I have used Virginia Home Repair multiple times to help with odd jobs around the house and they have always done a great job. Brian is extremely responsive and timely, his prices are fair, and the work looks great. Highly recommend!

On a very cold, windy, and rainy morning, Brian arrived on time to replace the backdoor motion detector light and repair a number of items inside. He was professional in every respect, was prepared by having the necessary parts, and quickly accomplished the repairs. His final bill was very fair and exactly what he quoted in advance. I highly recommend Virginia Home Repair and Brian!

Bryan was prompt, polite and professional. He came in and knocked 4 of the 6 items on my mom's condo punch list off in less than an hour. He was responsive and called back within 24 hours of receiving my message about needing repairs. I would have Bryan back anytime to take care of any other home maintenance issues we encounter. He does quality work and he was honest and fair.

Brian and his team were awesome! They were punctual professional, and did quality work. We are happy and highly recommend his services. We will definitely be coming back to him for future work!

Arrived promptly, did a great job replacing the screens on my porch including the door. Put up lattice fencing on the bottom so my dogs cannot break through the screen again. Very satisfied!

If I could rate him -5 stars I would. Absolutely terrible work. Could not even complete the job because he did not have the tools or knowledge to do the job. Felt like I was robbed. Stay away for this guy.

Hired to complete a shed build. Horrible experience! I had the hire a separate contractor to finish the build/repair the work done. He was very unresponsive once he received the money. The new contractor identified that he failed to meet standard building specifications in framing, never leveled the foundation resulting in mass distortion. I am currently in the process of reporting him to city licensing bureau and taking him to court for reimbursement. Stay away!

Horrible Horrible person to work with Mr. Robert Davis Portrays himself as a licensed contractor in actuality has no license no insurance cannot legally operate in the state of Virginia doing electrical work. I hired this company to do minor repairs on rental he couldn’t even wire an Electrical Socket correctly. Tried to bully me into paying him the rest of his money. I refuse to pay for non completed and Sub Par work this company is nothing more than a ConArtist waiting to take homeowners money. Oh and he stated “I don’t like working for black people”. RUN RUN RUN RUN FAST FROM THIS SCAMMER. Mr. Whitmire that left the previous review please reach out to me so we can team up resources to make sure a guy like this doesn’t continue to operate a shady business.

Though I've been a pool owner for 20 plus years I'm new to the salt water pools especially the de filtration system. My new home that I purchased last year had exactly that and when my wife and I opened the pool this past weekend we took apart the filter to clean the grids. It was a headache and after putting everything back together the system didn't run correctly so I decided to call a professional. My fear was that with spring time upon us we would have to wait weeks to get our pool up and running. I couldn't have been more wrong. After speaking to David and let my clarify I spoke to David. Not a recording or an answering machine. I explained to him what was going on and he recommended we get rid of the de filtration system and go with glass. The very next day he installed the new system and had my pool up and running within a couple hours. He even took the time to educate me about the system. I'm glad I called. I'll be a customer for life.

David is by far the best in town. Super knowledgeable and helpful, easy to get a hold of and doesn’t take weeks or months to come out. Last but not least he is the best priced by a landslide. I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

I texted David and asked him about a pool problem I had. He gave me a couple ideas and then asked for my address again. He was over to my house the same day I called. He could have charged me a lot of money but troubleshot the failure and fixed within 20 minutes only for a service call.

This is the third time David has done something like this for my family. He's very honest, thorough, great to talk to and very prompt. I usually don't post reviews but really was impressed by David and his son.

David replaced a vinyl liner for me, plus upgraded my sand filter and installed a salt - chlorine system for me. His work is impeccable, he's on time every time and is a pleasure to work with. I'm so glad I hired Virginia Certified Pool!

I would highly recommend David! He works promptly, answered all of our questions, and will continue to be a valued resource.

David was great. I went to his website yesterday and booked a pool closing for the next morning. I called to see if they could also install a safety cover I purchased from another company. They not only came out the next morning to close the pool they also installed the cover for a very reasonable fee. While he was here he explained and educated me about multiple items with the pool. I will definitely be sticking with this company for my future pool needs!

I had a very bad experience with my in ground pool opening appointment. The owner of the company showed up with an assistant 20-30 min before appointment time which is good but ever since the gentleman came he was in hurry to wrap this up and leave for his next appointment. I have asked him if the pool opening includes the cleaning the pool and he said that’s not included and it costs extra , which is fine but he said he is booked for next 6 weeks. He seems to be overwhelmed with too many and when they were having trouble installing our fountain setting he said he can leave in the middle of the pool opening after removing the cover if I pay him $150 instead of $225. The assistant is nice and he eventually figured out how to install the fountain setting. They charged me $7.49 per pound for shock which I think is way higher compared to average price . Over all he was not courteous and not explaining things properly, and he was constantly rushing so he can finish this job and go for his next appointment. The online description for the service clearly says it’s a 2 hour appointment and they should make sure the pool pump system will be tested. After they left when I changed my pump to filter , the air was leaking from the DE filter tank as he forgot to tighten one of the nuts by the pressure gauge. I did not expect this kind of service from the owner of a company. I normally don’t write reviews unless the service is extremely good or extremely bad and this review is something I am writing after long time . I would not recommend this company.

Dave was very personable and knowledgeable about our (new to me) system that had been neglected. He took the extra time during the service call to explain details about my specific system and how to take the best care of it in the future. Would definitely recommend to anyone having issues with their pool!

David provides excellent and super friendly service. We recently bought a house with a pool and had zero experience taking care of one. It unfortunately was left untended and was quite nasty and Green. Thanks to David the pool is now crystal clear and gorgeous. He continues to do our weekly maintenance at a very fair price. Great service and extremely responsive and friendly. David helped me troubleshoot over the phone and set up a time to come same morning when it as clear we needed repairs - I was extremely lucky he had time between jobs. He was honest and up front with everything. He didn’t try to sell me unneeded equipment but rather helped us troubleshoot the system we had in place and come up with a quality and affordable plan to get us up and running for the season. He was extremely informative and provided a lot of helpful advice. He went above and beyond in helping my newbie self remantle my filter I had taken apart to clean. I'm sure some of these 5-star reviews are valid - it was not my experience however; had to take him to court.

I contracted this guy to help open the pool; he recommended a filter upgrade and offered a deal. He installed the thing, but it ejected filtration materials in the pool constantly. Couldn't get him back out to the property for months - he actually tried coming to our home without scheduling with me. We spent the summer with a daily reminder of his shoddy work and his apathy for his mistakes. Ironically I went to the guys up the street (Aegean Pools) and they were able to quickly identify where he went wrong and make the fix. I should have gone with them to begin with but I was trying to give business to the "little guy", which I found out later he most definitely is not.

I eventually had to take him to court where he ignored the first summons, didn't show for the second, and when I finally got him there he complained that we'd locked the house up so he wasn't able to come whenever he wanted. Won the case but he wouldn't drop it, so we went BACK to court and I won again. Thats 4 total days (12 hours) in court. To my knowledge he still hasnt made the reimbursement. The guy is unethical and quite frankly a clown. Give someone else the business.

We had an amazing experience with David's company! We contacted him and he was out at our house within minutes. He assessed our pool situation and had it fixed quickly. We will definitely be using his company again!
