Need more employees with plant knowledge. I got 2 different answers about the warranty on plants and trees. I wanted to get some landscaping services done but no one there seemed to be able to answer questions. Not any better than the big box stores like home depot and Lowe's. Decent selection but much of the stock looked like it had seen better days. I know it's summer but the live goods need more attention and more consistent watering.

Very nice boutique garden center. Similar to Plow and Hearth but much more practical and much better variety. Very nice store layout, beautiful flower displays, and excellent atmosphere. There's even a café bistro attached and outdoor seating. If you're tired of all the souvenir shops, come here and pamper your senses. There's something for everyone! The only negative is that the music was turned up a little high for those of you with sensory processing concerns.

This was my first time visit to Anderson's. I thought I would see some beautiful plants and gorgeous pottery which I did. What I did not expect was a woman's and men's Boutique filled with clothes that you can't find anywhere else. The decorating section seemed like I had entered a Home Goods store with high end beachy and outdoor furniture . We decided to stay for dinner at The Sage Restaurant . The meal was not only delicious, the portions were heaping which satisfied my hungry husband. The whole atmosphere was charming and the staff engaged us in a polite way. We even got to speak to the president of the company, Jason , who was busy overseeing on a Sunday!! Now that's impressive. The only downside is we do not have one of these in Chesapeake!!!

Nice place and full of many things there. There's a lot to look at and buy for the yard. The plants are so healthy and beautiful. There is a play area for the family, kids play area to. They have a small restaurant and many drinks.

Always super happy getting food here. You always have a favorite place that might get 4 meals right and the 5th is slightly off. Sage kitchen always hits the mark. They really put thought into all of the items on their menu. My wife and I decided to have lunch, Mike, was a cool dude and made us feel at home grabbing a few drinks at the bar before and after lunch.

If you like plants this is a cool place to look through their inventory where they have people constantly tending to take care of the nursery. They are really helpful as well.

Look to find out if they have live music because they do this as well. It's on their Instagram.

Sage Kitchen just hosted my retirement ceremony/celebration event on 7 May 2021. They exceeded my expectations in every possible way. The restaurant looked incredible, the staff were attentive, friendly, and fun, the food was amazing as usual. Marina is a true professional and she will make sure your event is spectacular. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was top notch. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Rude associate that would not give me cash for an item I received as a gift which still has tags attached and I had the receipt. I didn’t want store credit as I live 30 minutes away.

I’ve experienced Anderson’s while at the heated heights of mother’s day™️ and when it’s near empty on a thursday mid afternoon lull. both times I can attest to the friendly, lovely service and attention to detail from the staff AND actually good food! birria tacos went on special and i found myself thanking the chef personally! great space to get lost in, contemplate the atmosphere and get curious abt the foliage. 10/10, phenomenal job!

We are from southwest Ga and do not have cool things like this in our area. This place was awesome! I would have never thought about putting all these things together. It was an awesome experience all around! I bought some plants, looked at all the fantastic pottery, purchased some cool items in the store and enjoyed a drink at the bar....and the fried pickles were the best I have ever had!

Anderson's - which is where the Sage Kitchen Restaurant is located - is awesome. It's a home and garden store - but so much more!

They have some nice beachwear for women with shoes, accessories like purses, sunglasses, perfume, jewelry, hats, etc. And this is high-end stuff too, like fancy resort wear and clothing and nice jewelry and other goods. It's unexpected in an outdoor store.

They have a small men's section mostly with swim trunks, shoes and flip flops and some hats. Not as much as the ladies.

They also have coastal home decor and decorative items for the home and a bunch of outdoor decor and planter goodies.

The star of the show is the outdoor florals, huge selection of planters in all sizes, and greenhouse overflowing with beautiful, healthy flowers and plants.

They also have a small mini-golf in back for kids and adults as well as a small arcade - this all ties into the full-size restaurant inside serving delicious foods and drinks with Lolly's to-go ice cream as well.

It's like an entire afternoon of fun here.

Anderson’s is my go to for most of my plants. They are little bit more in price than others, but the quality is great. My kids can even play once we have found what we needed. The employees are always super helpful too which is a plus!

This is a very nice and clean garden center. Prices are reasonable/typical. It is large and has a nice selection of plants as well as a large retail area with garden related items including utility, decorations, hard scales, higher end garden clothes and shoes/boots.

My big complaint is that for a high-end appearing place, the staff was scarce and uninformed/untrained. I had to search out one older man (that I was directed to find) who actually couldn’t help me to find “epiphytes”. Maybe that’s a little obscure, but something I’d expect a horticulturalist to know.

Overall I would go back there to shop for plants and related items, but I wouldn’t expect much help or knowledgeable help.

Fun shop to walk around with the family, place for the kids to explore and play, food and drinks although we did not get any

Every person working there was very nice and helpful, but my problem was with the fall festival. They market it as free admission but you can't participate in anything without purchasing tickets. Way to be sneaky. It is $5 per ticket and everything costs 1-2 tickets. If it is not really free, just be up front about it so we expect it. Everything was expensive, too. I paid $10 for a plain hot dog and a bag of chips with a bottle of water. Another $10 for a cup of ice cream after my kid tripped and hurt himself. After all the money I spent today, we should have just gone to Hunt Club. What a waste.

They have a large selection of flowers, shrubs, hanging plants, trees and flower pots. There is also a boutique with a good selection of clothes and jewelry. We especially enjoy the cafe. They have a great chicken salad croissant along with several other really great choices. You can eat inside or out. It’s very clean there which is also appreciated.

This place is really cool and has a plethora of great options. Unfortunately the plants are in such poor condition they clearly do not take care of them. I really wanted to love this place but I left extremely disappointed.

My wife and I recently made a 30-minute drive to Anderson’s Garden Center after seeing a promotion for 20% off perennials. We had planned to pick up a Golden Barrel Cactus, some potting mix, and browse the rest of the selection while we were there.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The plant selection was underwhelming and not as robust as I remember from past visits. Many of the plants looked neglected, with dry soil despite visible irrigation systems—and this during peak spring season. It gave the impression that the plants weren't being properly cared for.

While browsing the cacti, a staff member approached and asked if we needed help. I asked a few questions, but it was obvious she didn’t have much knowledge and was guessing at her answers. I moved on and selected a cactus on my own.

The main issue—and the reason I’m leaving this review—was the misleading sale signage and misinformation at checkout. When we were being rung up by a cashier (receipt lists the name as “OEL”), my wife asked if we got the sale price on the cactus. The cashier confirmed yes, so I tapped my card and paid.

As we were leaving, I reviewed the receipt and noticed the discount wasn’t applied at all. My wife went back in to speak with a manager, who told her that the cactus wasn’t on sale because it “isn’t a perennial.” This was news to us—and completely inaccurate. The Golden Barrel Cactus is a perennial, as confirmed by the care plaque in their own greenhouse and literally every horticultural reference online. The manager doubled down, saying they don’t consider it one.

This is incredibly misleading. It’s like advertising 20% off fruit trees, then saying a lemon tree isn’t included because you don’t consider it a fruit tree. If exclusions apply, they should clearly say “select perennials”—not mislead customers with a blanket statement.

I’m not sure what’s been happening with Anderson’s lately, but the quality of their offerings and customer service has declined noticeably. From our interaction with the manager, I think mismanagement is the culprit.

I recently visited Anderson Nursery and was underwhelmed by their overpriced products and mostly unknowledgeable staff. Despite their claims, the staff seemed uncertain about plant care and selection.

Key Issues:
1. *Overpriced Products*: The prices were significantly higher than what I've seen elsewhere, including London Bridge Greenhouse.

2. *Limited Support*: No warranties were offered for plants planted in the ground, leaving me without recourse if issues arise.

3. *No Military Discount*: The lack of a military discount was disappointing, especially given the high prices.

Better Alternative:
In contrast, London Bridge Greenhouse offers a wider selection, knowledgeable staff, competitive pricing, plant warranties, and a military discount. I'd recommend exploring other options before visiting Anderson Nursery.

Entered the cafe area Sage something or other greeted by a sign stating the specials and to grab a menu, wandered around for a few minutes to no host or hostess no waiter or waitress, finally just sat down, few more minutes pass by and a young woman looking confused asked us if we wanted to order, I replied yes we would like to order.

The Taco of the day, twice please, drinks? Sweet tea and a water, asks me for my card.. Uh sure here ya go..

Brings out the tea and water, I guess I should have specified we would like ice with the drinks. I figured it was included but I guess I learned something.

Over a half hour passes and a girl comes from left field asks if we ordered the tacos.... We were one of two groups of people in the place, yes we ordered the tacos.

My tacos featured fried tortillas and nearly nothing inside, the other tacos we're soft tortillas again almost nothing in them.

I can think of a great many ways I would've rather spent $50.

Unless you know something we don't know, there's better places all around to grab a bite to eat.

My son bought tickets for us for a succulent and spritzer class for my birthday. I was so excited! I traveled 3 hours and paid for a dog sitter to visit Virginia Beach for this class with my son. It happened to snow so they canceled. They did not refund any money to my son for the two classes! We both had plans for the ONLY weekend that they wanted to reschedule. Very bad customer service! Please be aware if you happen to buy tickets for an event there! They are not understanding at all.
