We had some work that needed a quick estimate bc of being an emergent matter and they called me back quickly, and sent someone out same day. Their tech Leslie was efficient, professional and super nice!

Shavons Team is impeccable at what they do for our office. Not only is our facility extremely clean but their customer service is top notch. We have used multiple companies over the years and ServiceMaster- Virginia Beach is by far the BEST. Highly recommended giving this team a try!

We are so so very happy with this company. They worked with my insurance company from the demolition through the repairs. Wouldn't even let me pay them my deductible until the insurance company paid it's part. Our problem stemmed from an a/c leak in the unit above us. A portion of 2 walls was taken down to the studs. A portion of the ceiling was taken down to the subceiling. All of the workman/women were friendly and professional and worked without a break. The project manager, Vance Van Horn, was wonderful and was on top of everything throughout the process. They painted the whole room as well as all of the ceiling. This I did not expect. I cannot say enough good about this company and all of their employees. Thank you all so much.

You won’t find a more genuine company who is as fair and does a great job. Good people, would trust J&M with any cleaning need!

Things were acceptable, not impressive, until our regular lead cleaner quit. Then they ruined our island countertop with the wrong cleaner, left pee at the base of the toilet (we have three young sons), and continue to charge us an outrageous cancellation fee for months after we asked them to stop coming. I thought a big company, licensed and insured, would be better than someone running a small, local business but I was so very wrong. The independent lady we had come after Merry Maids did SO MUCH more and for less.

I am very pleased with the team who cleaned my father's house. They were able to get everything thoroughly cleaned that I asked for, and in the amount of time we agreed upon. They were very pleasant and courteous. April and Lisa work well together, looking after each others needs. In my opinion that is the key to their success, to work as a team. Not everyone does!

If I could give a less than one star review, I would. I don't generally review companies online, however I felt this was necessary. We just arrived to our new home, and our landlord had mentioned that it was deep cleaned professionally prior to our move in (as was the agreement). We could tell immediately it was NOT cleaned- at all (and have many photos to prove as much). The bath tubs were dirty, there was mold and left over food particles in the fridge, the stove hadn't been touched, etc. We thought maybe that the landlord had a miscommunication with the cleaning company, and they didn't come, except we found a handwritten note on a pamphlet from Merry Maids employee, Destiny, that stated all she had cleaned. To say we (landlord included) were disappointed, and completely frustrated is an understatement. Fortunately, City Cleaners were able to fit us in last minute (they came at 1030PM!!) to deep clean the home, and City Cleaners did an amazing job.

I have been using MerryMaids Virginia Beach for almost 6 months and I cant imagine my life without them now. The amount of stress they have taken off my plate just by taking the task of cleaning for me every other week has been amazing.
My husband and I no longer bicker about cleaning and for that I couldn't put a price on this company haha.
The staff is timely,productive, friendly and amazing at what they do.
I have recommended them to everyone I talk to and will continue to do so.
Kristina and Tiffany are my top gals and always make me feel my house is in good hands. I've also had the pleasure of having Nicole clean as well and they all are wonderful.

The ladies that came and cleaned my home were above and beyond sufficient, and very detailed! My daughter even came in and said mom, the house is magical! Everything is shining, and it smells so clean ! Top to bottom everything was spotless and dust free! Couldn’t have asked for a better Team! Highly recommend.

Alittle strange at first allowing a stranger stay at my house to clean, but, from the moment Josie came into the house, I knew she was a comfortable match for us. She was just a friendly as can be (and my dog loves her) and just as professional. When I did return home, i was pleasantly surprised how clean my house was. She did a miraculous job and looks as if she went above and beyond which shows that she cares about her job and her customers! We called the company and requested that Josie be our regular. They said "no problem". Go with Merry Maids of Virginia Beach. Definitely ask for Josie!!!!!

Our family has used the Merry Maids of Virginia Beach for over a decade. We are so happy with them. They come every two weeks to do a general cleaning. They are always friendly and professional and do a great job for us. They do a thorough cleaning. Their price is reasonable (for the first ten years, there was no price increase, and only recently did they go up slightly).

MaryAnn was so very kind and calm. She was very sweet to my little kitties and puppy even! Spectacular service, she took her time, and the little things like making the bed in the bedroom go a long way! Thank you so much. I highly recommend Maryann from Merry Maids Virginia Beach!

Montana deserves 5 stars! She is fantastic. I think overall Merry Maids is a great service. They are priced a bit higher than what I have paid in the past in other areas. That’s my only reason for not giving 5 stars. They’re reliable and get the job done, though!

I had initially given a higher rating after the cleaning but after some thought I believe 3 is sufficient for the service I received.

Everyone was nice and professional but overall I wasn’t pleased with the quality of the work and their inability to send a team. I was advised that they only use solo vendors but I had a feeling we were going to need more than one person. In hindsight I should have followed my gut.

I advised 4 or more hours might be necessary. My parents are disabled and elderly so their home needed a special touch.

Josie arrived on time. I’d sent pictures of the place ahead of time and was advised by customer service (I believe her name was Nicole) to make a list of everything I needed done.

I gave Josie the list (as instructed) and she decided to start in the kitchen. A few minutes after starting she went to the restroom (I assumed to use it but now I think maybe she went in there to call customer service to tell them that the place was more than she had anticipated or could handle alone and they told her to do the best she could)

After she came out that’s when the list of things she WOULD NOT be able to do started. She told me she couldn’t clean the oven because she hadn’t been told she would have to clean the oven ahead of time and she didn’t have the supplies for that. This was odd to me because if they told me to make a list ahead of time shouldn’t the cleaner be prepared to handle whatever is on the list? Cleaning the oven isn’t a unique task in cleaning a home and should be pretty standard.

Long story short she spent the entire 4 hours in the kitchen and said she couldn’t do the rest of the apartment. She said I would have to make another appointment to have the rest of the place cleaned.

The work she did in the kitchen was just okay. But there were obvious areas she’d missed. Like the hood over the stove and she didn’t clean the wall beside the stove or the obvious space between the stove and the wall where food had fallen.

I can’t say I’d use them again. I feel I’d done all they asked me to do in order to prepare.

1) I requested more than one person (they said they could not)

2) I made it clear that it wasn’t a 2 hour job

3) I sent images of all the rooms that needed to be cleaned 3-4 days ahead of my appointment

4) I provided a list of all the things I needed done for each room (as they requested)

Yet in the end, 4 hours was spent in the kitchen alone and I was told to make another appointment to clean the rest of the apartment.

Again everyone was perfectly professional I just think their communication and ability to assess what is needed to properly clean, at least for us, was extremely lacking. I don’t know what else I could have done to prepare them.

On January 5, 2024, Merry Maids reached out to address my concerns, but currently, I'm not inclined to engage in further discussions to arrange another cleaning session.

I have used Merry Maids in Virginia Beach for over 20 years. They always send a great team, but recently Ebony has been cleaning our home. She cleans our house with such care and thoroughness. It is clear that she takes great pride in her work. She is a pleasure to be a part of our family.
