I've worked with NuTek multiple times now. They did all the electrical for an outdoor patio, dimmers in the house, ceiling fans, running new outlets. They've been a pleasure to work with. On time, pricing is spot on and very easy to get a hold of (I text the owner) + its a local business! Couldn't recommend them more.

Answered his phone promptly and professionally. He tried to fix the problem over the phone. When I could not do it, he arrived at my house quickly and resolved the issue within the hour. I liked how he explained to me what he was doing and how to fix related issues.

NuTek did an outstanding job replacing an in-floor heating system's control thermostat. They also repaced an outdoor electrical box for landscape and external outside power plug receptacles. They were fast, efficient, affordable and very professional. I would recommend NuTek Electric without reservation. They will be my first call for any future alectrical related repairs and/or installation work.

We had Nutek out to our house for a list of work just as the owner states on above on my husband's 1 star rating. We had asked for a dedicated line to be put in our garage for our workout equipment and that was not done correctly as the fuse blows every time we turn on our treadmill or stairmaster. We also have a hot tub in our backyard that showed on the inspection before buying the house that the electrical outlet did not work. The tech looked at it for 2 seconds and told us it did actually work and we should get the hot tub fixed. We had a hot tub repair company come out at our expense after we were told this and it is in fact not the hot tub that is broken, it is the electrical outlet that is not working. We had flickering lights around the house that we wanted fixed, they said they fixed them but they have never stopped flickering. The 2 techs that showed up also smelled like weed and were definitely high (which didn't really bother me as long as they did their job but obviously that wasn't the case).
My husband contacted the company numerous times to have them come back out and the owner first gave us a date 2 weeks out that he "maybe" could fit us on his schedule. We waited to hear back and he never called so my husband called and emailed multiple times with no response from the owner.
I will not have him say that his company did great work at our house in his response to my husband and that we just were unsatisfied that he could not come back due to a busy schedule and we then got mad. That is far from the truth and he is obviously hostile to anyone leaving a negative review as is apparent above.

This is definitely NOT the first time you have heard of our complaints of poor work. My husband told you the issues the first time he spoke with you after your initial visit and tried to get you to come back out. Why else would we have needed you to come back?? If you did the work correctly the first time then there would have been no need for a follow up. We also have emails to you stating that we needed you to come back out due to work not being done correctly which you failed to respond to. The reason I am only now writing a poor review is that I needed an electrician to come out for something else and I saw your company and read reviews including your response to my husband's 1 star rating. Google doesn't alert when an owner responds so we didn't know you had. Reviews also do not have an expiration date. You are not "being beat up with harsh words publicly" as you state. I wrote an honest review which I am entitled to do, the way you take it and the way you handle your responses and future customers is up to you.

We had one ceiling fixture blow out and that’s it. Randy came same day, replaced a faulty wired light in bathroom. He also checked and reset our GFI system. We had a few more questions for him about future work. Randy was very informative and helpful. I was concerned about getting a qualified electrician to do a small job but Randy was great!

Randy and the team at Nutek Electric resolved our electrical problem immediately. They responded timely to our request for service, and the technician was knowledgeable and professional. We would not hesitate to contact them for other electrical needs or recommend them to others.

Randy and Daniel were very responsive and accomodating with a last minute change to our hot tub delivery. They worked with us to get the wiring done the same day of the delivery and everything was operational in one day. I was very impressed. The crew was very professional and price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for your electrical needs.

Have used Randy several times in installing entertainment systems. During the construction of our home in 2008, an major upgrade in 2018 and a service call back this month. All 3 times he and/or his employees were professional and competent. This last time was due to my causing a problem. He sent out Daniel & a helper who resolved the problem in quick order. I am a retired Commercial General Contractor having been licensed in 3 states and having been involved in 3/4 of a billion dollars of construction in my career. I recommend Nutek without reservation.

This is the second time that I have had Nutek Electric to my home for separate service requests. On this visit Daniel did an amazing job consolidating circuits to allow for installation of a bus transfer setup for a generator plug in, and installation of a new circuit for use in the garage. The generator plug in on the outside of the house is a perfect placement and will be very convenient to bring the house back on line during an outage. This was truly no thinking required on my part. I told Randy (owner) what I wanted, and in one week after his visit and quote I could not be happier.

NuTek was great - I had what turned out to be a simple shorting problem with hardwired smoke detectors. Rather than coming out and charging me for a service call that would have lasted 5 minutes, the electrician I talked to told me what the problem was based on my description and offered to give me the easy DIY fix over the phone, including the caution about finding and flipping the correct breaker before fixing the short. 2-minute phone call; problem fixed; no charge. I’ve used Nutek before (and paid), and I’d use them again without hesitation.

My new standby generator installation experience was outstanding.
The first contact for installation was on a Friday and installation was complete on the subsequent Friday.
The installation work was professional and of the highest quality. Panel installations were well done with the work area cleaned leaving no trace that work was even done.
On-site evaluation to bid to installation to final payment was a breeze.
The entire experience gives me the confidence to highly recommend Nutek Electric as your new standby generator installer.
Truly a five star performance.

Review update:
I followed my own advice and had Nutek Electric install a new standby generator at my personal residence this time. The installation was more complex because it required the addition of propane tanks to fuel the generator. I bought the propane tanks from Nutek Electric and they installed them. The only thing I had to do was arrange for them to be filled prior to generator installation. I'm impressed with all aspects of workmanship. I am also impressed with how I was kept informed of all aspects of this project. Nutek Electric is a 5+ star business.

Life SAVER! We're just finishing a basement remodel and needed some final work in the 11th hour, but our existing electrician was not available. Matt with Take Charge got the final work completed just hours before listing our house and saved our bacon! THANKS MATT!!!!!

Good experience throughout the process, from initial visit to on-time completion and cleanup when done. Competitively priced. Communication from company office for scheduling, during and after the job was great. We recommend and would use this company again.

Matt came out to Herron Island to do some electrical work that was required following the home inspection. I sent the portions of the home inspection report, along with photos, and received an estimate. The day he undertook the work he was on time, worked at a nice speed, and did a great job. He did suggest a couple of work orders and the invoice ended up being only a couple of hundred dollars more than the original estimate. Throughout the process, including the estimate and scheduling, they were organized, communicative and very professional. Matt and his crew repaired our failed electrical service line. They found the failure. spliced in a new line, dug a new trench and made all the connections to the existing meter. They worked hand in hand with Pen Light to get us back up and running, including the required inspection and permit.

We used Take Charge Electric for some deck lighting and wiring for a hot tub installation at our home. Matt was SUPER easy to work with in getting an estimate put together, and answered all of our questions as we are not experts and we wanted to be sure that our family was in good hands.
