in Richmond

11/7/22 it's as if I don't exist. They asked me to take a picture of the chimney to confirm it is not fixed... Rusty old and black is not new...
And the main inside part is not done... Wasted $1000s... Wish it would get done.

I would highly recommend this company to any one in the area. We contacted RVA Chimney to get a second opinion after not feeling comfortable with the recommendation of a different company. Scheduling was easy. The two men who came for the inspection were professional and respectful. They wore their masks and maintained a respectful distance. They took pictures so that I could see what they had seen and explained everything in layman's terms so that I could understand. They answered all my questions and gave me a copy of the inspection report. All their recommendations were discuss with me and I in no way felt any pressure to purchase anything. This company is great!

This company showed up, gave me a $1000 quote to repair my chimney tops, told me they would be there the folllowing week but needed a 50% deposit because of the necessary scaffolding. They were paid $400+ and never showed up....several calls later promised to deliver services, but again never showed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

**Thieves** This company took my money 4 years ago, $465 deposit required to sweep and repair my chimneys, and they never showed up.....THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! (I find it ridiculous that I have to give them 1 star to leave a review, but I'll attribute the 1 star to how quickly they contacted me and requested downpayment to show up for the repairs) #THIEVES!!!#

Great company, great work, very professional and friendly and they do a nice job cleaning up after themselves!

I wish I had read these reviews before I hired this company. I hired them to re-point my patio. Poor workmanship, halfway done and way overpriced.
