Where to begin...
We recently purchased a foreclosed home with a massive pool that was closer to a swamp than anything. I had three companies come out and quote me, David being the first. His quote was the lowest, he was the most responsive, and he has worked day and night with me for weeks to get this thing right. As of today, we are still not 100% done with the project, but I am comfortable enough with the progress to say that this family business is what makes family businesses so promising in America. My sincerest thanks to the ongoing work and relationship with David and his son. Simply put, this guy knows his shit, is honest, is kind, is responsive, and has gained our business as long as we have a pool. There is a lot of bullshit in this industry. You are doing yourself a disservice calling anyone else but David Greer. Thank you, friend.

How fortunate was I to meet David Greer and his team! The pricing was fair and straightforward. Most important was David's commitment to bringing my pool back to life while holding to the agreed timeline (before my daughter's wedding ). As long as I have a pool and Virginia Certified Pools are in business, there is no need to go anywhere else.

Highly recommend VA Certified Pools. They removed and reinstalled our liner, installed a new cooling/heating unit, converted our pool to saltwater with a Hayward salt cell, and updated all the PVC plumbing around the filter. Everything was completed professionally and with great care. We also purchased a premium pool cover and a Dolphin robot through them — both excellent additions.

I plan to use VA Certified Pools for winterization going forward and when we upgrade our filter from sand to glass. Great experience overall.

David quickly identified the problem and suggested the most economical solution. I scheduled an appointment and he and his son made the repair. In addition, he answered all my questions and demonstrated how to properly use the new equipment. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the pool and the related equipment. Virginia Certified Pool measured for and installed a custom fit pool cover on our pool that is currently not in use. David responded to my texts in a professional and timely manner. We are very pleased with the results.

Our experience with David was nothing short of amazing! We used the company for pool maintenance, liner replacement and a LOT of small pool jobs along the way. When called initially for an estimate, he promptly came to our property to give estimate and information about the process.
He measured the pool area that needed to be replaced on the same day requested and ordered our material the next day. His work is also warranted.
He was very prompt, organized and professional every step of the way, I highly recommend. Our pool is beautiful because of him. Thank you again David it was a pleasure! We will continue to use this company for our pool needs.

David gave us incredibly fast, honest, high quality and reasonably priced work. Our pool equipment broke down, all at once and unexpectedly soon before we had guests coming. He was the quickest to respond, and kept us involved and informed every step of the way. Everything works great and he stands behind his work. I would definitely use VA Certified Pool next time I have an issue and recommend to friends.

Not impressed with David. I saw how many great reviews he had but I should have checked other places, as well, like Yelp. We were having an issue with one of our valves leaking. He asked for a pic. I sent him one immediately after we hung up, he asked for another one from a different angle which I sent and then the guy just never responded. So 4 hrs later I text him and say so do you have experience with tightening the valve and right away he responds “no and that plumbing is crazy”. We moved into the house and it’s been like this for years and we never owned a pool before so we don’t know. He could have been more helpful in his responses but instead was kind of rude. Said he would have to replace all the plumbing if he were to do anything. I asked how much that would be. Said he would get me an estimate later in the afternoon and then I never heard from him again. Just poor customer service all around and not very tactful in his responses. If you’re not interested in sending a quote just say that.

I have used Virginia Certified Pool for several equipment replacements over the past several months. They are VERY knowledgeable and fairly priced. If you are looking for someone who delivers what they promise, hire Virginia Certified Pool. It is so refreshing to find someone so helpful and trustworthy.

We bought a new house and it came with a pool that we were not expecting to have in a home but it was in really rough shape. We called one of the big companies here in VB and were ignored. Then we came across Certified Pool and David picked up right away. He got over here quickly and we talked through the vision and he said no problem, that we would be swimming by Summer. And here we are, swimming already! You make a choice going with a local family owned company versus a big corporate company; you get a real person that will help you in a pinch at 8PM on a Sat night because you don’t know how to do all the pool stuff yet. And you get someone trustworthy and friendly. 10/10 definitely recommend this company. He and his son are great people and they care about what they’re doing.

Great company & the owner is very responsive, which is extremely rare in the pool industry. I had another company who used to maintain my pool, their tech damaged it and then ghosted me. Leaving me high & dry. Lucky I found Virginia Certified Pools online and called. The owner picked up immediately and came out to my property the same day. He provided me with a very reasonable estimate for a liner replacement. I signed the contract the next day. He told me he would have my liner replaced as soon as the weather broke in March. Literally in the first week of March, the first good weather day, his pool technician was replacing my liner. Save yourself the headache and just call Virginia Certified Pools for whatever issue you might be having you. You won’t regret

We had issues with getting proper service with this company, specifically the person they had cleaning our pool, Hunter. They missed a scheduled date once, no big deal but at first they tried to tell us that they had come. Then it became consistent. Three times in a row they missed our day and I'm not sure if they would have shown up at all if I didn't say anything.
I began questioning if they were actually cleaning our pool. I had to clean out the skimmers after Hunter's service every single time, no big deal.. it's easy.. but then he stopped cleaning the pool's fountain. And then I noticed the water going a little green... and then it looked like he hasnt been vacuuming..

Anyway, long story short, I paid them almost $300 last month and all I got for it was a green pool that I had to pay another company $300 to remedy. It seems like Hunter never wanted to vacuum, brush, or treat our pool with chemicals. Besides chlorine tablets with CYA.. our CYA is now over 120.

Given two stars because David (his dad) seemed to know his stuff and was quick to respond. Hopefully if you go with this company you get better service than we did.

We contacted SPG and they sent a technician to take care of it. He worked carefully under the house, cleaning and restoring the ductwork. The air duct cleaning was done smoothly. Had a good experience with this company.

Needed a last minute duct cleaning before guests arrived. SPG fit me into their schedule and got it done quickly. Good service, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing. Definitely reliable.

My dryer was taking forever to dry clothes and I wanted to avoid a fire risk. SPG Clean Dryer & Air-Duct came the next day and did a full duct cleaning. . They handled the air duct cleaning carefully, moved furniture without a fuss, and cleaned up afterward. The air feels cleaner, the HVAC runs quieter, and I’ll definitely schedule this regularly.
