Ed was extremely responsive, responding to my website inquiry within an hour or so, and we set an appointment for him to look at a couple of outlets that were no longer working properly. He was able to quickly diagnose and resolve the issues all in the same visit, which was great. He also helpfully recommended solutions to a few other "older house" issues. I really appreciated this because contractors are swamped these days and it's tough to find someone who's happy to look at a small job. Would definitely call Ed again!

Called Thursday and spoke to Ed. Indicated I lost power in our detached garage. Something was tripping the breaker and I couldn't figure out. I asked if there was initial charge for them to come out and provide estimate and he said No and who does that he exclaimed!!! Now that's unheard of. Ed came by the next day and he introduced himself as the owner. Ed was very pleasant, took a quick peek of the issue and explained the process. There was no pressure. I recommend this company.

The Benchmark Home Services staff and electricians are fantastic! This Monday morning we contacted them by e-mail and received a prompt reply and by Monday afternoon we received a home visit from a very professional lead electrician to estimate the work to be done. During the initial in home consultation the electrician answered all our questions. On Tuesday we worked together with the staff by e-mail and agreed to the scope of work at a better than fair price and we scheduled an appointment for the work to be performed on Wednesday morning. The crew arrived early and the work was professionally completed within hours. Our projects included replacing multiple light fixtures, a ceiling fan, installation of a new dimmer switch and a new thermostat. All of the work was done perfectly and the site was all cleaned up before they left. I will definitely be contacting them again for future services. This is a review for Ed and Benchmark Home Services....
Ed was the best! I contacted Benchmark on the weekend via the Benchmark website (as they are a local electrical company I identified via a Google Map search) and filled out my request to replace a ceiling light fixture. Ed got back to me on Sunday (which I didn't expect) and offered to help. On Monday he scheduled with me to replace the 14" ceiling light (that I had been wanting to get done for a month) and he arrived Monday afternoon, promptly as scheduled, was very professional and completed the work in under a half hour! I am very happy with the job and how easy it was to get done. Thank you Ed!

Ed and his team did a great job! He was super patient walking through the entire process and took a huge load off our plate by working directly with our contractor. The final product came out great and his team was always on time and respectful of our space. Honest, dependable, responsive, and cost effective! We were really happy to work with Ed at Benchmark Home Services. The previous owner of our home had personally installed some rather questionable electrical wiring at some point which was causing us problems, and finally an outage for part of the house. Benchmark wired and installed an EV charger for my home. They easily deserve 5 stars. The communication, scheduling, pricing, and quality of work were all amazing. Ed came out to give the quote and took time to help answer all the questions I threw at him. Kirill and Juan did the work quickly with high quality. I look forward to hiring them for my future electric and HVAC needs.

Quoting $575 to change a single outlet, is highway robbery. They clearly want to squeeze every cent out of you.

Used Benchmark to get a new outlet installed outside. They were able to get me on the schedule quickly, which has been hard to find lately. Communication via email was very responsive and easy. They showed up right on time for our appointment and accomplished the work very quickly. Install went in great and it works perfectly. When accomplishing the work, for safety reasons they had to turn off my heat pump, and forgot to turn it back on before leaving. They were able to make everything right very quickly and easily and I appreciated they're communication. Would not hesitate to use them again for work.

The Benchmark folks assessed the electrical needs of our kitchen remodel and got the job done quickly. They listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions. They were professional and thorough. I would recommend their services.

My Garage Power went out and turning the circuit breaker on and off did not work. I called Benchmark Home Services and they suggested I look into the ground reset. Sure enough, the reset on one of the sockets in the garage was popped up, I pressed it, and power was back on! Sorry I forgot the name of the person I spoke to, but Benchmark Home Services, you people are amazing. You saved me a couple of hundreds for a service visit. I can never thank you enough.

We had a problem with a combo electric switch that controls lights and has an electrical outlet. The switch would turn the lights on and off correctly but the outlet only had power when the lights were turned off.

Benchmark Home Services quickly diagnosed the issue as a missing neutral line that they installed. The entire visit took only a half hour. Now the combo electrical switch works properly and the price was more than fair.

We were so pleased with their work that we hired them again to do work at another location.

I've worked with several other companies in the area, and Ed's team is by far the best! Their craftsmanship is superb, and they operate with incredible efficiency. They installed a dual-zone mini-split system for me, which required a new circuit. The entire process was seamless, the work was done in a super timely manner, and the quality was top-notch, as always. I am absolutely loving the AC right now. The units they picked are top notch.

This was a great experience across the board. We came home to find our dining room without power and the breaker wasn't tripped. I did my limited troubleshooting and requested a free quote from Benchmark. Ed was kind and took me through some things over the phone. When his repair person came out, he quickly found a power plug that I missed that had it's own rest/test button. He clicked the button and the power was back! We disscused the potential cause and what I can do to avoid it, but really it was a 3 minute "repair". Ed and his colleague agreed that we shouldn't be charged and we are so grateful for their kindness.

We've worked with Ed & team on several projects now - from wiring a new studio shed next to our house, to replacing our heat pump. He and his team are always friendly, respectful, and get the job done well. It is so incredibly valuable to have someone I trust to help out with electrical and HVAC!

We just had our heat exchanger replaced by Thomas and William. They were both polite and friendly. Went right to work, Thomas is very knowledgeable and explained what they saw and what they were doing so we could understand what we needed to watch for. Previously, Daniel installed a burner assembly and diagnosed the furnace problem correctly. He too was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We applaud the professionalism and friendliness of these three individuals. Thanks for fixing our furnace.
