HEMAX built us a beautiful flagstone patio, walkway, and steps on a concrete base, placed large stone steps on our hill, and set heavy capstones on an existing dry stone wall. They finished the job with lighting and drainage. We were pleased with the services we hired from HEMAX, including the initial design and consultation from Henry, as well as the expert job by the installation crew under Kelvin's supervision. HEMAX was competitive on price with bids from other landscape contractors, and we found the quality of their proposal and their work to be top-notch.

Hemax did an incredible job with a complete revamp of our backyard, to include a new deck, patio, stone work with beautiful retaining walls, stone steppers and more. The materials and workers were incredibly efficient and professional and the work is beautiful. Henry and Hemax Construction & Landscaping are amazing. I had serious drainage issues in my front yard. I met with Henry and explained my issues. He asked a lot of follow up questions to confirm my water issues and to understand what I envisioned for my yard. He provided multiple options for improving the drainage and transforming my yard on the spot. Over the next few weeks, we exchanged emails and phone calls. His attention to detail & knowledge of drainage solutions helped me understand my options and create a plan for my yard.

We had a great experience working with Henry and the rest of the Hemax team. We needed our patio redone, as the old one had sunk and was not draining properly. Not only was Henry fantastic in working with our HOA to get the project moving along quickly, but he also continuously came by to check on the job and ensure the work was top notch. I can’t say enough good things about HEMAX. As we were preparing to sell our house, we discovered some cracks in our foundation. HEMAX came in and did an amazing job repairing it and reinforcing it and did it very quickly because they know we wanted to get the house on the market. It involved a lot of craftsmen and the quality was superb. Max and Henry are very responsive and courteous and we decided to add a few more tasks to the project while they were on site. Plus, they are installing a sprinkler system and patio at our new house. Their quotes for these two projects were below two others that we got so I know it’s a good value for work that is done really well.

HEMAX Construction Services and Landscaping provided excellent customer service, pricing, and final results. Per a neighbor’s recommendation, we reached out to HEMAX for a quote. HEMAX offered a reasonable proposal for clearing several above ground stumps and the overgrown vegetation’s underground roots, scraping and regrading the sloped topography to flatten but maintain proper drainage, and installing new fescue sodding of our large side yard. Despite a couple customer increased-scope change orders, the project manager, Henry, patiently and expeditiously provided expert advice for accomplishing the desired result and submitted reasonable invoice updates. Once the 2-day project began, Henry, the work crew, and required equipment started on time every day, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up at the end of the day’s work. The company exceeded our expectations in the quality of the final project, the thoroughness of the crew from beginning to clean up, and their professionalism in communicating and scheduling. We will absolutely call them first for any future projects.

Had a brick walkway installed, a gutter downspout drainage line installed, and some grout lines in my front stoop fixed. Can't say enough for the HeMax team. Great work by all! I'd definitely call on them again.

Hemax just completed a large installation of artificial turf on the playgrounds of one of our schools in Ashburn, VA. The job was professionally handled. No corners were cut, and the team and the supervisors made sure that the job was well done and issues-free. We are very pleased with the results.

My old retaining wall was a couple pieces of wood, which was deteriorating. Chip was really helpful in helping to design what the new retaining wall would look like and answering all my questions. I'd definitely use them again in the future!

HeMax was truly 5-star! Throughout the entire process they were reliable, kind and straightforward. The landscaping and patio work was top notch - professional, precise, high quality and beautiful.

We used HEMAX for multiple services. They built a large 3 Season room with a stone fireplace. Their stone and woodwork is exceptional. We love the room and use it daily throughout the year. HEMAX built a beautiful stone wall around our large oak tree - several neighbors had them built as well. They installed a split rail fence, a stone patio for our barbecue and fire pit and a stone walkway - all beautiful. When the electric company destroyed our yard, HEMAX graded and sodded our back and side yards. It looks great and blended into the rest of the yard well. They preformed tree and shrub trimming and Spring cleanup that includes cutting all beds and mulching. The management team is very professional and aims to please. They made great suggestions and helped us through the decision process. Their carpenters and stone masons are very talented. Their work crews are friendly, hard working and excellent at leaving the work area perfectly clean when finished. After seeing the completed projects at our house and yard, other family members and neighbors have used HEMAX and were very pleased that they did.
