Constraction reviews in Auburn, Washington

We chose Massey Remodel and Design originally because of the project displays on their website. We stuck with them because of their genuine and professional approach. They walked and talked us through the design and remodel process of our kitchen so we could make fully informed decisions. The app they use is an excellent way to check for updates and photos in addition to consistent text communication. James, Genessa, and the crews they work with were an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend using Massey Remodel & Design. We will be choosing them for future projects.

I highly recommend Massey Remodel and Design for anyone looking to remodel their home. The Design Build Process from Pre-construction to Project Completion was exceptional. We are very pleased with the design of our new fireplace mantel, cabinets, and shelving in our living room space, as well as the new kitchen. The end result was exactly what we wanted. The team of individuals working on the remodel were punctual, respectful of our home, and provided quality workmanship.
The communication was clear and responsive throughout the entire project. Thank you James and Genessa!

Not only did James do great work, but what you'll really love is how professional and responsive he is. He'll respond to your e-mails. He'll send you texts that he's on the way. He'll show up when he says he'll show up. He'll wear a mask and he'll clean up after himself. Working him was incredibly easy and it looks great too.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Massey HS to remodel our kitchen and floors! What I appreciated most was how organized everything was and how responsive they were to all of our questions. They were also very accommodating when I kept adding little things to the project! And to top it off we finished ON TIME! They took our dark and drab 70’s home to a welcoming and bright updated space. It was so much fun being able to work with them to bring my vision to life. Whether you are just looking for a small job or an entire home renovation, you won’t regret going with Massey home services! We will definitely be using James and his reliable crew for more projects in the future!

James did an excellent job on a complete remodel of two bathroom vanity areas, and new flooring in both bathrooms. The space and unusual sizes needed for replacements were a challenge, but I am beyond pleased with the results. In the Master Bath vanity area, the only pre-made vanity we could find that fit my specifications and the existing space was ~9 inches short. James built a custom shelving unit to fill in the space and to provide extra storage. Who doesn't need extra storage in a vanity area? James is great to work with and he knows what he is doing. He can also explain why something should not be done even if the client thinks they have a great idea. It was a long process during a pandemic, but all safety measures were followed and I couldn't be happier.

So happy with our new kitchen! We did a whole kitchen remodel with these guys. They did such a great job, were very professional, and worked quickly! The workers were kind and really knew what they were doing. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone!

I've had the pleasure of working with the Massey R+D team on multiple projects, and they consistently impress me with their professionalism and expertise. Their attention to detail, communication, and commitment to quality is unparalleled. It's clear they truly care about their clients and are extremely talented at bringing their visions to life. I would strongly recommend Massey R+D for anyone considering a remodel, you'll be glad you did!!

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Massey worked tirelessly on ensuring everything was perfect. From concept, design, to final construction. Couldn't be happier with the final bath and kitchen remodels.

We recently completed a whole home interior remodel, including a full kitchen renovation, and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From the very beginning, James & team stood out for their professionalism, in-house design expertise, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

One of the biggest advantages of working with his team was their in-house design services. They took the time to understand our vision and lifestyle, translating it into a cohesive, functional, and beautiful space. From layout planning to material selections, the design process felt thoughtful, collaborative, and well-guided. We especially appreciated their ability to blend modern updates with the character of our home.

The quality of work exceeded our expectations. Every detail—from custom cabinetry and trim work to tile installation and finishes—was executed with care and precision. The team clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in the final product. The kitchen, in particular, is stunning and has completely transformed the way we live in the space.

The project was well-organized and efficiently managed. Timelines and budgets were clearly outlined from the beginning, and any adjustments were communicated transparently. We always felt that the project was moving forward with purpose and structure, which gave us peace of mind during what is typically a very disruptive process.

Communication was excellent throughout. The team was responsive, accessible, and always willing to answer questions or explain next steps. We had regular updates and walkthroughs, and it truly felt like a partnership. Any concerns were addressed promptly and professionally.

James and Massy Remodel brought together design, quality, and organization in a way that made the remodeling process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We’re thrilled with the results and would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a full-service remodeling team that delivers on both vision and execution.

Massey Remodel + Design met, then exceeded my expectations. Throughout the project they were professional, clean, and timely. Highlights for me were working with Genessa on design then getting a model of what the end product would look like and going over the project with James regularly as he made sure everything was installed to our liking. Together they brought new life into our home, and I look forward to the next project with them.

James and Genessa are a wonderful team! We did a full demo kitchen remodel along with a few other projects in our main living space and everything turned out beautifully.

The planning and design process was extremely organized and efficient and Genessa is a wizard at drafting up visuals so you can see the design every step of the way which was extremely helpful. Genessa is a wonderful designer and I really appreciated her delicate balance of being there to offer suggestions and expertise when needed while also letting me take the lead on ideas that I had for the space.

As construction began James was great at quick communication and transparent about any issues that came up. We had some delays, as most projects do, but James really rallied his team to get us back into our space by the holidays and we really appreciated the extra effort to make that happen! The quality and professionalism through every step of the remodel process was wonderful. I would definitely recommend Massey Remodel and Design to anyone needing home remodel services!

From design to completion, working on our home renovation with Genessa and James (Massey Remodel + Design) has been a wonderful experience. They worked with us to help define our unique style, design preferences as well as cost options. Along with their team they have helped create a custom updated and modern yet timeless feel to our home.

My wife and I decided to go with the Masseys for our recent remodel that included kitchen, en suite, living, and dining room. I was incredibly impressed with the level of professionalism and integrity they displayed through the whole project. Their preconstruction process was easy, walked us through the right questions to lead us to a design we're very happy with, and was then executed on-budget and on-schedule. When complications arose (a plumbing accident that had water leaking all day while no one was home) they made everything right with no pushback at all. When finances allow, if we find ourselves redoing the rest of our hose, I won't hesitate to use the Masseys again.

We were working with James and Genessa on a pantry, mud room, and laundry room remodel. The detail they provided, from the jump, was awesome. Both took a very keen interest in our project and brought great ideas to us. Their professionalism and care for their work showed from the moment we met. I would highly recommend Massey Remodel+Design for any home project.

The Massey Team completely remodeled my outdated Gig Harbor kitchen. Genessa did an incredible job on the design, incorporating my ideas while bringing her expertise and designer eye. James and Davis were communicative, available for my questions, and the craftsmanship of each subcontractor was excellent. Each person that came into our home was kind and professional. We are so happy with our completed kitchen. I highly recommend the Massey Remodel and Design team.

We did a major project with Massey Remodel updating our kitchen, two bathrooms, hardwood floors and more. We had an excellent experience working with James and Genessa. They are professional, fun to work with and the communication was great. We knew, on a daily basis, the status of our project. Any concerns we raised were responded to quickly, taken seriously and addressed. In terms of design, Genessa was wonderful to work with - amazing ideas and really listened to what we were looking for. We could not be happier with the results and would ( and have!) recommend them highly.

I just completed a total remodel of my 1967 Gig Harbor home. From day 1, James, Genessa, and Davis impressed me with their professionalism, their industry knowledge, and their commitment to delivering an outstanding project. The entire project was extremely organized and they were so responsive to my ideas and questions.

Massey created an entry into my home from the garage where one did not exist. They added an additional bedroom with en-suite, added a laundry room, redid all the bathrooms giving me a luxurious primary bath. They took down a very large and heavy brick fireplace that blocked outdoor views, and they turned my kitchen into a bright and open space with plenty of storage. I’ve got all new flooring, light fixtures, doors, baseboards, and a modern skimcoat over all of the 60’s textured walls. We also did new siding, outdoor paint and new windows. They truly made my remodel vision and dream come true. There is no one better in Gig Harbor to do the job than Massey Remodel and Design.

Home Library and Office Remodel in Sammamish, WA

James, Genessa, and the rest of the Massey team were amazing to work with for our home remodel project, which involved converting an unused formal dining area in our home into a home library and office. Genessa and her team were so helpful, creative, and thoughtful when it came to translating our vague ideas and dreams for a home library into a beautiful and practical design. And James, Davis, and the rest of their team were very organized, communicative, detail-oriented, and professional when it came to turning that design into a reality in our home. They made the design and remodel process as fun, smooth, predictable, and pain-free as possible (even when there were a couple minor delays outside their control). The entire team is very obviously passionate about their work, experienced in the industry, and dedicated to delivering a high-quality final product. We are absolutely thrilled about how our home library turned out, and we would definitely recommend Massey Remodel and Design to anyone else needing home remodel services.
