Our deck looks amazing. From our consultations to the building of the deck, the whole team was very professional. Manuel and his team did an amazing job with constructing our deck. We will continue to use them for our future projects.

Steadfast did a great job. They were honest and transparent and I would highly recommend them. Jack and Brandon were easy to work with and very professional. Carlos did an awesome job on the deck and it looks great!!!

Steadfast recently built a 16x23 deck for us. It required tearing down the old one and building a new one from scratch. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. James in sales was a pleasure to work with; flexible to modify specs per our needs. Office was efficient with the permitting process. The build team was also very good, real pros - the whole job was done in ~7 days. Jack their owner was also very good to work with. Overall an excellent experience. I'd hire them again

Unfortunately, the following was filed with the BBB.
Facts of our Project:
• We want to point out that Mirko & Jose (carpenters) did an amazing job. They are both extremely professional and produce a high-quality product when they are onsite. Because of this, we were more than happy that Mirko & Jose worked on some additional projects for us directly.
• Work order was executed on July 31, 2017 for a $100K+ Screened Porch with a start date of 9-10 weeks from execution and a project completion date of 3-4 Weeks.
• Work began on October 30, 2017
• Last Draft of $6000 was requested on January 13, 2018 when the project was still not completed.
• We agreed to pay 50% of final draft ($3,000) on January 14, 2018 and hold back the other $3,000 until porch was stained (weather permitting), barn doors fixed, and fireplace/roofing stopped leaking.
• Steadfast was informed in writing of the fireplace/roof leaking on January 12th, January 28th, February 13th, March 5th, June 21st, and August 9th
• Steadfast was informed in writing of the custom barn doors (3) not working properly on January 12th, April 11th, June 21st, and August 9th
• Mirko (the lead Carpenter) reached out through text on Wednesday April 11th at roughly 2pm to schedule staining the porch floor on Thursday April 12th. We had to ask them to reschedule since the floor needs 48 hours to dry and we were already hosting an event that weekend, which would utilize the porch.
• After not hearing anything from Steadfast for over two +months we finally reached out on June 25th to find out when we would be scheduled to get our floor stained, fireplace/roof fixed so it’s not leaking, and the barn doors in working condition.
• This was the response we received from Steadfast on June 25th “We've got Santo's and Mirko now booked solid the next month plus. As soon as their available, we'll reach out.” and “Mirko is now on a $178,000 project in Great Falls that must be completed by 07/24 and Santos is now 2 weeks behind, on a month's worth of projects that already had been scheduled, due to the rain. As stated, as soon as one is available, we'll schedule you.” and “UPDATE: As of this time Mirko may be available early August...weather permitting.”
• We are not sure how these projects have anything to do with or impact our project which began on October 30th of 2017.
• After receiving these responses on June 25th we have patiently waited for Steadfast to reach back out, hoping for the best.
• Since we haven’t heard anything since June 25th while constantly checking our junk/spam folders just in case, we reached back out to Steadfast on August 9th, 10th, and 11th with no response from either Owner (Jack/Ken), the general office email, nor the Project Manager (Mirko).
• This project was expected per the Work Order to be 3-4 weeks. It wasn’t, things run over, and a Change Order (one) occurred, we are completely fine and expected as much schedule wise. What we didn’t expect was for work to wrap up January 13th and for them to walk away from a project with a roof that leaks, barn doors that don’t work, and a floor unstained. This is exactly why we were hesitant to pay 50% of the last draft but did so in good faith.
• Pictures of the fireplace that was built as part of our project were uploaded to represent a fireplace that was never sealed, and therefore the rain permeates the entire fireplace from top to bottom.
DESIRED OUTCOME/RESOLUTION: Steadfast stain our floor, fix the barn doors so they are in working condition, and repair the leaking roof/fireplace as contracted on July 31, 2017. The fact that we’ve had a roof leaking for 7 months with little to no concern is perplexing. -
We have used Steadfast on two major projects. One was a front porch that wrapped around the side of our house and an addition that connects to the front porch. The addition sits on a stone foundation, has panoramic views of our property, hardwood floors, stone fireplace, and it's own AC/heating system.
We are so happy with the results that we have just signed a 3rd contract with Steadfast to extend our Master bedroom and master bath.
Our builder was Nelson on both projects and his work is superb.
Our Project manager on the job was the Owner Jack who has been fantastic.
I highly recommend that if you are considering a major exterior project on your home you call Steadfast. You will not be disappointed. -
We contracted with Steadfast Construction to refresh our outdoor living space including patio and pergola. From start to finish of the project the team was exceptional! Everyone at Steadfast was a pleasure to work with, Mirco and his team built an outdoor living space that we will enjoy for years to come.

We had our 12 y/o deck flooring, railings and stairs rebuilt. We are very pleased with the work. The entire process from our initial meeting, planning and completion of work was amazing! The crew took great care not to cut any corners and made sure the results looked great and the way we envisioned. They showed up when they said they would and kept the site clean. No horror stories here. The entire Steadfast team was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We definitely recommend Steadfast to anyone looking for deck work. The quality and workmanship is fantastic!

We had a great experience having a large screened porch and grill deck built by Steadfast. There were some significant delays getting started (mostly due to COVID impacting county permitting), but Rene worked diligently, had great attention to detail, and the quality of construction seems quite high. I really appreciate the finishing detail they put in crown molding, wrappings, and the ceiling. Kenny and Omar with their management are very involved throughout the process, and we felt comfortable with payment throughout the process. I would certainly recommend this company, who handled all aspects of design and construction (e.g., scheduling an electrician and a plumber for gas), over trying to go with independent contractors yourself.

Great job! Steadfast built a new deck for us last Fall and I would highly recommend them. Crew is polite, punctual, hard working pros who know what they are doing. I enjoyed working with them and appreciated their attention to detail. Project was on time and the team was onsite everyday focused on doing the work. We also had pavers put in surrounding both sides of the deck. We continuously get compliments on the look and quality of the deck. The work was done in Oct 2016 and the weather turned cold, so I am really looking forward to enjoying on our deck this spring and summer. I finally got around to writing this review, because I am a procrastinator.! Overall project cost was $15,000 and well worth it.

This was a total deck replacement. The sales person was very responsive and attentive to all my requests. The builders were very professional and thorough, with an eye for detail and solidity. I had to pay some supplements to deal with old water infiltration issues in the house walls and because I wanted to have some posts standing on concrete above grade. Overall a very positive experience, and the end result is great!
A few negative points: (1) They promised to call Miss Utility, but failed to do so. (2) They forgot to cover the outside A/C unit upon arrival and it got very dusty during demolition the first day, which is bad for the compressor. (3) The boss of the deck builders came to visit to inspect the work; when I joined him in our garden after putting on my mask, he laughed at me saying that there isn't such a thing as Covid 19... "It's all a hoax"! I got in a rage and gave him a piece of my mind. It's very unprofessional to make such statements to a customer while entering without a mask inside someone else's property. I told him to stick to his task of inspecting the works and that finally calmed him down. -
We had a great experience working with Steadfast Construction in designing and building our new sunroom and deck. James Clark, our first point of contact met with us in listening to our ideas and creating the room and deck. He also recommended the construction team that he thought would be the best fit for our project. We are 100% satisfied with the project and it has become my happy place.

I had Steadfast Construction build a flagstone walkway on the side of my house and a flagstone patio in the rear, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The craftsmanship is absolutely wonderful, and the final product has exceeded my expectations. The walkway adds charm and functionality to the side of my house, while the patio has become my favorite spot to relax and enjoy outdoor living. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly dedicated to delivering high-quality work. I highly recommend Steadfast Construction for anyone looking to enhance their home with beautiful and durable stonework. They've truly transformed my space, and I'm thrilled with the outcome.

We could not be more pleased with the Sunroom and deck we had built with Steadfast Construction from beginning to end of my project.
Co-owner Jack helped us craft a unique design for our Sunroom and gave us a couple great ideas to add light which worked great. They stopped by our job site multiple times to ensure the design was right and the construction was progressing as planned. 'And, they kept me informed during the whole process. Our construction manager Nelson was outstanding!! His attention to detail was amazing throughout the entire job. He kept the job site clean throughout the project and I could tell he truly cared about the quality of his work. He even suggested alternative design ideas based on his many years of experience which worked well. The subcontractors for fireplace, electrical, and painting were also great to work with and did a beautiful job. The project took longer than expected mostly due to window delays, but never was an issue. Steadfast and their crew of people are just a top-notch! We are spending every minute we can on our new sunroom and loving it. -
We hired Steadfast to completely demolish our old deck and build a new Trex deck with a screened-in porch plus a patio. So, a big job.
By the way, Steadfast was the ONLY company we found in NOVA that figured out a way to situate the porch under a box window that jutted out. Other companies refused to take it on, and we were worried it might look awkward, but it looks amazing!
I have seen some reviews complaining of headaches, and while we did have some of these and the project was delayed and took longer than expected, we are completely happy with the results.
The craftsmanship is top-notch -- they absolutely built us the most beautiful porch and deck imaginable. They also came out and replaced some boards that got damaged when some bricks from the chimney hit the deck during a job by someone else.
Communication within the company could use a little smoothing -- for instance it didn't always seem the designers/draftsman were communicating with the people doing the actual work. Or maybe it was vice versa. Hard to tell. Stuff like a dumpster popping up out of nowhere was kind of par for the course, and the dumpster guy who knocked on our door at 9 pm to come collect it (but was at the wrong address) sure wanted to talk politics when we just wanted to talk about the deck. He wasn't an employee of Steadfast, though. I noticed myself that the deck was being built at the wrong height because they did not excavate, so that didn't match the plans, but we all came up with a compromise. It was also sometimes hard to get in touch with the people who could make the calls we needed to have made. However, the company did eventually respond to any concern we had and they wanted to be sure that we were happy with the job.
The porch is our new favorite place in the house -- and Steadfast did not cut corners! All wood is wrapped with PVC and kept from being exposed to the elements. They added decorative details that did not have to be added that made their work stand out. They used good-quality materials.
The pavers for the patio don't seem to be the color we ordered (or the color advertised at least) but it's OK, it still looks great and is extremely well-built.
So, if you go with Steadfast, I promise you will get absolutely amazing craftsmanship, literally to the point of actual art -- but yeah, you might have some frustrations, too. But if it's a big project, some frustrations are to be expected, I think. Best bet is to just stay patient through the process and keep the big picture and end result in mind. They absolutely know their craft! -
I highly recommend that anyone considering hiring Steadfast for any project look elsewhere. They are extremely unprofessional and do not understand how to treat customers. Their deck work has been good in my experience however their fence work is poor. They also do not pay attention to details and appear to lack the ability to accurately plan and schedule projects.
I hired Steadfast to construct a Fence in my Front and back yards, add a bottom step to my front porch steps, and add a lattice privacy screen and lattice enclosure to the underneath area of my deck and it was the project from hell for me. When I started out all I wanted was a fence to keep my dogs safe and my daughter happy and I am left with an ugly, poorly constructed fence and each time I look at it I am reminded of the hellish process getting here. What makes it even worse is that I can’t even let my dogs in the backyard unsupervised because there is a gap between the section of fence that Steadfast built and the pre-existing fence on that side of the house.
Steadfast failed to obtain the necessary permits, they consulted a sketch of my yard instead of the official plat when initially placing the fence and failed to pay attention to detail when constructing the fence and deck. The project was full of errors at every turn and I experienced the rude and unprofessional customer service from the Owners throughout the life of the project. More details are in my Angie's list review and screen shots are included where one of the Owner's, Kenny Krogman, is threatening to sue me and put a lien on my property because he is too lazy to craft a proper invoice and send it in the mail.
Prior to the start of the work I gave them an out from the project and I wish that they would have taken me up on canceling the contract so that I could hire a professional fence company to do the job. They don't even have a really bookkeeper/accountant and think that inserting a few line items in an email constitutes a final invoice. -
Steadfast was great to work with. Rene's team did an excellent job! We had Steadfast remove a deck, replace it with a screened in porch; reface a small deck with trex; and build an additional deck with some custom privacy screening! Our POC left the company midway through the project but Jack picked right up where he left off and was great to work with. Very affordable, easy to work with, and great quality! Highly recommend!

Deck replacement. Well worth the wait to have Steadfast as your contractor. The build quality was exceptional, very tight clean joints/cuts. German our carpenter/builder is exceptional. His years of experience and knowledge are clearly showcased by the craftsmanship. Overall the project went smoothly and the few issues were addressed quickly. Looking forward to chilling and grilling! If you are looking for a high quality build call Steadfast and ask for German as your builder!

Steadfast built a sunroom, deck and patio for me. I had a very pleasant experience working with them. Nick helped me with choosing what I wanted and reviewed the designs with me. Mirko and Jose did a great job with everything. They both were very responsive to any questions or concerns I expressed. I couldn’t be happier with the final project. The whole process went smoothly from the demolition of my old deck all the way through to the completion and cleanup. Ken was very attentive throughout the process checking in and stopping by multiple times. I highly recommend using Steadfast.

We are so pleased with our screened in porch and deck combination. We had been defrauded by a previous deck builder and were armed with lessons learned in doing this new build with Steadfast. They exceeded our expectations with permitting, starting when they said they would, demolition of the old deck, construction, finishing, painting and electrical subcontractors, clean up and timeliness. We were happy with the work from Omar in the office, Nick, as our stand-in sales rep, and especially Rene, as our crew chief. We chose to work with Steadfast mainly because we have envied our next door neighbor’s porch for 17 years which was built by Steadfast and looks as beautiful as it did its first year. Additionally, they were flexible with the materials we could choose to keep the project costs within our budget.

We had a great experience with Steadfast. Before choosing them for our deck and screened in porch project we met with approximately 10 different companies. Steadfast stood out from the crowd, and while they weren’t the cheapest (or highest!) we couldn’t be happier with our choice.
James did an excellent job not only working with us to understand what we wanted, especially with an ask related to an ADA compliant ramp in a tight space, but also communicating promptly and thoroughly, asking for clarification and stopping by for in person meetings when I wasn’t quite able to cover what I wanted with words and pictures. He also offered great design suggestions and helped us figure out how to get the most value for our dollar.
Towards the end of the project James coordinated with the siding company we were working with to ensure there was a seamless connection between the new screened porch and the new siding, including working with the other company to resolve a communication breakdown resulting in a design issue.
Franklin and his crew were efficient and easy to work with as well. We’d highly recommend Steadfast to anyone looking for deck or porch companies in this area!!! -
Ariana, our sales representative did a great job in explaining the scope of the work and assisting with the various options for our new Deck
Omar Ruiz was our go to person throughout the construction. His response to every question was exceptional and timely. He made the process run smoothly and was very pleasant to deal with.
My experience with this project with Steadfast was awesome.
Thank you again Omar!
