We where planning on removing our old lawn and replacing it with new sod. Reached out to Grounded Landscaping Design for an estimate. The owner Chris Blonski came out to meet with us and recommended other options to improve our landscaping needs. Chris sent his proposal to us within a couple days for our approval. Once accepted Grounded started our project the following week. Overall Chris's crew put in new sod, created a dry creek with cobbles, planted new shrubs, removed 2 old tree stumps/planted 6 arborvitae in that area and barked our whole front and back area at a very reasonable cost.

Caleb and his hardworking team were easy and friendly to work with.
Firstly, Caleb had a vision for our yard that we just couldn't of thought was possible. We are so happy and pleased with his design. We were newbies to yard remodel and he handled all of our questions with ease. Secondly, the project started when he said it would and finished in the time he said it would. No surprises or drama, just the way we like it.

What a first impression! Caleb came out for a consultation and it was immediately evident he was unlike the other landscapers we spoke to. He freely gave ideas on what we could do with our challenging space which helped us know our visions aligned and he would be a great fit for our project. He really embraced the challenges of our yard and turned them into perks. I loved getting to see the entire plan drawn out for our yard before we went ahead with the project. The guys came out in rain or shine and worked so hard. They are incredibly hard working and respectful, cleaning up at the end of each day, making sure our gates were shut and fence panel secured since we have dogs. The price was reasonable, the work done in a timely manner and the results are amazing. Our yard looks so beautiful, I would have never thought of everything they put into it. The arbors, patio and natural looking rock steps all just blew me away! The plant selection was just what we needed, wanted and then some! I highly recommend Caleb and his team, and will use them again in the future!

My recent experience with Grounded Landscape Design was extraordinary if you desire quality work with excellent customer service. Communication with Caleb and his team was impeccable and consistent. My wife and I needed a repair done on a crumbling rock wall which was becoming a safety issue with kids playing in the back yard, the Grounded team fixed it in no time. All facets of the job exceeded expectations. Caleb's guys were polite, efficient and very knowledgeable with good suggestions to improve the appearance of the job. They worked extremely hard to satisfy our expectations. Grounded Landscape and Design executed as advertised and I won't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone. Caleb and the entire Grounded Landscape Design crew did an amazing job on our backyard. Caleb had a vision for our yard that I couldn't 'see' until it was done and man are we happy with it! His crew is professional---working SO hard every day---and everything was done thoroughly and to our satisfaction. We had NO qualms with any of the workmanship which seems like a miracle. All in all a great experience at a reasonable price, would recommend.

This company is great! I needed to install stone steps in my backyard. The communication was very reliable (I talked to Chris), the workers were accommodating and did a great job, and all of this was for the best price out of several companies I asked. I couldn't be happier with the result, and my wife recommended this company to her relatives who have a similar project in mind.

Beginning to end of our landscape project, Grounded Landscape Design, Chris and his professional team did an incredible job. The attention to detail, fair and reasonable price, plus his team went above and beyond with fixing things outside of contract (our existing sprinkler system for one). We replace our old concrete driveway with pavers, replaced / improved retaining walls, walkways, hardscape and landscaping in our front yard . Added a staircase to our lower yard, as well as installing new exterior lighting for both our front and back yards. Our Grounded Landscaping Team (Kathryn - project manager / Francisco, Junior, and Sebastian) were a pleasure to work with. They developed a plan, drawings, budget and schedule that they maintained throughout the effort. It was also necessary to coordinate with another onsite contractor, which they did seamlessly. The team were efficient, friendly, informative, and cleaned up after each days efforts. This was great "value for money" and we are totally pleased with the final result. I would recommend Grounded Landscaping highly to anyone who needs work done.

They are truly brilliant designers. Ever since we bought our house we have been searching for ways to push back our retaining wall to get more usable space, but it just wasn’t feasible. We then decided to reach out to a few landscape architects to see if they could accommodate our dreams and needs for our backyard. We then found Grounded, and we were just blown away by their design.
They delivered on all of our requests and considered every small detail, from having very low maintenance plants to perfectly placed privacy trees to even plants that look good all year long (I certainly don’t have the time, knowledge or patience to see what can live in this climate and look good all year round).
Their crew was excellent, they put in so much hard work and were incredibly courteous. Communication throughout the project was excellent and they listened to any concerns we had and communicated any small adjustments they thought should be made. The final product was beyond our wildest dreams and we could not be happier with the results. They turned our hideous retaining wall we tried so hard to get rid of, into the shining star of our backyard! From the flow, to the layout, to the materials, it is our little piece of paradise now. It’s October and we are trying to find any bit of dry weather that we can to spend in our backyard oasis. We cannot recommend Grounded enough!

After the removal of several huge Douglas Fir trees that were taking the hillside down with them, we hired Grounded Landscape Design to help us build a proper retaining wall, replace all of the fences, create a backyard full of durable raised beds for vegetables, plus a patio and walkways. Even though they initially promised two designs, Kathryn was so excited about our project that she gave us four, and helped us to land on a design that was like nothing we had even considered. The crew that performed the actual work was the same every day, and were incredibly tidy and respectful of our property throughout the entire build. Weekly meetings with the designer helped to keep us updated. When we hit little snags along the way (both unforeseen site challenges and miscommunications between the designers and crew), they always went above and beyond to figure things out and correct the issues, without complaint. At the end of the project they ensured we were satisfied, with several final walkthroughs, and sent the crew leader back right away to catch the one little detail that was missed. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. This was not the cheapest bid we received, but they came in on budget, and we have no regrets now that we're done, knowing that we got exactly what we wanted and just how great the entire crew was to work with.

We had great experience with the driveway and landscape project by Grounded Landscape Design. It was a complete replacement of our old driveway with pavers, rebuild of our backyard patio, and installation of all the landscape and lightings throughout. Initially, we were stressed out by the size of the project, and worried whether the project would be over our budget, and its disruption to our daily life. We were pleasely surprised by the result! The final outcome of the project by Grounded Landscape Design, driveway, patio and everything, look beautiful besides being very functional and serving our day-to-day needs. During the project, the Grounded Landscape Design team were very efficient and friendly. We really enjoyed working with Karen, who came up with the great design within our budget, with Francisco and the construction team who did a great work and always cleaned up after each day’s work. We would recommend Grounded Landscape Design highly!

We recently hired Grounded Landscape Design for a backyard rockery project, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Chris and his team did an outstanding job from start to finish. Everything was completed exactly as promised — and even exceeded our expectations.

The pricing was fair and reasonable, with no surprises along the way. I met with Chris several times before, during, and after the project, and each time he arrived exactly at the scheduled time — minute to minute. That level of punctuality is truly rare these days and very much appreciated.

What impressed us even more was their commitment after the job was completed and paid for. They came back to add extra bark and do additional cleanup, going above and beyond what was expected.

The crew working in our backyard was extremely friendly, professional, and polite. Whenever I had a question, they would pause their work, explain what they were doing, and discuss the progress in detail. That level of communication made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

Worst service ever! We moved into a new house and called for waste collection service. They did not provide us a container. We called multiple times and were told the container was out of stock, so we had been without a can for more than FIVE weeks. It was fall time and our yard waste piled up. Representatives only told us there's nothing they could do because they did not have any container, and they were not willing to reimburse my expense to get rid of the waste. I finally called the government and a can was sent to us immediately.

The absolute worse service and dependable service. Never hesitates to miss a week of garbage pick up. Always uses weather but roads clear. Use excuses like supporting fellow garbage persons in San Diego support to not pick up trash

I am so grateful for the employees at Republic.
The driver at my 90 yo mother's home, saw her hobbling down the driveway one day to collect a bin. Ever since that day, which was been over a year ago, he has taken it upon himself to bring up every single bin to her garage door - garbage, recycle and yard waste.
His kindness and thoughtfulness fortifies my faith in humanity.
When I called to make a commendation, the woman was so kind and helpful.
They've never missed a day in years (contrasting other complaints on here).

Seems like a waste of time posting a review for a company with a full area monopoly. But hopefully it makes a small positive difference.
It is simply hard to imagine less caring company that treats their customers like a lifeless commodity. From complete indifference of customer service, to total lack of consumer communication, all the way to a misleading and contradictive policies. It’s been a long history of misses, but holiday tree collection took the 1st prize today.
Instead of doing what the rest of US does, and simply putting a tree at the curbside, these jokers require that “you cut the tree and bundle it back together”. Only after the call to their customer service line. Otherwise, they just drive right by and leave you to figure it out.
This “company” would not last a day in an open market. It will make you feel nostalgic for the day you’d spent at the Driver’s Licensing office. You have no idea what “bad” means until you have had direct experience with Republic. I’m sure they have a Richie Aprile on consulting payroll.

After numerous attempts to contact I have to say that previous one-star reviews are valid. If I can give a negative dot I will.

Since October, I have been trying to contact the responsible personnel (who seems to be a supervisor) via emails, phone messages, personal stop-by at their Bellevue office, and the City planner helped me placed calls and emails. Just drop dead silence. You don't know what will make them respond for my business connection service change - location change, or change to the individual bins, or separate 4-cy containers at a couple locations to avoid utility easement? Nothing - the personnel is not interested in looking into these details at all, not for the company's interest and not for the community's interest. Oh, spam phone calls soon after - not sure if those were related yet I did noticed.

I miss the time of America 30 years ago. even 20 years ago people were really friendly and helpful. Now it's totally A different scenario - they see if you are from a big corp. if you are a small company - a target for them to sit and laugh at you. How do I know? This afternoon there was a lady on the phone who cut off for 30 seconds after I mentioned the City where the development is, then came back and directing me to a regular "someone will call you back in 48 hours" - she was determining if my case should be taken seriously or not. And I have gotten this response a few times already that has been drop dead quiet.

What a group - discriminating small business, discriminating minority women engineer.

Update on Jan. 02, 2020: since there are more than 100 views of this post, I am updating the status of this task. Nothing happened (except another spam phone call) by writing to the email address provided, next day I called UTC and reported 9 attempts by me (actually, more than 9 times) and at least 3 times by the City's planner, UTC took my compliant and contacted the company. Before noon they contacted the City for apologies. --- No apologies to me! Well, at least someone was reading my request of change and technical information on alternatives - it was all about change the pickup format. Because I have listed details on how this change will not harm safety, the access, and will benefit NUD's plan on water main improvements. In the end I received the letter of approval before holidays and the City and NUD can continuing their review.

This small task took a lot of my energy. It can be scaled as "tiny" task relative to other tasks for this project we have accomplished - wetland mitigation, stormwater treatment, traffic impact, utility connections, access road and site configuration design, architectural design and structural engineering.

Continuously they do not pick up the yard waste. I report it and also call. Sometimes it is picked up a day or two later, but most of the time they do not. This time of year there is lots of yard debris. We pay for this service and I don’t feel I should have to call and report every single week.

The crew that comes by each week at our place is awesome! And customer service? They have always taken care of me and my needs, whether it is my home or large dumpster for a project, the crew there has helped all the way through. I hope that you all experience the level service I receive. I want all these folks on my team!

We called to ask about why they took one of our yard waste bins. They charged us for the service of it even though I watched them take it away at pick up day. We told them we wanted a refund because they charged us for the service even through they are the ones that took it away. She said no refund and it’s our fault for not calling sooner. We asked to speak to the manager and she hun up on us. Called back and got another person who easily did the refund and is having a replacement can sent. The customer service is a joke but unfortunately there’s no competition or other options for us so they can get away with it. No accountability. Donald Slager you should be embarrassed!

Have missed pickup at least three in 10 weeks.I am getting tired of calling to get a scheduled pick up. How hard is it to pick up garbage on your scheduled route? Why am I paying for this kind of poor service?
I don't know why this is the only garbage pick up company in our county. Service is so bad and missed pick up is a common thing. I demand a refund! It is incredibly frustrating.
