Jose and team were fantastic to work with on our kitchen remodel. He offered so many helpful suggestions and unique touches that made our kitchen stand-out. They did not disappoint. Looking to use Cruz Construction for our bathroom remodel too.

Seven years ago Jose came recommended to me as somebody to correct mistakes made by a less competent contractor. He went above and beyond for me on that project and was an excellent communicator through completion. I have called on him multiple times since then and he has always come through for my different projects at different properties, including one just recently. In my experience through the years, it is not easy to find quality work at a good value. To have a contractor that also stays communicative and really cares about making sure I'm happy with the end result is a rare find. Cruz Construction has consistently fit all of those criteria for me.

We recently used Cruz Construction for our home renovation and we’re glad we did. We initially reached out to Jose for a quote and he responded and came out to do a walkthrough right away. We got the quote and were able to begin the project quickly. They helped us remove all our existing carpet and flooring throughout the house and change it all to bamboo hardwood and marble tile. Everyone we interacted with were courteous, reliable, and professional and the floors came out looking great. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Cruz Construction again for any future projects

I hired Cruz Construction to remodel my bathroom and replace windows in my living room. Jose was great to work with. He communicated with me throughout the entire project. His work was excellent. I am so happy with the new bathroom and window replacement. I will definitely will call Jose for any future projects and will recommend him.

Jose and his team did a number of projects for us, including 3 bathroom remodels, a garage permitting and remodel, and some exterior work. Jose went above and beyond in all cases, and we will absolutely continue to work with him. He does not subcontract his work, and he and his team are incredibly professional, quiet and unobtrusive. He leaves everything clean throughout the duration of the project. He helped realize each project based on inspirational photos we showed him, helped source materials, and did not leave until the project was 100% to our satisfaction (and his). He added brilliant ideas to each project, and everything turned out wildly better than we anticipated.

Jose also stayed on budget with each project. His bids were detailed and it was always clear exactly where we were in the project each step of the way. We were never invoiced beyond the scope of the projects.

Jose's experience is invaluable for inexperienced remodelers like us. He knew exactly when we needed design direction and his experience was critical to the overall result, particularly when we asked for unusual features. Would highly recommend for any project, and we will be using him again.

I have worked with Cruz on multi-million dollar projects with diversified scope of work, from seismic framing, roof integration, highly specific custom-made finishes and Cruz and his team’s work has been absolutely phenomenal! Jose and Anton were really awesome to work with. We had a budget in our mind and they stick to it. They gave timeline of 6 to 8 weeks for a whole Kitchen and bathroom remodel but finished in a month as we were expecting and baby came home early. They were really supportive and provided with lot of new ideas when we added/changed some things in the middle of the project. Anton is really smart and skilled with innovative ideas for any questions you ask.

Kitchen: We replaced the entire cabinets, countertop, backsplash and floor in the kitchen.
Also added a Custom Bar cabinet with glass windows on the top and storage on the bottom with matching countertop as kitchen.

Bathroom: We replaced the vanities in all the bathrooms and facelift for master bathroom with flooring walk-in shower and extra tall storage cabinet.

Really happy with new updated, modern and stylish kitchen and bathroom. Definitely will call them again for any future projects and highly recommend them.

Jose Cruz was an excellent contractor choice for our complete kitchen remodel project. Jose is experienced, a clear communicator, and he was responsive to our questions and requests at every turn from planning, demolition, and installation. His team worked with our schedule and demonstrated care for the worksite. Quality is of utmost importance to Jose. For example, to maximize both form and function, the cabinet layout that Jose and Brittany worked out was not only beautiful, but has been incredibly practical. In addition, the budget process was clear, and his team adhered to that. Jose guided us through a number of product choices and design elements, which truly helped us in our decision making. It was very easy to discuss additional items at our request that fell outside of the budget. We were very appreciative of the entire process, and would use Cruz Construction & Renovation to do any additional work on our house in the future.

We hired Cruz Construction to remodel our basement, which included a great room, laundry room, bathroom, new stair case and build out of a small office. Jose and his foreman, Rodrigo, made up the primary team - and we really couldn't have asked for a better group to be in our home for the three-month project. We were continuously impressed with their attention to detail and with the respect they showed our home.

We had an initial vision for the space but once work was underway, there were some unexpected challenges. Jose and Rodrigo brought creative ideas and consulted with us along the way. They walked us through the work they were doing and why. There was no cutting corners around many of the foundational things. In the end, the finished basement exceeded our expectations.

Before this project, we really dreaded the idea of hiring a contractor in fear of all the renovation horror stories you hear. Our experience was so painless and now we have basement that is cozy and functional. If you're planning a renovation, you are great in great hands with Jose & team!

I cannot give enough praise to Jose and his team at Cruz construction. I reached out to him in late August to get a bid for a full bathroom remodel. He responded quickly and was out to give us an estimate within a few days.
I was amazed at not only his professionalism, but how easy he was to talk to about the project. He listened to my ideas, and presented a beautiful design.
From the time we agreed to the project, he was in continual communication with us. We were able to fully start the remodel in January, but even before then, he assisted us with picking out materials, helping us choose items from from different vendors, and working out details that we had thought of. Unlike other contractors, very small details matter to him. He is attentive to the most minor inaccuracies, and will go back and correct them until he and I are both happy.
In the past, we’ve had difficulties not having a project manager onsite. Not the case with Cruz Construction. Jose was here almost daily (M-F), unless he was picking up materials, which was always communicated to us. We also appreciated the additional security provided by having a lock box for the key to our house. He didn’t even seem to be bothered by our dogs, who were kenneled, but can be very vocal.
Jose gave us a dream bathroom, down to the detailing on the shampoo shelves. I would totally work with him again on future projects, and will be doing so for my daughter’s bathroom in the near future.

TL;DR: Hire Cruz Construction and Renovation

This project has been in the works for over a year. We initially asked Jose to come out and estimate a much more expansive remodel for a master and guest bathroom. This would've been our first remodel as homeowners, and we were looking for rough numbers that we could start setting budgets to. Jose was very detailed, methodical, and offered a number of ways for us to conserve budget, while still getting the space we wanted.

A year later, and with expectations properly set, our guest bathroom still needed a lot of work. With young son and one on the way, we needed a tub to replace the shower as no bathroom in the house has a tub. Jose took our designer's plans and we worked with him to make it executable. We were responsible for buying all finish materials and had them ready for him on just about day one. His crew set out flooring protection and wall protection to keep as much dust contained as possible. Jose and his team, who were fantastic, accommodated our desire to remove and blow back in nearly new insulation in our attic to raise the ceilings to match the rest of the house. They laid large format tile on the floor and executed a ¼ offset tub surround tile, while adding beautiful vertical blue tile behind a floating vanity. Tile really was the standout part of this project and Jose nailed it with flush, flat, surfaces on three different tiles. The shower niche is a lowkey highlight as the way Jose was able to cut the tile reduced grout lines and he even set the shelves at a slight angle to let water drip out.

The project turned out amazing, and Jose's attention to detail was great; he hit is completiondate to the day. I expected to have a long punch list as I'm quite detail oriented myself, but it was surprisingly short with all the finishing touches, sealants, straight paint lines, and care with the finish materials. I would 100% work with Jose again and look forward to our next project together.

We hired Jose & team after deciding to stay in our home a bit longer. In order to do so we wanted to expand our home to the outdoors with a significant deck. We interviewed about 6 different contractors and decided to go with Jose, and WOW, he did NOT disappoint. He worked with us every step of the way trying to figure out the best options to stay within our budget. He customized (and built) everything from the railings, stairs, privacy wall and the roof. We will use him going forward for every project that we have, no doubt. If you are looking for someone creative and reliable, Jose and team are the right team for you!

Jose and team did a phenomenal job on 2 large projects for us: a complete shower tear down / renovation and repairing of our hardwood floors in a room which had buckled ~2 feet high and split due to water damage. Jose worked with us to customize the shower layout. He was also able to salvage much of the damaged floor and re-use it which we greatly appreciated as a close match would likely not be possible. Billing was itemized and clear and aligned very well with initial quotes. His crew were extremely professional with high attention to detail and cleaned up spotlessly when their work was done. I have recommended Cruz Construction to my friends in the area and I will definitely be using them again for any future projects.

Cruz construction and Renovation LLC has been a breath of fresh air to work with. We contacted a number of contractors to do a complete remodel of our kitchen before ultimately deciding to go with Jose and his crew. This was one of the best decisions we have ever made! Jose stayed true to form ensuring he would not sub contract this job to others. Unlike previous experiences with other contractors, Jose personally worked on our kitchen from day one. He kept his crew small and efficient. Our biggest concern with any contractor was communication. Jose consistently provided us with updates through the kitchen remodel. Nothing was done without first communicating with us. As far as the design on the kitchen, Jose was encouraging and mirrored our enthusiasm. He gave us great suggestions when we weren’t sure about design aspects. He never pushed his own agenda, but rather wanted to make our vision of our kitchen come to life. He provided sound suggestions along the way.

Lastly, Jose and his crew exemplified professionalism and excellent craftsmanship. They were punctual, on time, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Their attention to detail is what really set them apart. During installation of our backsplash, if a tile was slightly off, Jose would not stop until it’s precisely aligned or he would simply redo a section of the kitchen until it was perfect.

If you are on the fence or unsure about which contractor to hire for your home improvement, I urge to contact Jose and Cruz Construction. We will be hiring Jose again for our guest bathroom in the near future. You will thank me later.

We worked with Cruz Construction and Jose for an extensive, year-long home remodel, and we are very happy with the result. After talking to over a dozen contractors, Jose immediately stood out as kind, honest, transparent, and easy to talk to.

The scope of work was massive and complex, including nearly 2000 square feet of tile and heated floors, layout restructuring, full electrical and plumbing changes, custom millwork, and the installation of our kitchen cabinets and appliances. This project had many moving parts and also, naturally, required change orders as we made design adjustments midway.

Jose's flexibility was crucial. He was always willing to accommodate our design changes and put his best foot forward to get the job done exactly the way we wanted it. Cruz Construction and Jose take pride in the quality of their work ans craftsmanship.

A major strength we observed was Jose’s ability to collaborate and manage the job site. Since we hired a designer for this project, effective communication was essential, and Jose was great at working with them to prioritize creative decisions. Furthermore, we occasionally had other specialized contractors on site (for masonry repair, countertop installation, and railing installation), and Jose always managed the logistics smoothly, giving them the necessary space and access to complete their specialized work without interference.

We highly recommend Jose and Cruz Construction for anyone undertaking a large or complicated renovation.

We started off talking about a kitchen remodel and ended with updating the whole first level. Jose was patient and accommodating. We added a little from the original job, like putting in the french doors. Jose is highly skilled and knowledgeable, helping us make decisions when we were having trouble. Attention to detail is a key component to what he does.

They came in for a job to replace a warped beam on my balcony. Paul L. was very responsive the whole time with me. Kept me up to date on the status of the job and the job was done on time just like they said. The workmanship was great. After they were done, the site was clean and everything was great. Highly recommend anyone to give Paul L. a call. He will take good care of you.

After calling a million and one companies & getting no luck, I stumbled across Home Care and got an answer from Paul Y at 1st attempt. He was extremely friendly & seemed like he really wanted to help . The difference between him & the others I spoke with was he was able to come out that SAME day to take a look at what needed to be done & provide a quote. After that, he was able to get someone out just 2 days later to start the work. He sent out a guy named Matt who was just as cool as could be so the overall experience was amazing. I told them what color I wanted for my flooring & I'm 100% satisfied that they were able to bring my vision to life . The communication between all parties was also a good experience. I felt involved with getting my bathroom to look how I wanted. Would I recommend HOME CARE, YES. Would I use them again, YES!!
