5 Star experience from start to finish!! We chose Doña Thewes as our Interior Designer and we could not be happier with her results. She is such a talented designer she turned our tiny bathroom into an expansive spa bathroom. It’s straight out of a luxury spa! Her expertise was also flawless when it came to choosing the contractor Scott and his associate Mitch, plumber Todd and electrician Andy! These guys were on time everyday and never wasted a minute. Everything was scheduled so beautifully, the job was done before we knew it. The whole crew at Nicely Done Kitchens are the best you will find and Doña is so gifted at her craft you can trust her to take your ideas and make magic happen!!
If you’re considering a job, big or small, you will not be disappointed. (I’ve been to two homes that she designed and they were both breathtaking!!). Call Doña!! -
We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen and bath. The craftsmanship is truly high-end, and the attention to detail is flawless. What sets them apart is their genuine kindness and care — they treated our home with respect and made sure every detail was perfect.
Beautiful work, thoughtful service, and an overall exceptional experience. Highly recommend. -
Our dream kitchen is complete and we couldn't be happier. We worked with Kate Couchman on the design and she was lovely. She was upfront about cost, and if I asked her opinion on something, she told me the truth! I really missed her when we weren't meeting with her every week. After her we got to work with Steve Endress the contractor. He also was amazing. So easy to deal with and always available for a question or concern. His crew is top notch and the work they do is incredible. We did a big renovation that included knocking a wall down, putting in new floors and re-doing a powder room.

While we were satisfied with the final outcome of the work done by Nicely Done Kitchens, we were disappointed with the process.
The design phase of the project went smoothly and we appreciated the designer's expertise and guidance. In selecting to work with Nicely Done Kitchens' in house contractor, we were under the impression that the designer would serve as a project manager. Our impression was false. After the bulk of the design work was completed, we heard little from her. Although she responded to emails and gave some recommendations if asked about details like paint color and lighting, she functionally ended her role as a resource for our project when construction began.
The construction phase of the project was estimated to take 12 weeks but ultimately lasted 26 weeks. Some of the delays were outside the contractor's control, like the surprises that crop up when renovating an old house and our county's bureaucratic permit office. However, he was responsible for failing to move our project along in a timely manner and for failing to research our county's permitting requirements in advance. Although he acknowledged and apologized for his part in the delays, he was unable to give us realistic timelines for how the delays would impact our kitchen's completion. As a result, we rescheduled our move in date four times in the space of two months.
Where he could, the contractor compensated us for the delays, but it was frustrating that the delays continued. After the bulk of the work was done, completing the final details continued to take weeks. Communication during this time was poor. We had to consistently reach out to learn when the team would be at our house. Other times, they showed up without notice. The contractor was experiencing health issues at this time, which understandably limited his ability to work. However, our project was not reassigned to anyone else. When we sought support from other staff at Nicely Done Kitchens, particularly our designer, we were told to continue working with the contractor.
After a month without seeing the contractor or his team, we informed Nicely Done Kitchens that we needed to end the contract despite the unfinished work. The contractor called us and told us his boss would want to speak with us, but we never heard from anyone else at the firm.
Perhaps the management and staff has changed since September, but we cannot recommend Nicely Done Kitchens. -
My wife and I interviewed three kitchen designers and ultimately chose Nicely Done Kitchens. The chief reason is we felt the most comfortable with Doña Thewes, our Design Consultant. She was knowledgeable and not pushy. There was no doubt Doña has expertise in space planning and all of the nuances involved. She provided an innovative design, helped navigated all the material options, and educated my wife and me so we could make an informed decision within our budget constraints. W love our kitchen and enthusiastically recommend Nicely Done Kitchens and Design Consultant, Doña Thewes!

We recently had our kitchen renovated and bookshelves built in our family room. We are incredibly happy with the final product as well as the overall experience we had with Nicely Done Kitchens. Cathy is an absolute pro and guided us through the entire process and Steve’s work managing the work was excellent. Our family has used NDK for several major projects over the years and we continue to be extremely satisfied with their professionalism and quality of work.
The project cost was very reasonable and competitive with other quotes we received from similar companies in the area.
Our project work occurred over the winter holidays and NDK still finished the project ahead of schedule. They were accommodating to our personal schedules and did a great job completing large portions of the work when we were out of the house.
We will absolutely work with NDK again on future house projects. Thank you! -
I've had the pleasure of photographing work for several designers at Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths. Each designer is talented, knowledgeable and personable. Their attention to detail shines through in every project, with designs, finishes and fixture choices that are always on point.

Last year, we embarked on a large scale addition/renovation to our home with Nicely Done Kitchens. We couldn't be happier with the process and overall result, thanks to our NDK designer Dona Thewes and contractor Jose Guerva. They knocked it out of the park! Dona took the time to really understand our tastes and desires to create a timeless and functional design in our new kitchen, butler's pantry, and mother-in-law suite. This was done through multiple in-home visits, showroom sessions to hand-select materials, and countless texts/calls to fine-tune our intent and desires. Jose is a master craftsman who ensure speedy and quality work, down to the finest finishing details. The project included pushing out the back wall of our home to add 600 square feet and renovating an already existing 800 square feet. Costs were established early, taking into account all aspects of construction, allowing the project to stay within budget. Communication and timelines were clear and the entire team was attentive during the whole process. Dona, Jose, and the entire NDL team have our strongest endorsement and recommendation! We can't thank them enough for their hard work and the beautiful finished product we get to enjoy every day!
