Brandon is so helpful and flexible! I did a consultation on wedneday with him and by thursday afternoon I had 4 trees taken down, INCLUDING STUMPS, and 4 other trees trimmed AND NO MESS LEFT BEHIND! Him and his team are outstanding and super efficient! So glad we went with him!

Stay FAR, FAR away from this company. Owners are children without one ounce of integrity. This company is cheap with their bids but as my neighbors found out you get what you pay for! This company trespassed on my property, destroyed it, and now refuses to even answer my numerous phone calls. This is not a legitimate business- it is a bunch of amateurs running around with chain saws. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a tree company who actually knows what customer service, honesty, and professionalism are about.

We've used Deforest 3 times now over the last few years. Great group of guys. Very professional and tidy. They have done a great job and at a great price. We'll call them again for any future tree services needed.

I had a tree fall on my house during a storm on a Friday and was told by other companies that it would have to wait until the following week. However, I called Deforest and Brandon was out to meet me the Saturday morning and by midday Sunday the tree was removed, the yard was cleared and the roof covered with a tarp. I couldn’t ask for better service and would highly recommend.

Excellent service! Would highly recommend. I'm putting up a fence in my backyard and 5 crepe myrtles lining my property had to be removed. I called Deforest Tree Service on a weekend (after a big storm) and Brandon answered his phone immediately, despite being in the middle of lifting a tree off of a house. He made it out to my home first thing Monday morning as requested and knocked the job out in less than two hours, including grinding the stumps and hauling the trees away for a price that could NOT be beaten. He is a rare find and his service was top notch. Thank you!

My grandmother paid DeForest Tree Service this past September to cut down a few trees and grind up the stumps. They cut down the trees but never came back to grind up the stumps. She has called and left several messages and they refuse to acknowledge her or return her calls. They took her money and never finished the job. We do NOT recommend this company as they do not do honest work and feel that they take advantage of elderly customers.

Called DeForest Tree Service for the first time yesterday morning, and by 2p.m. the same day the team had already cut down all of the limbs and were completely cleaned up. Pretty sure they left my back yard cleaner than when they got here. I recommend this service because of their affordability, speed, and great customer service. Thank you again!

Just wanted to say that Brandon and his crew did a great job for me. they all worked good together, two of the trees they cut for me were in the back yard and they couldn't get the bucket truck to them. I had the best experience removing 4 trees from my back yard. Had tree struck by lightening over a year ago. Called several arborist in October to check on it because the bark was peeling. They said the tree was still healthy and could have several years.Then a couple of weeks ago it developed a crack. We got several estimates. Some tree service didn’t want to touch it. Others would to do it for a price upwards of $12000 for one tree. Then our saving grace was DeForest Tree Service and Brandon the owner. He came out and yes it was a difficult tree, but he could do it. He would have to use his 25 ton crane in a tight space in the backyard. He knowing the urgency came out the next day with his amazing crew. Josh, the foreman, Michael the tree climber, Justin and Andrew. Such polite, nice young professionals. I have no idea how they maneuvered their big machines with all our trees and shrubs, but they are skilled tree cutters. Brandon is such a fair and honest man. He knew we had such a difficult tree to remove , but did not take advantage of us. In fact he was twice as reasonable as the other estimates so we had them remove our other sweet gum, that turned out to have a hole in the center also. They also pointed out our two tall pines were dying from the top and they gave us a price we couldn’t refuse. I am so thankful for Brandon and the other modern day lumberjacks. They have a skill and a business ethic that is rare in today’s world. I would absolutely recommend and use them again.

The company responded to our phone call in a very timely manner; came to give quote on the same day! On the day of the job, the crew was courteous and professional. After they completed the job (with no problems) the yard was cleaner than when they came. We would hire them again for a tree service and recommend DeForest Tree Service to anyone!

The deforest tree service is a absolute professional organization, no games they do what they promise and offer, pricing was straight to the point and their pricing is better or comparable to the other offers that I had. Had them trim all the large trees around my property, front and back yard, and when I came home from work, they had done a beautiful job and I could not tell that they were even here, they did not leave any limbs and cleaned up all the debris, from the job, total professional service highly recommended.

We called Brandon and he and his guys were on the job the following day!! It was a fairly big job, and they showed up early and knocked it out in one day!! Very professional, reliable, and they cleaned up everything very nicely. I would highly recommend them for any tree removal job you need! This is the 3rd time in 3 years that I had Deforest do work for me. Brandon and his crew have always been very professional. He checked with me throughout the day to make sure everything was just how I wanted. We had a tree fall into our neighbor's yard and when I spoke with the neighbor they said the guys were all very good and professional, getting permission to enter yard, careful with flower beds and very respectful. I have referred them to other friends who have also been happy with their work. The price is comparable to other tree services in the area. They do refer out for stump grinding.

Our experience couldn't have been better, so I am surprised to read the other review. Brandon, Nick and crew did a great job clearing our ivy covered lot, removing several trees and grinding stumps. They were very responsive with estimates, showed up early for the job, communicate with us when there were rain delays and provided us all the documents we required (contract, insurance certificate). Their pricing was very competitive, without cutting corners (some tree companies will fall trees instead of roping them down b/c it is cheaper and faster). We've used three different tree companies over the years and DeForest is the only one we will be calling back!

DeForest Tree Service is a family-owned business. Each member of their team takes pride in the work performed and complete care of their clients' properties. The owner, Brandon, came out to estimate our job, which was comprised of several different projects in order to clean up our property. We had two trees and stumps removed, five smaller trees groomed, and one mammoth oak groomed. The crew was polite, engaging and extremely qualified. The best part is the grounds look amazing. I had no debris clean-up after all this work was completed. Despite non-stop rain for a week prior to the work, my grass looks like it was vacuumed and not one rut, anywhere. I highly recommend DeForest Tree Service.

We recently needed three trees removed from our yard (two medium and one large). I interviewed over a dozen tree service companies over the phone. Narrowed it down to five and had those five come to our home to give an estimate (one of the five never showed up or called back). In addition to an estimate, I had the now four finalists give me a detailed explanation of how they would cut down and remove the trees and also give an overview of their equipment, trucks and crew.

One of the four finalists gave me an estimate shortly before the job was to begin. The week the job actually was scheduled to begin he amazingly changed his mind and decided to more than double his price citing inaccurate yet creative reasons. I was extremely surprised that he decided to change his price at the last minute. Needless to say, I thanked him for his time and continue the interview process with the other three companies.

The owner of DeForest Tree Service, Brandon DeForest, gave me the most reasonable, logistically logical and least expensive estimate. He also provided me with good solid factual and truthful answers to my questions and gave me a copy of his Certificate of Insurance before I even asked. Brandon honored his estimate and did not try to add things on or change his price before, during or after the job was done. As I indicated above, some companies do come up with very creative reasons to change their estimate to a higher price.

DeForest Tree Service was very careful to protect my lawn with large sheets of plywood and carefully removed every piece of the trees without letting them just fall and damaged my lawn. The crew was very conscientious and worked well together in an extremely safe and professional manner. My three trees were cut down and removed exactly as Brandon indicated prior to starting the job and they did a terrific job cleaning up before they left.

Furthermore, two of my neighbors were so impressed with the skillful, honest and professional work of DeForest Tree Service, they both had DeForest Tree Service remove trees in their yard the very next day!

I've used numerous tree service companies both commercially and privately throughout Virginia over many years and I can say without any hesitation that Brandon and Deforest Tree Service provide outstanding tree service at extremely fair and reasonable pricing. They are, without a doubt, far superior to any of the numerous tree service companies I have ever used before!

I very rarely give written referrals or recommendations, but I felt this exceptional company deserves the recognition for the outstanding work they perform.

Lastly, I am not a friend or relative of Brandon or anyone else associated with DeForest Tree Service. And, I never met or knew any of the folks before I received their estimate and had my trees removed. I am simply an extremely satisfied and grateful customer.

Hired Brandon and his crew to remove 2 trees. One was a 80ft Pine that needed to be craned over the house. Brandon quoted a fair price and stated that
once scheduled he could have it done within 3 hours.

I was skeptical about the time frame but sure enough he and his crew had the job wrapped up spot on from what he quoted.

Brandon is top notch. He and his crew are extremely professional and genuine good people. I would not think twice about hiring him in the future. Very good hardworking crew.

Highly recommend DeForest tree service! Extremely professional crew, does qualify work and incredibly fast. This was my first time having trees removed so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but from the time of the initial phone call to the time 9 pine trees were cut, stumps ground, and everything hauled away was 72 hours. By far the best price and town and very easy to work with. Have already recommended Brandon and crew to friends and neighbors in the area and would absolutely call again for future projects - truly a well run business!
