Reviews of local pros in Longview, Washington

We had Champ’s Tree Service do a couple of jobs at our home & we were very pleased with the results. They showed on time, worked quickly & efficiently & stayed true to their estimate. Would highly recommend their services!

We used Champs Tree Service to grind a few stumps up in our yard. They did great work and were reasonably priced. Would highly recommend them and will use them again.

Champs tree service goes above and beyond, I had some trees taken down and they were very friendly and did a great job from protecting things in my yard to the final cleanup. Highly recommend

Champs has done a couple of different jobs for me over the years, trimming & tree removal on one, tree removal & stump grinding on the other. Both projects were done in a timely & professional manner, and exactly on the budget we agreed to. I would recommend them any time, amd have several times over the years!

Champs cut down 7 trees on my neighbors property and left a mess on my side of the fence. While they are not legally obligated to clean it up, I certainly wouldn’t hire someone who would leave a mess like this on my neighbor’s property.I emailed them and asked them to clean it up, but got no response.

I had a very Large Redwood tree on my property that became a nuisance. Blocked the view of cross traffic, hit power lines, and eventually would fall on it's own. Champs safely removed the tree in sections, ground the stump down low enough that grass would grow where it was, and if you drive down Laurel Rd, you will never know where it used to be. Very happy with the Service.

I've had Champ's cut trees and shrubs. They did a great job and they cleaned up the job very well. I'll have them do any tree services I need. Great Job

We have used Champs Tree Service multiple times. They always arrive when scheduled and leave the place clean. They have always respected our property and are polite and professional. Piece of mind knowing they are properly licensed and bonded. Would highly recommend them for any job size.

When in need of any tree service, I would highly recommend Champs. On short notice, Artie came out himself to remove a large stump by our house in Longview. He was friendly, professional and cost was fair. He did run into a hidden bee hive, causing him to run away from the angry bees for a while, but soon returned and finished the job. No extra charge for angry bees. My brother used them recently to remove trees up the Kalama River Road. He was very happy with his service there too.

I had Champs Tree Service come out and cut back some trees growing too close to our home. They came right out, looked at the job and Artie gave me some suggestions, an estimate and a date they could do it.
They arrived, put down protective plywood over the lawn where they were going to park their big truck. I told them it was unnecessary, but didn't want to take the chance of damaging anything.
They quickly went to task and finished the job in a few hours. I even asked it they could trim up another tree before they left.
Champ's Tree Service has been in business or what seems like forever in Cowlitz County. They are professional, honest and genuine friendly people. I highly recommend them

Wonderful company to work with. Knowledgeable, fairly priced and honest. I’ve used Champs at my personal property and rentals for years. If you need trimming, tree removal or stump grinding I highly recommend Champs.

I quoted to have my 40’ birch and 2 gangly apple trees removed and the stumps ground down so I could plant grass. The estimator was there inside 48 hours and the trees were done 3-4 days later in one afternoon. The stumps were ground down the next morning. They were fast, professional and respectful with attention to my property. Not the cheapest quote, but the cheaper ones I got were from operators who could not provide insurance. My wife wanted peace of mind had something gone wrong.

I’d use Champ’s again except they took all my trees!! Highly recommended.

I have used champs tree service several times. They are always very friendly and professional. They show up on time, get the job done quickly and safely and clean up behind themselves. Highly recommended!

Go with Champ's and forget the rest!
I would give them 10 stars if possible.
Artie and his crew are truly the best arborists I have ever worked with! These guys have removed trees for me and trimmed my apple orchard. Apples came back better than ever. They came and took care of tree limbs touching our house and went beyond expectations with their clean up and attention to detail. Their team is nothing short of a well-oiled machine, Safety was top notch also. I would highly recommend Champ’s for any tree job, big or small.

I’ll bet we have done close to
100 jobs with Champs Tree Service in the last 15+ years. A lot of planning and preparation go into tree removal, especially the big ones. Artie has this down to a science from coordinating with the PUD to making sure the neighbors are on board. What they do can be dangerous but when you see the levels of safety employed you realize you’ve chosen the right company. They are seldom the lowest bid but always the best choice. I recommend Artie always!

We decided to try and trim up our tree out front of our house, we were able to get some smaller limbs off but decided to stop while we were ahead and call champs. They not only came within a few days to removed our debris and give us a reasonable quote on getting the tree finished correctly. While gathering debris my elderly neighbor asked if they had time to trim down her small tree in her front yard. They said yes, and worked in a timely manner to get both of our tree trimming needs met. We were very satisfied with their customer service and efficiency. Highly recommend.

Champ's Tree Service did excellent work for us and we are extremely pleased with the results.
The crew was courteous and very safety minded. They pruned our fruit trees with precision & accuracy. We also requested they cut down a large fir tree in our pasture; they landed the tree perfectly and limbed and bucked it to our specs as well. We also had them grind multiple stumps which they did with expertise and efficiency. The crew worked the entire time and also did a great job chipping boughs and raking the limbs from the trees they worked on.
We would absolutely recommend Champ's Tree Service. We are repeat customers and will continue to use them. The pricing was very fair and well worth the quality of professional service they provide. 5+ Stars!

Champs tree service has done multiple jobs on my property and my father's property! The team always does an amazing job! Very knowledgeable and helpful with any and all questions and communication is on point! Thanks for all the work you do around our community! Definitely would recommend them for any of your tree work needs!!!

I recently hired Champs Tree Service to remove a large, hazardous tree from my property, and I couldn't be more impressed with their work. From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, their team demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional skill. They safely removed the tree without any damage to my surrounding landscape and left my yard spotless. Their competitive pricing and outstanding customer service make them a top choice for anyone in need of tree services. I highly recommend Champ’s Tree Service for their expertise and dedication to quality work.

It took Champ’s merely 24 minutes to remove my 3 huge and unsightly arborvitae trees, and another sub-10 minutes to grind away the stumps. Professional and courteous, got scheduled super fast, and best quote I received. Awesome local Longview business. A++!!

Champs Tree Service came through for us on short notice and truly helped out my parents. They tackled a lot of dangerous tree work, completing the job safely, efficiently, and even under their original quote. Their professionalism was outstanding, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. If you need any tree work done, we highly recommend Champs Tree Service! Thanks Champs!
