Major privacy violations

We have been customers of MaidPro for over a year and have had a mostly positive experience until recently. On Friday, a new cleaner came to our home and stayed for 7.5 hours but still did not complete the cleaning—something our regular cleaner typically accomplishes in about 3.5 hours. This was disruptive to our evening, as we have young children, and it was not the quality of service we were accustomed to. We spoke to the owner to request that only our usual cleaner be sent moving forward to avoid such disruptions. During this conversation, I offered to send pictures of the incomplete cleaning, to which the owner replied that he already had pictures.

I was shocked and disturbed by this response, as I had not sent any pictures. When I asked how he had them, he revealed that their cleaners routinely take before-and-after photos of clients' homes on their personal devices and share them with management. This practice was never disclosed to us, nor was it included in our contract. When I expressed concern, the owner admitted it was not in the contract but claimed it was standard practice to document their work.

This raises significant privacy and security concerns:

Cleaners use their personal phones, which may upload these photos to shared or private cloud storage. The images likely include timestamps, geolocation, and intimate details about our home, including the layout, security features, entrance/exit points, where valuables are stored, and where residents sleep.

Photos of personal items, family pictures, children's rooms, toys, and even private workspaces are being taken without our consent. These images could potentially be accessed by anyone with access to the cleaners' cloud storage or devices, including family members or others in shared environments.

When we began using MaidPro, we were assured of privacy and confidentiality. We never consented to having our home photographed, and we find this practice an egregious violation of trust. Had this policy been disclosed upfront, we would have reconsidered using this service. Transparency and respect for clients' privacy are non-negotiable, and this experience has left us deeply disappointed and uneasy about continuing with MaidPro.

If you value your privacy and security, I strongly encourage you to consider these practices before hiring this company.

This is my second review because I am now working with a different Pro and she is excellent. MaidPro has made my life a lot easier and they have been very flexible with my schedule. I want to thank my Pro, Jenny. This is the 3rd time she has been assigned to my home and I hope she stays. She is thorough and has complied with my requests on how I want my floors cleaned. Thank you for your service.

I was skeptical about trying another maid service due to having bad experiences with other companies, but I was absolutely thrilled with the job Nicole and Lacee did today!!! Maidpro has made my life so much less stressful to be able to come home to a clean house after work. Will definitely continue our monthly service!

Jade and Aidan were super nice and professional from the time they arrived. They helped make me feel normal in how bad the first time was, as well as Jade was super personable and made it feel like a friend had come over to help me. The super visor over them came to help and was super personable as well. They made sure that the items were organized and cleaned. Even made the bed which I didn’t expect. Way worth the money and honestly priced cheap and affordable

I have been using MaidPro of Midlothian for a little over a year. They do a great job, are on time, and are reasonably priced. Highly recommend! Five stars!

Melissa, from Maidpro, cleaned our home yesterday, and did a spectacular job.

Our first shot at using a professional cleaning agency. We are highly impressed! Desiree and Nicole provided our first “deep clean” prior to our bi-weekly schedule starting. The change was amazing. Our kitchen appliances looked like they just arrived. Kitchen was spotless. And the baseboards… my back and knees can’t handle getting them. Our baseboards are again shiny white… EVERYWHERE! Nicole (who handles QA) explained everything upon arrival… how they work, what they use and do, and provided a great follow up at the end. The house looks great. Neighbors came to check it out last night… and they were impressed… and they always say how clean we keep our house anyway!!! It was quite noticeable! A tip: We hate clutter! In fact, we made an effort to get as much ‘stuff’ off the counters and shelves as possible… something we always try to work on… but time takes over. It gave us a great “reset”… but both Desiree and Nicole mentioned how much better it makes it for them… less time moving and shifting things, more time devoted to cleaning backsplashes, etc. They did great and we are looking forward to the next visit in 2 weeks. Maid Pro has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. They did the most amazing and attentive job on our move in clean, and has continued to provide spectacular care. The house smells so amazing afterwards, and is so well organized. We had originally intended to use them just while I was recovering from surgery, but was so impressed, we have continued! Yolanda is so kind and really goes the extra mile for our family. We have tried several other companies, and none of them came even close to the professionalism, attention to detail, and quality of clean we get from Maid Pro! Thank you!!!!

Carter, Keri, and Leslie did a fantastic job cleaning our home. They made sure every room was throughly cleaned and went above and beyond. I would welcome them back into our home again given their great work and attention to detail.

Jonathan Mangan and his team are just so easy to work with and so reliable and conscientious. They show up when you expect, most of the time it is the same team. Haley is just terrific and his employees stay with him. They are treated well and that makes a big difference!

Dayra and Keri were fantastic! Did an exceptional job. Friendly and respectful. I appreciated that the supervisor came to drop off supplies, check on the clean, and even cleaned a little too. Speaks volumes about integrity and work ethic of the company.

Carter, Emma and Keri were my MaidPro team. I am moving into a new house that had not been lived in for two years it was very dusty and needed a top to bottom cleaning. My wonderful team came in and worked effectively dusting clean the bathrooms and cabinets in the kitchen plus they cleaned the refrigerator shelves washing them in the sink to clean them properly. They cleaned the ovens and micro wave too. Then vacuumed and mopped their way out the house. It’s amazing and feels so clean and homey now. Thank you so much team. Can’t wait to see you again.

Paid for 4 hours. Maid pro had one person here for an hour and a half and another here for an hour. The second was in training. I won’t go into everything they didn’t clean, a pictures worth more than words, would you pay a few hundred for this? Every part of my floor has smudges/dirt/gross. They’ve been “cleaning” for 6 months every month. Bathroom floor has never managed to become clean.

MaidPro has been one of the best cleaners I have come across and I use cleaning services often, every time we move per military. They are quick but thorough. They paid attention to detail and loved how kind they were. The owner was very flexible with my crazy work schedule. I would definitely recommend them even if it is just for a one time cleaning.

We needed a move-out cleaning for a 3000sqft rental home and MaidPro did a phenomenal job. They were on time, professional, and friendly. The entire house looks perfect. We’re really happy with how easy they made our move out!

I have just been with Maid Pro for about three months I believe and it’s the best investment. Having my home cleaned once a month has helped me tremendously. I maintain my home upkeep until the next clean. It is just me and my husband and trust me it makes a difference. The two maid pro cleaners who have come to my home twice already Ms. Aaliyah and Keri have made it so easy for me to keep my home up until the return. These ladies are polite, quiet and very respectful to our home. The come in greet us and get straight to work. I will continue to have my home cleaned by Maid Pro especially if these two ladies can fit me in to their schedule.

Several people came to our house to check on things and help clean. They worked all day long. Each one was extremely friendly. They kept asking if I was satisfied or if I wanted them to focus on any particular area. Best of all: my wife was happy when she returned home!
