I had an issue come up at the last minute with my split A/c heat unit and K&J were very prompt in setting up an appointment to get it looked at. My HVAC technician Corey was very thorough in explaining my problem and the solution. He returned early the next morning on time and had the problem fixed within a couple hours. They have earned a new customer!!

We had K&J Mechanical, LLC replace our system with the 2.5 ton, 16 Seer Heat Pump Package. We could not be any happier with the end result.
The installation went extremely smooth. We had no hiccups in or outside of our home. The estimate and payment service was completed with little difficulty. They worked with me through the financing process at ease. I felt that the installation rate was extremely low. I recommend this company. You will be completely satisfied!

This company is the worse business I’ve ever encountered! They have been dishonest, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I suspect they received a 5-star rating due to having simple jobs like changing a filter. Bottom line, I have reported them to the BBB and have attempted to warn the unsuspecting public of their tactics on several other review platforms.

Sadly, this is one of the hottest days - 1/08/24- in Williamsburg (93 degrees). They began “working” to repair my AC 11 days ago. The excuses are now the size of an avalanche! As of this writing, they have cashed the service charge check (they were very proficient at that) but my/spouse and I will once again sleep in temps of 86 degrees.

If you have excess cash and you are willing to give it away, hire them. If you are diligent about your hard earned money I’d suggest you look to another company to repair your AC unit. Beware!

Addendum: Thomas (the owner) called back and attempted to lie that our warranty company dropped the ball. I shared that we have been in constant communication with them so he then tried talking over me. He couldn’t empathize with my plight. I am now convinced he is not a trusted agent. Most businesses would ask their customers, “How can we make it right?” Instead, Thomas had excuses upon excuses. He seriously acted surprised that I was upset! Beware!

I have k&j mechanical to service my home and my Rental house for years they call me if they are a little late they communicate Well. They usually on time, and they inform me of anything that may be a future problem in my units they are professional.

Walter did an amazing job. He came out on Friday and fixed the issue we had with our ac. By Friday night, another issue compounded and he was back out Saturday morning to fix everything. Incredibly knowledgeable, extremely personable. K&J is now my go to for HVAC needs.

The technician (I wish we remembered his name) went above and beyond for our repair when our AC went out, we are so appreciative of his service and glad we called this company. We have a house full of pets and a newborn baby, and he recognized our stress. He worked hard on this repair to ensure it was completed that same day, when he really didn't have to (it took longer than scheduled). We are very thankful. Would highly recommend this company.

My A/C went out at my apartment on my Birthday weekend. It was out for 4 days.

My management company reached out to K&J Mechanical. They came the very next day bright and early. Walter was my technician. He fixed my A/C and also gave my dog a cookie. He was such a cool guy. I really appreciate him.

Thank you K&J for hiring qualified, knowledgeable personelle. Walter did a great Job. I would suggest give him a gold star or even better a raise.

I called for a quote to have some duct repairs done. The technician, Walter, was very nice and great to work with, but was 2 hours late for the estimate. Showed up at 8:15 PM when the scheduled time was 4-6. Walter said the work shouldn’t be a problem and they could get it done. Thomas, the supervisor on the phone, said he’d have the quote to me by the next morning. I talked with him on the phone 3 times and every time, he said “I’m about to send it over”. The next day I called and left a voicemail about the quote because he never sent it, just for him to call back and say they won’t do the work. Very unprofessional. This guy clearly doesn’t respect the time of others. Would strongly recommend NOT going with these people for your needs.

K&J have been servicing us for several years...I wouldn't have anyone else. I feel really happy to know they are honest, dependable and incredibly professional. The other day, I called and received service immediately & my problem was resolved by the days end.

My AC went out this early this morning (6-15-2024). The normal company I have service with couldn't do anything until tomorrow morning... I looked around and found K&J Mechical from a quick Google search. I called and was able to a same day appointment. From the time of the call to when the technician showed up, it was an hour and a half which is absolutely amazing.

My technician was Walter. He was very kind and professional. He arrived and was ready to get to work. He had my AC back on within 20 minutes of being at my house. Amazing job by Walter and K&J Mechanical. 10/10! Thank you guys so much!!

The worst experience the technicians lack of professional, ethics and communication. They don't share the report if what's have done. The thermostat was replaced and worked for less than a month. This may be a very extended complement, but it’s very much well deserved. I have been living at Baypoint Crossing for the past 5+ years always had issues with my HVAC system from the AC to the heating system and my heat went out recently been out for probably 6 - 9 days. My rental office just called KNJ out here to fix it and I had the most two knowledgeable technicians come to my unit. Ivan and Chris They were very informative, speedy and very much attentive to the issue at hand. They cleaned up behind themselves, They were very mindful of the environment that they were entering and they fix other things that wasn’t even on my list they fix my sliding patio door and screen door along with closing up a hole in my hvac closet to prevent mice from entering in my unit. It was very much well worth the wait you can say, even though I was inconvenient with my heat, not working, but once they sent the professionals to my unit, they fixed my issue and as of right now is hot as hell in my house so I know for a fact, my heat is working. I do appreciate y’all help. Y’all should give these two gentlemen a very much well deserved raise, and the last gentleman that came to my unit From this company, he fixed my AC his name is Walter so I appreciate all of these knowledgeable young men for assisting me in my issues with my unit. I’m glad that they have k and j mechanical as a contractor for this property.

So I wanted to wait and give a real review, after the service has been used and tested and I can give an honest review. This all started when TYRONE came to my home to find out what was wrong with my Heating/AC unit. He was very professional, friendly and nice. He explained everything and was, i felt, honest about what was wrong with my unit. I felt like he was family coming to check something I didn't know how to fix. He set the tone and led me to choose this company to do my replacement of my unit. After I made the easy decision to have this company replace my entire unit they went ABOVE and BEYOND. This was just before Thanksgiving and if you recall it was raining and COLD. They knew we needed heat and came out in the rain, set up a tent and replaced our entire unit in less than a day. The staff were polite, understanding and just got the work done. I asked my neighbors (all our houses were built at the same time and we have all needed new units now) and the price was less than they spent with other companies and my entire service took less time as well. It has been several months now and everything (knock on wood) is working fine. I have not used the AC yet, but I have NO DOUBTS that if there is an issue, K&J WILL take care of it. The staff from the phone call to the handshake at the end were 100% professional. I told the owner, it felt like I was family they were taking care of. I will never be able to say enough about what this company did for my family. Thank you.

The service was amazing!! We called and within the hour Cory was at our house! We tried two other companies that did not have after hours service. When Cory arrived he knew exactly what the problem was, and it was taken care of in under 2 hours. Cory was a total professional and made sure everything was cleaned up and in working order before he left. K&J has been a part of the Fords Colony community for over 10 years and truly showed they know what it takes to solve problems quickly. We will be signing up for a maintenance contract and will only use them from now on.

I want to thank Everyone at K&J Mechanical for all of their hard work. I contacted them to replace my heating and Ac unit. I spoke to Thomas and he was so patient with me as I was stressing over not having heat in my home. The technicians who came to my home were very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you so much and I will be using them for future work if needed.

If I could give zero stars I would. Sent out by American Home Shield to fix my HVAC. multiple issues with scheduling/no show, etc. They claimed I needed a blower and 500 worth of "modifications" to my electrical lines to replace it. Had to pay the 500 up front. I asked for an itemized estimate and didn't get it. But because it was through AHS I didn't really have a choice. finally came to install it and couldn't fix it. said "sometimes you can just replace the blower" and claimed the unit needed to be replaced. It took weeks for them to send the information to AHS to update the case. meanwhile, I'm without AC in the hottest part of the summer with two small children. They gave estimates to completely replace the unit ranging from 7025-8000. However they also sent AHs estimates to replace the heat pack and air handler, which was all AHS would approve. That estimate included another "modification" to drain lines, electrical lines and ducts, to the tune of $7,500. I have left multiple messages requesting a call back and an itemized statement of the proposed modifications and cannot get anyone to respond. I can't move forward with the AHS claim until I have the information. There is absolutely no scenario under which it makes sense that repairing two parts, would cost more than an entirely new unit. They have learned if they call something a "modification" it allows them to bill the AHS customers directly so that they get paid more. They got whatever AHS paid them to replace the blower plus my $500 and after nearly two months, I still don't have a working AC. The technician left the cover off, cut a bunch of wires and left them hanging and managed to break the thermostat which was working. They are nothing short of crooks.

Amazing job! I use AHS and k and j were amazing to work with. The tech figured out the problem let me know whats going on and when came back to fix everything was running better than last few years. People on phone were nice, understanding, and i will never use another company for any hvac needs. Chris was tech and amazing job! So thankful!

K & J was amazing. We had to use them after hours three different times and each time they responded quickly and fixed our issues. The owner was very helpful as well as our technicians Walt and Cory. More recently, our HVAC died and they offered the option to fix it and/or replace. Because our unit was so old, they recommended replace. They were flexible with us and made it affordable during a time when we thought we could not afford the replacement. They always arrive during the time stated, and their technicians are friendly and professional. We plan to use K & J in the future and highly recommend to everyone. Thank you so much!

Corey and Tyler have been absolutely incredible and helpful. We’ve been having hvac problems and they came out the day we called and had it fixed that day and then even came back the next day to check in on everything. Couldn’t recommend them more!
