Even with new appliances, our kitchen was looking sad due to its original cabinets from 1972. So it was time to change! We had heard about Nicely Done Kitchens for a few years now and decided to go in & get an estimate.
Our first meeting with our designer, Cathy Goss, set the superb tone for the rest of the project. In getting an idea of what we wanted for our townhouse kitchen, she carefully went through the various options available while taking all of our questions through each step.
When the time came in for the actual measuring, Cathy checked and re-checked each. We reviewed the proposal in a process that was pretty painless. We were introduced to Alexandria as our Project Manager who went through her role, the time allocated, and what to expect.
While we faced some delays not by Nicely Done Kitchens but with the actual cabinets due to COVID and the supply chain, Alexandria kept us fully informed and worked with us to prepare us for the installation’s daily timeline. We can’t say enough about Brian our installer who worked smoothly with the plumbers and electricians to give us basically…a totally new kitchen.
It was completed on-time, on cost, and with constant evaluation by the great staff at Nicely Done Kitchens. Their focus is always on your new kitchen and would always & easily recommend them.

We knew when we moved into our home, our kitchen/dining area would need a massive renovation to become the space we wanted for cooking/entertaining. It took us four years to be able to move forward with the project. Of all the companies we interviewed and received quotes from, Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths and their designer Doña was the most innovative with the approach, design, and space planning. She was very aware of our budget and was able to easily work with it.

Doña was fantastic to work with, navigating my husband’s and my differing tastes, understanding how we wanted to use the kitchen and leaving no detail overlooked. When we added our hall bath to the project, she was able to pull together the perfect design for us just from a single conversation.

She was as excited for the renovation as we were and was creative when it came to items we wanted to incorporate (an electric fireplace on the dining room wall and a specific look/feel to our split-level staircase) and we always felt we had a listening ear and someone in our corner at every decision point.

When we are ready to undertake the additional two baths in our home, I will not hesitate to contact Doña and Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths.

What a lovely experience with Nicely Done Kitchens ! We were pleased to work with Maria on our design and she transformed an outdated kitchen into a fresh, modern centerpiece of our home. I needed to replace my kitchen counter top, sinks, and faucets, as well as add a tile back splash, and decided to contact Nicely Done Kitchens after seeing they were recommended on Angie's List. It was a relatively small job (we weren't replacing the cabinets, appliances, or floors), but we wanted professional help rather than doing the work ourselves. I worked with one of Nicely Done's kitchen designers who came up with some great solutions, such as granite composite sinks and faucets I never would have found on my own. Another employee served as the project manager, and she was totally organized and professional. The work was done when she said it would be done, and the quality was impeccable! My husband and I love our new kitchen, and we highly recommend this company. The cost was reasonable, and the two women who worked with us made the process as painless and worry-free as possible.

After 12 years of daydreaming and pinning pictures of what I wanted in a kitchen, Nicely Done got it done for us and we're thrilled with the outcome! There was no pressure to upsell us on things we didn't want and there were no surprises or hidden costs, and they came up with creative solutions when our old house threw us some structural surprises. Very pleased with the whole process.

Our experience with Nicely Done Kitchens was exceptional from the very beginning! From my very first inquiry, we received a very quick response and were set up with an appointment with Kate, our incredible kitchen designer, almost immediately.

We had gotten quotes from other places and designers but none completely impressed us with their design sense and professionalism as did Kate. Throughout the process, Kate took the time to understand what our vision was and made recommendations to make it 10x better!! She also was able to give us a beautiful mudroom that worked in our budget. Furthermore, she's incredibly kind and just a treat to work with!

Once we started the project, we were also blown away by Steve our contractor and his amazing team. At the very beginning, he shared a detailed week by week timeline, gave us direct access to him to communicate all along the way and stuck with the plan! Even when issues come up (like Eddie using his electrical expertise to bring our awful kitchen wiring up to code) the team was able to keep our planned schedule. They also went above and beyond to ensure even the smallest detail met our expectations. This includes Sergio with the with the beautiful cabinet installations and Ceasar attending to the many kitchen details.

I can't recommend NDK enough for the seamless and enjoyable process along the way and for giving us the kitchen of our dreams!

My family is delighted with our new kitchen remodel from Nicely Done Kitchens and Bath. Cathy was our designer, what a wonderful eye for design and detail. Cathy is a dream to work with in understanding color preferences, special needs for the kitchen (like hiding our large recycle bin but making it accessible), keeping it light in case we sell the house in the few years. We are still waiting on our flooring which is from another vendor (Covid delay) and backordered stove which isn't the fault of NDKB. We had a fantastic experience working with Nicely Done! Kate was our designer, and was wonderful about presenting design options that matched the look we were going for. Her taste is impeccable, and as soon as she saw photos of what we loved, she got to work and made the whole process easy and fun. Jose was our contractor and did an amazing job with his crew. They were on time, worked hard every day, communicated well and did a beautiful job. Overall, the whole project came in on budget and ahead of schedule and we're thrilled with our new kitchen!

Renovations are stressful. Kitchens renovations are really stressful but Kate Couchman and the team at NDK are pros and they made this experience as pleasant as a kitchen renovation can get. We did our due diligence and obtained multiple quotes. Frankly, cost was not why we chose the team at NDK. Unless you are a do it yourselfer or plan to act as the general contractor, the costs associated with a project like a kitchen or bath tend to be relatively similar when you compare bids from similar outfits like NDK. What set them apart was the human factor of the team. Kate Couchman, Olivia Kwon, Steve Endress and their team made the difference and made our experience so painless. Kate is a gifted designer who brought our vision to life while staying on budget. Olivia managed the project insuring deadlines were met, deliveries were on time, and followed up to insure we were pleased with the delivery of our kitchen. Steve Endress and his team of skilled craftsman were on time and took pride in their work to insure all aspects of the renovation were done to perfection. Simply put, if you are planning a kitchen or bath renovation get a quote from Kate and the team at NDK. We did and we have a gourmet kitchen, powder room, and pantry to enjoy for years to come and we wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks NDK !!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Nicely Done Kitchens. We partnered with them to undertake a major renovation of our outdated and dysfunctional kitchen. Our designer Jackie created a very smart layout that made the best use of our space. Although we didn’t increase the footprint, the kitchen feels like it doubled in size. Jackie also led us to beautiful design decisions while making us think they were our ideas. We had complete confidence that Steve and his crew would execute the work to the safest and most professional standards, and our project manager Olivia kept everything on schedule. The new kitchen has improved our quality of life, and now we can see ourselves living comfortably in our home for years to come.

My old kitchen had dark cabinets that didn’t go to the ceiling, pink tile floor, backsplash with pictures of fruit, and little natural light.

Kate spent hours with me, helping me decide on a new open layout, stunning white cabinets, satin nickel cabinet pulls, spectacular Silestone Quartz countertops, Brizo faucet and Insta hot. She is knows every aspect of designing a new kitchen, she was obviously delighted to help me.

Olivia managed the project once the work started. She maintained the schedule so the job would be completed on time. One night recently, after dark, she brought supplies that the crew needed the next day. Her actions are kind and thoughtful.

Steve Endress has a calm, confident, reassuring presence with a lifetime of experience. When, in the middle of the project, I asked if I could add new heat/air registers, refinish the stairs, he said “sure.” And most importantly, he hires a great crew, and then treats them well.

Caesar and Jose demolished my old kitchen in one long day. They were careful, and I was able to sell the old cabinets, countertops, appliances. They left the space CLEAN!

Caesar also spackled and painted. I’ve hired a lot of painters in the past. Caesar is the best spackler I’ve experienced. After a wall is painted, it looks flawless.

Wes, our plumber, installed the faucets, dishwasher and gas plumbing. Before he left, he explained what he did and gave me his business card. He said he was confident that he did a good job, but if there were any issues with gas or water, I should call him. (I didn’t need to call!) When, after a few days, my Insta Hot wouldn’t turn off, he determined that the part was faulty, installed new one, and called later that night to be sure everything was ok.

Leo and Luis installed a new, beautiful oak floor in the kitchen, and they stripped and refinished the floors in the dining room, back room, foyer and stairs to the second floor. My floors are perfect. The 65-year old floors look new, and new and old match perfectly. Leo sings happily at the top of his lungs as he kneels and does back breaking work. It was a joy to have him in my house.

Nate, the electrician, is able and knowledgeable. He made a lot of changes to accommodate my new kitchen, and he helped us figure out some of the old wiring that was confusing.

James and Travis installed my cabinets and appliances, and James installed all of the floor and ceiling trim. It looks beautiful. They both gave me helpful pointers on my new drawers.

Juan measured and then cut the quartz countertops. They are the icing that pulls it all together.

Joe Hilferty at ADU in Chantilly, opened the showroom just for me, and he spent hours explaining and helping me pick all new appliances.When the refrigerator door arrived dented, and he said, “it’s under warranty! I’ll get you a new one.” After the kitchen was finished, he came TO MY HOUSE and gave me pointers on each appliance. He is a special man. Buy your appliances from him!

My kitchen is now the beautiful focal point in my house. I feel incredible JOY and happiness when I am in it. I am so lucky to have met Kate, Olivia, Steve, Joe and the team.

Our designer, Jackie, was exceptional. She created a kitchen space for us that is not only stunning but exceptionally functional. After a pre-COVID visit to our home to get to know us and our stuff, she absolutely nailed the initial design and recommendations for cabinetry, the most amazing quartz countertops, focal tile, backsplash tile, mullion cabinet, and an incredible Kohler Prolific sink (you must have one!). We had a few Zoom calls (while sheltering in place) to make adjustments based on our preferences, and Jackie continued to let her creativity improve the initial plan. Steve and his team executed beautifully on the design, taking incredible pride in their work and ensuring we were 100% happy with the final product. We also enjoyed working with the experts at ADU to select appliances. All of this was accomplished safely during a pandemic which speaks to the professionalism of all involved. Thank you so much!

Nicely done kitchens re-modeled my master bathroom and powder room and did an extraordinary job. Working with Cathy and Olivia at Nicely Done Kitchens was a blast, as they always had great ideas to help shape and bring my vision to life (it was like they could read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted after I said Just a few words). If I ever had an issue with the job or A question I could ask Cathy and Olivia for help and it would be addressed immediately. The crew they hired to work on the bathrooms was super nice, respectful of my place, on time, did immaculate work, and always cleaned up after themselves. The final products speak for themselves, and I would gladly recommend and work with Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths again (and probably will).

We recently completed a mudroom/laundry room renovation with Lindsay at Nicely Done Kitchens and one of their trusted contractors. We can't say enough about how easy it was to work with them both. We've done home renovations with other companies in the past, including a full kitchen remodel; this was by far and away the best experience. NDK was organized, responsive, and timely - things that we've learned to highly value when diving into major home projects.

We couldn't be happier with how our new kitchen turned out. Kate C. took our ideas and turned them into a beautiful new kitchen and mudroom (including a dog bath!) -- something even better than we expected. She combined our disparate ideas into something greater than the sum of their parts, demonstrating expertise and a guiding hand.

In addition to leading us through the design stages, Kate made sure everything else ran smoothly. The project remained on or ahead of schedule thanks to her ongoing dedication to the work and her partnership with the contractor and knowledge of vendors. In addition to connecting us with a wonderful contractor, she directed us to an appliance expert who understood our needs and ideas, and who led us to high-end but affordable decisions.

Highly recommend them! We are still in awe of the beautiful kitchen that Kate Couchman designed and Steve & crew built to replace our dated kitchen and never-used dinning room. Easy to work with and very responsive.
Look, I'm a realist...every job will have some hiccups. Nicely Done partnered with us to work through each one. For example, when unexpected duct work prevented us from opening up a wall, Kate spent an afternoon with us moving cardboard around the floor so we could visual new options for the size and direction of our island. The result was a smaller than planned island but we actually loved Kate's idea of creating an additional counterspace and shifting the wine fridge against the wall that remained! Win-win! Steve and his team turned Kate's designs into stunning reality. The result is a kitchen that elicits compliments over and over from family and friends.

Three years ago, my wife and I decided to completely renovate our kitchen. Based on discussions with several neighbors who had used them, and after looking at the work they had done, we were very impressed with a local firm, Nicely Done Kitchens and Bathrooms. After contacting them, we began working with one of their professional designers, Dona Thewes. She listened closely to our ideas, gave us attractive options, and helped us with everything from layout, options for cabinets and appliances, to flooring and color schemes. A significant problem was the nationwide backlog for cabinets and appliances. Dona followed up on our order and kept us up to date throughout the process. Once tear out and construction started, our project supervisor, Scott, brought in skilled craftsmen in the various trades, coordinated their work, and essentially kept us involved in the process. The workers were uniformly pleasant, professional and helpful. Cleanup at the end of each workday left the site orderly and ready for the next day’s work. At one point, after installation of the combined oven and microwave, we found that the height of the microwave in the cabinet was too high for easy use. Together with Dona and Scott, we came up with a good fix and Scott personally came in to execute the alterations, which turned our great. We were thrilled with the finished kitchen and continue to enjoy it every day. We have received numerous compliments from family and friends as to the design, functionality and overall appearance. The finished kitchen is just exactly what we were hoping for. We recently had a realtor look at the house to give us a rough appraisal of its market value. She was extremely impressed with the kitchen and noted that it added significantly to the value of the house—more than we had paid for the installation. At several points during construction, we were called by James, the owner of Nicely Done Kitchens, to discuss progress and to ensure that we were satisfied. The personal involvement at all levels within the company was impressive and it certainly showed in the quality of the finished product. We would enthusiastically recommend Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths and will certainly look to them for any similar upgrades in the future.

It's easy to "trust the process" with Nicely Done Kitchens, as they are professional and care about their customers. We had been wanting to update our 1980s original kitchen with little counter and storage space for quite some time and felt like we won the lottery upon our initial meeting with designer Kate Couchman. By coming to our home to walk through our problem areas and wish list (which also included the flow into our family room and reno of our laundry space) she helped us see the possibilities with her years of experience. Drawings of our space were created and tweaked, cabinet styles and colors chosen and changed. Throughout this entire process, Kate was able to gently fine tune a world of ideas that woke us up at night and help us address and visualize our needs into a beautiful and efficient design.
The reality of the design was implemented by Steve Endress and his team of contractors. The work crews were timely, skilled and clean. When the unexpected happened, they kicked in and got the job done with integrity while keeping an eye on the budget.
Although the project was completed a few months ago, I recently called about an issue with the workstation sink. Within a week, the issue was resolved. Nicely Done Kitchen stands by it's work and please don't let the name fool you, they can do so much more! Thank you again Kate, Steve, Caesar, Sergio and crew for all the wonderful work you did to help us achieve this "dream"!
