The whole team at Take Charge was fabulous. Starting from Matt, adjusting the quote and scheduling with Jennifer, and the other electricians that assisted Matt, I had a great experience. They were nothing short of gracious, professional, tidy and hard working throughout all my correspondence and their actual work at my house.
During my initial consultation with Matt, my husband was working on setting up internet but he was having trouble getting our internet wifi system up and running. Without even being asked to look into our internet connection issue, Matt figured out that a coaxial cable outside the house was disconnected and mentioned it to us and so we connected it and got our internet up and running. Then we finished our consultation with him for the work I initially wanted to discuss with him.
On the day of the work, Take Charge laid down tarp on my carpet to make sure they didn’t track dirt and pine needles before they started the work. They swept after the work was done.
I’ll call Take Charge for all
my electrical needs in the future.

I used Take Charge Electric to install underground power to our home on October 10, 2024. Anthony and Hayden arrived on time and they soon after got all set up to begin digging the trench from the county road to our home meter box. Hayden placed the pvc conduit in the trench and both men successfully pulled the cable through the conduit. After the virtual L&I inspection PenLight made all the connections and the power was back on by the early afternoon. I’m really pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of the Take Charge Electric employees and I highly recommend their business.

Her ability and communication allows Matt to squeeze in time for the crews to get over to our remote island and quickly get us back on track.

I had a fantastic experience working with Take Charge Electric on a recent electrical service installation project.

First off, they did the most important thing that so few contractors actually do: they did what they said they'd do, they did it when they said they'd do it, and they did it thoughtfully and correctly without any micromanagement! Amazing! Already in love.

Beyond the fundamentals, the entire experience was fantastic. Both Jenn and Matt are available, communicative, friendly, and ever-helpful. As a full-time working parent in the “sandwich generation,” myself, I also appreciate that they put clear boundaries in place to protect their well-being and work/life boundary, and set clear expectations with me about what I could expect in terms of schedules, response times, etc. They were wonderful to work with from initial scheduling and consultation all the way through paying my final invoices.

I'm also a very curious (annoying?) customer and asked a ton of questions to really understand what was needed, what I'd be getting, and what the alternatives were. Not only did they show me patience and understanding in answering all of my questions and concerns, but they actually walked me through several additional alternatives that ultimately turned out to be better for me than what I’d originally asked for!

I want to ultra-emphasize this: one of the biggest struggles as a non-professional working with contractors in any trade is that one doesn’t always have the language or the knowledge to tell the tradespeople what you want in terms they will understand. Very often, contractors don’t do their part of the work to help their clients figure out the OUTCOME they want, not what the METHOD they THINK they want, and when all is said and done the client ends up frustrated and unhappy.

Take Charge did an AMAZING job of working me through my own misconceptions about what was best and helping me achieve the outcome I actually wanted, rather than just blindly doing what I initially asked for. I find this to be a super rare trait/skill among professionals in the industry, and it really makes Take Charge Electric stand out.

10/10, will absolutely be using again for all foreseeable electrical needs.

It was a real pleasure having Take Charge Electric move and rewire my home electrical service. They provided a competitive bid, showed up on time, accomplished the work (including power disconnect, State inspection and service reconnect) all on the same day. They even went above the call fixing other electrical issues while they were on site - and didn't even charged me for it ! They know their business, were completely reliable, pleasant to work with, and fairly priced. I'll go to them again for my next electrical job in a heartbeat !

Jenn and Matt at Take Charge are professional, punctual, skilled, responsive and considerate. They came out several times over the past year to perform various jobs - install whole house surge protection, troubleshoot faulty lights, install new receptacles, replace/redo outdoor electrical work, and work on our electrical panel. Very happy with our Take Charge Electric installation of a new electrical panel, a new connection to our well house, and replacement of old electrical outlets in the house. Matt did a great job with the initial visit and took in all the notes and concerns we had so that it did not have to be repeated later. The guys, Anthoney and Hayden did a great job. They were business-like from the time they arrived until they left and did a very professional installation. Anytime I had a question it was thoughtfully answered and in our final review we saw that all our comments were addressed.

We had many "Big" name outfits make a bid, but Take Charge had the best value in pricing and I can not imagine a better job being done. We will use them again. ---Tom

Take Charge electric is a great company. Their technicians are professional, kind, and thorough. They work with you and explain everything they find if something isn't right (I had some surprises from previous shoddy work). They are very honest and responsive when needed. I would highly recommend them for your home electrical needs. (also, they were less expensive than multiple other companies I got bids from - YAY!).

Our septic system flooded according to Kurt’s Septic. He pumped it and recommended Matt at Take Charge Electric, who responded quickly. Matt did an excellent job installing a new pump and floats, plus thoroughly inspecting the electrical system. We certainly appreciated all Matt and Jen did for us.
