We were very happy with the quality of work performed. The price was also very reasonable.
And I have to note that communications were very effective and timely. I really liked Emily. She is very organized.

I had them come out to remove several trees after I had a new sewer line and roof put in. Their professional assessment on the property provided me with some excellent information so I only had to remove the trees that were liable to cause an issue. When I decided which trees needed to be moved, they worked very fast, and did an excellent job fitting me into a busy schedule.

We used them to cut down four very tall pines in our backyard. Their price was the best we got, and they did an excellent job. The crew arrived on time and finished the job with great care. They managed to cut down the pines without damaging a small redbud and a maple right by those pines.

We had a small tree in our rocky landscaping that Lawson came by and removed, no problem! He was very efficient and thorough -- chainsawed the tree AND removed the root ball by himself in a jiffy. Took all the material away for us, too; now you'd never know a tree used to be there. Lawson offers incredible value compared to many other options out there, plus he's super friendly and gracious in his desire to help the customer. Highly recommend to anyone in the Richmond area!

The team from Commonwealth Tree was outstanding! The arrived as scheduled and spent many hours learning moving up and trimming out dead limbs from very large oaks. The team was efficient and very respectful of the property. I highly recommend them.

CTC was so easy to work with through the entire process. Their estimate was fair and reasonable, and their staff was so professional and careful when cutting down the trees near my fence. I also asked them for stump grinding, which was quick, and the yard cleanup afterwards was fantastic. Highly recommend.

I had a large tree branch partially break off and fall on my roof. I had seen Commonwealth Tree Care working in my neighborhood so I found their website and did a contact request. The next day they had someone out to do an estimate and the day after that a crew came by to remove that limb and prune other hazardous branches. I appreciated that they were as interested as I was in keeping the tree alive and healthy. I would definitely recommend Commonwealth Tree Care for your arboreal needs.

I could never have imagined the service I received from this company . Employees work well together / get the job done . Efficient. Clean and fantastic at what they do . They care about the trees - they even asked me if I wanted to keep some trees :) . We had 28 trees removed and needed to for a huge addition . I tried with quotes and feeling out different tree services . Some are very well known but never felt comfortable with them or let alone like the quotes given . This company is the best at what they do , at least check into them because you won’t be disappointed.

The team at Commonwealth are amazing. From Lawson standing in the snow discussing how they will take the multiple trees down, the safety and professionalism of the crew(James, Sam, Jose, and Conner), and the curtesy call and follow up from Emily in the office. I have used Commonwealth Tree Care twice now and both times have felt that I got more than my money’s worth. With these guys I feel like I’m using people who actually care about trees, not just a crew of people hired to cut branches willy-nilly. In the estimate process I was made aware of how much trimming could be done without causing harm to the tree and I really appreciated that. I definitely plan to use them for any future tree work and I have recommended them to friends.

When they had an opening in their schedule, they offered to move up the scheduled date for my tree work (no pressure), were able to bring out the bucket-truck, and knocked my job out in less than a full day. The crew was on-point and totally blitzed the job. They laid down heavy geo-mats for the heavy traffic areas and kept the yard damage to a minimum. Good cleanup job after they were finished too. We used Commonwealth Tree Care to remove a huge white oak that was dying in our front lawn. Between organizing the city permit, the crane, and working around our busy schedules, Commonwealth was incredibly flexible, cooperative, and communicative. On top of all of that, their prices were very reasonable compared to other quotes we got for the work. We will definitely use them again for our future tree maintenance needs!

Despite weather challenges, the task of cutting trees and clearing tree limbs was executed in timely manner. The crew left the site cleaned and in order. All tasks were fulfilled as required.
