Colby was on time, extremely polite, personable, informative and has a delightful, friendly personality. He took careful measures to successfully complete his work and to protect my home. I scheduled online (quick and easy btw) on a Sunday night, and had an appointment Tuesday morning! Ryan arrived on time, and is really nice and polite. He was very efficient and thorough, and helped make sense of what was going on. Ceiling fan & light fixture is working like new. Service fee + same day repair is very fair/ affordable.

When we had our Heating andante conditioning replaced by ONE HOUR AIR,, we were given annual checks by the and there plumbing and electrical divisions. Today I had our electrical system inspected by Colin Burton with MISTER SPARKY. He show me some things to watch for and installed a ceiling fan while he was here. I recommend him highly.

Mr. Sparky adds another service under the One HOur Heating and Air umbrella that I would recommend. Professional, courteous, and conscientious, they do a great job.

They previously installed my new HVAC and today they swapped out some outlets for me.

Also, was fast and easy to get an appointment.

Ryan was very polite. I had purchased 2 exhaust fans & 2 outside motion lights. Ryan will be back to install one of the exhaust fans as I need to get a bigger one. He did a wonderful job installing the one exhaust fans & the outside lights. He even explained that the bulbs I had were for inside use not outside. I have never had a bad experience with Mister Sparky and highly recommend them.

From the initial visit by Colby to the completed work, Colby and the company impressed. Timely, efficient and fairly priced has made Mister Sparky my go to company for my electric, HVAC and plumbing needs. Great job!

I will be “stubbornly honest”, just like the guy from Five Star Richmond claims in the radio his techs are. Every time I hear those radio commercials, it makes me angry all over again. “Stubbornly honest” is what they claim to be, but “stubbornly honest” is not what they ARE NOT!

We needed an attic fan installed so we called Five Star. What we got was ripped off — an improperly installed fan for $1200. While I was home for the initial visit and job quote, my husband was home for the actual installation part.

The electrician was super nice. My husband and I both liked him a lot. Personable and just seemed like an all around nice guy. I showed him the attic fan we bought and told him if we needed to buy a different fan, please let us know and we could get a different one. He looked at it. Said it looked like a good purchase and it should work. When he came down from the attic I reiterated that if we needed to buy another fan we would if the one we bought isn’t right for the job. His response was confident, “oh no. I can make it work.” That should have been my first red flag — the “make it work” part.

After the electrician installed the fan, my husband didn’t go up and inspect or approve the job, which baffles me. I get that it was over 100 degrees up there, but he should have. His decision to just hand over $1200 and not inspect the job baffles me just as much as how someone can charge us $1200 and not be “stubbornly honest” enough to say “I am sorry I can’t install this fan properly”.

Our roof supports are 14” apart. The fan we bought said it was 14” online but when it arrived it is actually 15” wide. So the electrician attached the fan to the roof support studs which means the fan could not possibly be flush against the gable screen. It was a little over 5” away so half, if not more, of the air just reverberated off the screen. The fan couldn’t do its job. I get that it was the best he could do, but what he should have done was be “stubbornly honest” and told us that he couldn’t install the fan properly and that we needed to get a different fan. He should have told us that from the start. Period. Maybe he didn’t know he was installing it improperly (which I find hard to believe.) If this is the case, the company should have never sent him.

My husband discovered that the job wasn’t done right the next morning. Called and spoke with a manager who sent a different electrician. He agreed that the original electrician should have told us he couldn’t do a proper install. He gave suggestion of finding two smaller fans so they could fit thru our 14” roof structure. That he would come back to install them and seal it properly. He also told my husband to get the materials to seal around the fans, although my husband has no carpentry knowledge or skills. So he didn’t even really know what to buy exactly. We searched and searched but couldn’t find any smaller attic fans that had the fire safety protection. So the manager said they would source two fans out. He came back with fans that weren’t firesafe as we had requested and wanted to charge us EVEN MORE money, $800 something.

I feel like we got royally screwed over by Five Star Mister Sparky Electric.

What I should have done was be patient and waited for our handy man to do the job instead. What I should have done was measure the attic myself and help my husband research attic fans. I also should have been home for the install.

What Five Star Mister Sparky Electric should have done was be “stubbornly honest” from the start and be “stubbornly honest” enough to make this right. Afterall, they have radio commercials touting how wonderful they are and how “stubbornly honest” they are. I will never recommend this company. And when we get our electric box redone in the spring, I can tell you who we WON’T be calling for that $5000 job.

Colin did an excellent job! He diagnosed the problem, and found the problem was in the switch not the light itself! He saved me a whole lot of time and effort in repareing a cherished Neon light fixture! This fixture is regarded as fun to see especially during the Halloween season! Thank you again Colin!

Very pleased with my recent home electrical inspection! Colby was very thorough, professional, and such an informed technician. Not know the history of this home since I have only been here 4 months truly helped with this inspection. Inspection was free through their maintenance contract through One Hour Service. Colby was very professional, and gave honest assessments and advice. He was very thorough with his inspections and made sure he communicated what the issues were. Honest and straight forward.

Trevor came out and provided an estimate for services. He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful in figuring out what is needed for our home. When I called Mr. Sparky for an estimate, they were able to provide it within two working days of my request. A very good start to a process where we will need a lot of work done and a partner we can trust.

We called over the weekend for an emergency because our main fuse box was arcing and humming. Jacob showed up to the job and gave us a detailed explanation of the issues and went straight to work ensuring we were safe. Financing is incredible and we could not recommend them more!

Colby was awesome and very efficient in his work. He arrived on time (actually earlier) and was very thorough explaining what he would be doing and took great care to provide excellent service. I was even able to quote for a future service I will schedule which was equally wonderful: I highly recommend him for your electrical needs!

Colin was professional, on-time, attentive, friendly, and experienced. We are replacing and grounding every outlet and installing a couple new things, so it's great to know we are in good hands.

Update. No changes...great service...but the standard charges for extending an outlet to adding one more in a newly framed wall w no drywall up yet...$600+ for just moving a box 1 foot and adding 4 ft of wire to adfing another box...not Colin's fault--company sets the raye, but at that price, I'm looking elsewhere from now on. Depressing.

The tech was on time and very professional. He explained everything that he would doing and completed the work promptly. He cleaned up the workspace and then again explained what he done and how it worked. I would highly recommend Mister Sparky if you need any electrical work at your home.

My technician was Matt Armstrong. He was on time and professional. We discussed everything to be done and it was all done professionally. The only problem I had was with the estimate process. The documentation was confusing, specifically the pricing. It took a few phone calls and texts (which I don't like when addressing a problem) to get it all figured out. I would use there services again and hopefully they will get there estimate process fixed.

Very timely with great communication. Corey is a nice easy going guy who took his time, explained everything and took care of business. Mister Sparky hires great people who know their business and do it well proven once again by sending Corey to take care of us.
