Classic Nursery just wrapped up a 3+ week landscape redesign project for my Issaquah home. I was in communication with Alan, the landscape designer, starting in 2017 and finally decided to move forward with this extensive project. Alan is patient, knowledgeable, responsive and full of experience that he brings to his projects. With very few revisions, I went with the landscape design which included a new flagstone patio for a fire pit, dry-streambed treatments around the property, 14 light installations and a water fountain feature at the entryway. Hugo was the foreman for the job and was on-time, knowledgeable, great with communication and made changes quickly as he and I translated the landscape design sketch into reality. At the nursery, Don, was patient, knowledgeable and listened well to understand what plantings I wanted and would do well around my home. I purchased 20+ different shrubs and plants and Don was friendly in showing me around the nursery and indicating what I might like. I can't say enough positive things about Classic Nursery. I will definitely be referring others to them and giving them more business as I continue to invest in my outdoor spaces.

Three years ago, my husband and I decided to have landscape work done at our home. We met with Alan, walk the yard, discussed alternatives, and ideas to achieve our vision of the project. He gave us many ideas on how to best proceed, and then provided a preliminary drawing including an itemized cost sheet to review. After a few changes, we were ready to sign a contract and schedule the work.
There were two phases for the project, demolition and installation. The demolition included removing old sod, existing overgrown shrubs, and preparing the grounds and plant beds for the next phase. The installation consisted of a small paver patio, new sod, new plants, a crushed rock walkway, bark, and small amount of drainage work.
Alan and his work crew arrived at our home on the appointed day to begin. Throughout our project we were impressed with the pride and work ethic reflected in their workmanship and they were a pleasure to work with. Alan checked in several times over the course of the project. We also were put in contact with staff at the nursery regarding plant selection. We were not disappointed in the finished product!
I was familiar with Classic Nursery & Landscape Company and the talented owner/designer, Alan Burke. He is very knowledgeable, easy going, and a pleasure to work with. Throughout the project he made himself available to answer questions and was patient with our few changes.
All and all the experience was special and a delight. So, after three years how are things looking? Pretty good! Some plants have outgrown their place, and will need transplanting. And I have a few more ideas I’m going to need help with. I’ll be in touch with Alan and Classic Nursery again, soon!

First, we are repeat customers of Classic Nursery, and we highly recommend their services! They did a patio project for us several years ago that we were impressed with, so we called on them again to design and build a small courtyard behind the house. This project required excavation and the building of a retaining wall.

Working with Alan was a smooth and professional experience. He and his crew worked well together. The crew was hard working and the work was always completed on the agreed upon schedule. Alan did a great job of being responsive to us throughout the project by answering any questions we had. Classic Nursery has been in business for many years and their experience was very much appreciated. We also appreciated the help we received from Don at Classic's garden center. He was knowledgeable about the plants and was a pleasure to work with in that regard.

One last note is that Classic took Covid safety precautions seriously, as you would expect.

Excellent experience from start to finish. We absolutely enjoyed the work done by Classic Nursery from initial drawings to final product. Devin and her team helped us create a true outdoor living space that is functional and aesthetic. Don was so knowledgeable about the plant recommendation. They helped transform 75% of our 10,000 square foot lot and install irrigation. Highly recommend.

We are exceptionally happy with our complete landscaping design and installation by Classic Nursery and Landscaping. The service and design from Leah was truly exceptional. She created an innovative design that perfectly blends the modern/classic aesthetic we were looking for and was way above our expectations. The final plant choices were also more unique and higher quality than I expected (even my mother the gardener liked our new landscape). Leah was also great at managing the project and making sure that everything went smoothly. Finally, all of the project staff were professional and hardworking. We loved working with Alan and his crew. I highly recommend Classic Nursery, they were very professional and delivered high quality work.
They designed and redid our front and backyard. My favorite part is the beautiful flagstone patio and the dry river they installed for better water flow.
Alan helped us decided the best flowers and shrubs to plant for easy maintenance.

Highly recommended. Alan did an excellent job designing my entire backyard to be dog-friendly AND beautiful. Don selected perfect plants in colors I love. The project was completed last fall, when plants were dormant and now in March I can see their beauty and am so happy with their work. Alan "got it" with the look I wanted, safe for rowdy dogs, and all within budget.

Alan and his team did a great job with the landscaping of our front and back yards. Alan was highly professional, knowledgeable, available, and always on time. He was flexible and attentive to our questions, requests, and schedule limitations/changes. We started from scratch and ended up with a beautiful path, a large patio, all surrounded by plants of our choice. Great nursery run by Don who gave us an informative tour, and along with Alan provided a comprehensive list of plants from which we picked many. Their work was clean, comprehensive, and on schedule. They remained within the original budget and explained the plan step by step throughout the project. Alan stayed on top of all stages of this work by his team and regularly visited the site in person. We highly recommend this team and we will be working with them in the future again!

Excellent service and landscaping design for my small backyard. Quick to adapt design and ensure I was happy with the drawings. Felt secure with the work starting since design was well discussed. Excellent staff and left with zero items on a punch list! Discount shopping card to add to garden. Consult with ideas for an all season garden. Great local nursery and company.

We have a big patio now, also pathway from front-yard to the backyard. We have fire-pit area, water features and dry river bed. Planting some trees and shrubs. It was beautiful! We love it!

I got several bids for a 1400sq foot project and selected Classic Nursery, not because they were there cheapest but because of the reviews is read about them and the very organized approach. I had to wait two months from the time I signed and provided a deposit to the start date. It was worth the wait. They've exceeded my expectations. My yard looks phenomenal. I'm attaching some before and after pictures. I had a two hour appointment at the nursery with the Master Gardener to select my plants and ask a plethora of questions. Truly awesome!

We had a great experience with Alan and his crew. We hired Classic Nursery to design and redo all our gardens plus install a new front walkway. The process was easy and low stress. Alan met us at our house, discussed the project with us, put together a proposal, and did the design. I have been using Newport Landsccaping for many, many years exclusively. I use their services for both my professional clients as a real estate agent, when I am preparing listings for sale. I also use them for my own personal property. I have found Jose and his team to be not only punctual, but availabel when I need them and I am very demanding wth timing. I also find that no matter how many other bids I receive from competitors, theirs is always the best rate at the right time. The quality of their work is pehnomenal copared to any others I have used in the past.
Their ability to do not only complex landscaping, but other types of outdoor services, like fence buiding, power washing and many other things is so convenient.
Jose and his team are at the top of their field, and you should absolutely call them anytime you need work done on your properties! I highly reccommend them.

Jose re-did our rather large yard when we moved to our new home. He cleaned up the mess the old owners had left and re-sodded and planted trees and shrubs, He also completed a drain system for the downspouts to a catch basin. He is reliable, dependable and always on time.

Jose has been mowing my lawn for a couple of years. His team and him are very efficient. They arrive at the agreed upon time and mow the lawn in less than 30 minutes. I had also hired him to replace a faulty sprinkler valve, that caused a my sprinklers to leak non-stop for a few hours. He walked me through the mains and his team stopped by to look for the source of the leak and was able to fix it within a few hours. I trust him to do a good job. He is very knowledgeable of landscaping and is ethical.

Jose handles yard care at several high-end rental properties. He's been great to work with, very dependable, and always willing to take on extras like planting rows of large trees or filling porch planters with flowers, installing drip irrigation or winterizing sprinkler systems. He needs little direction and is always good at providing ideas and suggestions. We highly recommend him.

Jose has been our landscaper for a few years. He is dedicated, responsible and competent. He does our regular yard maintenance and shrubs/trees trimming. We loved coming home to a well maintained landscape.

Jose has also done bigger projects for us. He has installed new lawns, put up French drains, build and set up wood fences, to mention a few. He does quality cost effective work to make a difference...

Pinewood Landscapes did an amazing job on our property. The lawn and landscaping look clean, polished, and professionally maintained.

This business bought product from us for a project he was doing in Bellevue.
He never paid us for the product in the amount of $2033.25 and we had to lien the homeowner in order to get paid. We'll see what happens.

Be careful of this Company!!!
