Installed a nice mini-split system in my garage to provide heat during the winter and air conditioning during the summer.

Very professional team replaced our 20 year old heat pump. Helped me find a high quality unit that was priced right and met our needs and expectations. In installing the new unit and removing the old one they appeared to be very experienced and professional. Laid down a floor runner so as not to soil the inside of house and were very quiet and quick. Explained new features and thermostat to us.

On July 3, my AC started acting up. It would make a whirring noise and not come on. I then checked my neighborhood Facebook page to see which AC company to contact. HVAC Specialists of Virginia had several mentions and more than any other company. I then reached out to them using Facebook Messenger and asked if they worked on July 4. Late at night they replied saying that they could stop by my house. By that time I was researching if it was a capacitor that was my problem. I was also reading reviews of several other companies and even read the Google Reviews of HVAC Specialists of Virginia, which were all very good. I also contacted Costco since that guy always asks if you need a new AC. I then read that the Costco AC is more expensive and not as good. On July 4, Mark showed up and quickly showed it was not my capacitor and showed me what my issue was. My unit was 19 years old so he gave me several options and I knew it was time to get a new system based on everything I read online saying that AC units last 10-15 years. He didn't charge me for that July 4 visit and said I would get an estimate via email for a new system. I then cancelled the Costco appointments. For some reason, I didn't get Mark’s estimate, but Susie followed up with a phone call and I had the estimate sent to another email address. I got that estimate and Susie was also ready to go over the estimate via phone. I quickly reviewed and signed my invoice on my phone since Mark said it would take a couple of days to order and receive the equipment. My install was then scheduled for July 9 and Mark and his coworker were able to completely replace my system in 7 hours. Mark was professional, honest, and delivered on everything he said he would. I would definitely recommend especially since he’s a small business and not a big company that is always looking to make a profit.

I recommend HVAC Specialists because they are knowledgeable, always on time, their prices are good and all technicians are personable and friendly. HVAC replaced my heat/ ac system a couple of years ago and check out our system twice a year. We are very happy with their service.

Just had HVAC Specialists check out our heating/AC system at our new home. The technician arrived on time and did a thorough check of the system. He even corrected the aux heat connection on our ecobee thermostat. Highly recommend!!

HVAC Specialist of Va. have serviced our HVAC system both service calls and maintenance but this visit was to install a water heater. Mark and Austin arrived promptly at our arranged time, installed water heater with additional requested upgrades to fittings,valves and tubing. They kept me updated on the progress and when finished, did a fantastic job of cleaning their work area. I was impressed with the job they did and feel they did it at a reasonable price.
