David and his team replaced my pool liner. After a week of investigating issues on my old pool liner, we decided to replaced with a brand new one. David did great work and on schedule. Would recommend him to anyone considering any kind of pool work. Very knowledgeable and great work!

Great service, David was helpful and professional and did a great job replacing my old de Filter with a glass filter. He was true to his word on the estimate provided and didn’t try to upsell us on anything we didn’t ask for. Will definitely use VA Certified Pools again in the future!

David and his team did an amazing job opening our pool and educating us as first time pool owners. They upgraded us to a salt water filtration system that we had wanted since we purchased the house and got us scheduled within days. They were very professional and efficient. My wife and I were initially overwhelmed with the idea of maintaining a pool but now we are excited and have the knowledge, tools ,equipment to have the best summer ever with our kids in the pool! We strongly recommend them to everyone for all your pool needs!

Called David at Virginia Certified Pool to order a part for the pump & discussed installation. He had the part & was here the next day to install. David also gave us helpful information for maintaining our pool. Very friendly & efficient service from Virginia Certified Pool. Will definitely be calling them for our future pool service needs. David snuck me into his very hectic sked within 1 day of calling him on Memorial Day weekend. I had just opened my pool and the motor seized...just my luck. David rescued me and installed new motor, knowing no one else would of during the weekend. From this day forward he will get all my pool problems. Great guy, very knowledgeable and fair prices. As a first time pool owner David has been a God sent. We bought a house with a pool that wasn't taken care of and David saved the day. Not only did he make the repairs we needed right away and at a great price, he was more than willing to explain how the system works and how to do the maintenance myself. He's definitely our "pool guy" from now on.

David called me right back after I scheduled service through his website. He changed out my dying pool pump, and is hopefully heading back to upgrade my filter system. I’d definitely recommend Va certified pool.

David and his team are the best! We have worked with him two different times now and both times he has been very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful! He even came out early on a Saturday morning to replace a motor for us when we were in a pinch. He has also replaced our filter and helped us shock our pool when it was green (due to the shot filter). We are planning to replace our liner and will definitely be using him! Look no further- VA certified pools are the people you want!

David was kind, professional and attentive. The liner was replaced in one day. He even epoxied my steps to be blue again and match the liner. There was no mess and absolutely no complaints. 5 stars all the way!

My experience with David and Virginia Certified Pool was much different than some of these other reviews. My regular pool service was booked too far out for an opening, so I booked one with this company online. He came a day later than originally booked after rescheduling. He and his helper arrived at 12 noon, were ready to leave at 12:20. Pool opening for $250 did not include any service behind removing the cover (which was not cleaned before bagging as other pool services have done in the past), starting the pump and removing the winter plugs. Seriously. We've had our pool professionally opened for the past 12 years and the opening always included a minimum of brushing down the sides and bottom then shocking the water; most also did a quick vacuum of the pool. When I questioned why he wasn't brushing the pool down and shocking the pool he told me I was paying a "Walmart" price and expecting a better service. (I was paying the price as advertised on their website). When I told him he wasn't that far off in pricing from others, he kept referring to his website not specifically listing brushing the pool. I told him his website references chemistry costing extra, which I would have been fine with, but he yelled at me he'd be fine with throwing in chemicals but it would be a waste of money until I brush the pool.

He was rude, talked down to me, told me I had an "attitude," spoke to me unprofessionally ("you're just mad you're not getting the answer you want"), kept insisting I should google what a pool opening actually includes.... There was absolutely no professionalism in his work or mannerisms. I was reactive to his disrespect, and at the end of our "discussion" I was incredulous that a person with his attitude could manage to still be in business. My regret is not waiting for the company I usually use for openings. Seriously, pay the $25 or $50 extra other companies are charging for openings who will actually stay for more than 20 minutes and will open and give your pool at least a one-time cleaning. Our pool is completely unusable after paying him full price. (I, unlike him, was honorable and paid what I committed to pay. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't. I just wanted him gone.)

This man owes me an apology, and he should refund at least half of the ridiculous $250 he charged for a 20 minute visit, 5 of which were spent discussing why he couldn't and wouldn't do what any customer should expect at a pool opening.

David installed a variable speed pool pump and did an outstanding job. He provided great customer service, and great workmanship at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend him for all your pool maintenance needs. Joaquin

David has been helping us with our pool for the last 2 summers and we refuse to go with anyone else. He is quick with responses and readily available with any questions and pool emergencies. Their prices are very fair and they go above and beyond to do incredible work. It’s hard to find a pool company so trustworthy around here especially with how expensive pool repair and upkeep can be. I highly recommend them!!

If you want honesty along with an actual caring repair person, David Greer Jr at VA Certified Pool is an awesome choice. He saved me money by replacing my Hayward Super Pump motor rather than just replacing the whole pump, which I thought had to be done. He was also able to react quickly to my request for his service. I feel like I now have a family member in the pool business. What a relief. :-)

After the winter season I opened my pool on my own but I had many questions about my pool equipment. I was looking for a reputable professional, and my neighbor recommended David Greer and his company Va Certified Pool. As I understood, this is a small family business that has earned credibility among its clients. I sent a message and immediately received a response. In couple of days they came to my place, checked the operation of the equipment and recommended replacing the filter, which was really outdated. Everything was done quickly and effectively, with follow up visit and adjustment. I appreciated the responsibility, professionalism and individual approach to me as a client shown by David and his son. Called to get a quote and he already wanted to deny my service. All I asked was for a quote to clean my pool and he automatically stated we don’t do one time cleanings and assumed I only wanted a one time cleaning without even asking and also stated it already had to be cleaned. Didn't ask any details about what I wanted nor what I needed. What is the purpose of pool cleaning service if it has to be already cleaned prior to their arrival. I will never call again.

I screwed up and yanked the flow sensor out of the pool equipment control panel. At first I was worried I would need to have the whole board replaced but David came, replaced the sensor and fixed the problem.
Scheduled for 1 pm he called at 10:30 and asked if he could come earlier. I wasn’t even at home but I can see my property remotely so had no problem. He got done in less than an hour. Reasonable price.
The pool market is full of dishonest people. It’s refreshing to find an honest family business that you can trust.

Dave was able to diagnose and fix the issue with my pool motor quickly. It ended up just being a loose and saved me from replacing a pool motor. Very honest in his dealings. Will only do business with Dave from now on.
